HOME INVASION HITS HOME
It is disgusting when a defenseless 97 year old lady tries to go to bed on Thanksgiving night and gets beaten to death in her ow home. The crime is senseless and brutal. Dollars to donuts this crime , if solved will reveal an interesting back story of the “accused”. Neighbors need to be very vigilant and don’t trust anyone near their property. We were once known as “The Valley With A Heart”, we have to stop being “The Valley of Chumps”. If you know anyone who has any information on this crime, or if you are a scumbag yourself and want to turn on one of your scumbag buddies, let me say this: THERE IS A REWARD!!! $5,000 and counting. Anyone who has information can cal Crime Stoppers at 1 800-4PATIPSor the State Police at Wyoming at 570 693 2000.
SANDY BRULO
Must mention the passing at an all too young age of Sandy Brulo. Brulo had an entire career dedicated to serving troubled youth in this community. All the decades of services were wiped out by one action taken when she doctored a record after being named as a defendant in a civil suit filed by Juvenile defendants in the Luzerne County Court system. People who knew her were astounded that she did such a thing when the Feds were breathing down everyone’s neck at the Courthouse. She was to testify in the Ciavarella trial but was not called. She lost her job as well as gaining a criminal record because of the Judicial scandal. That's the facts but let us not forget the thousands of youth she served in her career prior to the poisoning of her Department by the two Judges now serving time, Ciavarella and Conahan.HEY, IT’S WORKING
Boy are my Republican brethren going to be surprised when many people in America start finding out just what a bargain Obama care is. Already there are stories from people who have saved money and got better services. But the silly asses will still want to repeal it.WB AREA-SAME OLD SAME OLD
The Wilkes Barre Area School Board held its reorganization meeting. New board members, all former employees of the District were sworn in. Denise Thomas, Ned Evans and Joe Caffrey. The new President is Lou Elmy who was Vice President and John Quinn, who was President becomes Vice Chairman. Dr. Jim Susek, Reverend Shawn Walker and Christine Katsock now stand firmly in the minority on this stacked Board of Education. They might as well bring a book to the meetings or listen to ITunes because this faction of cronies is going to do whatever the hell they want anyway. Watch who the majority of school employee lackeys hire. That's right, you guessed it, another lackey. And those third graduation kids are coming up too so look for them to snare jobs. But not before Elmy's wife gets the first pick!BARLETTA SEEKING INTERNS
Congressman Lou Barletta's office announced that internships are available in his Washington, D.C. office and all of his district locations: Hazleton, Carlisle, Harrisburg and Sunbury.
“Any young person who is interested in government and public service would very likely get a lot out of interning in one of my offices,” Barletta said. “It’s a way to get some practical experience and help the residents of the 11th District at the same time.”
Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to be an intern. Internships do not have set start and end dates, but instead depend on the individual student. Schedules are also determined based on an intern’s availability.
To apply, an interested student should send a resume and a cover letter to Rep. Barletta’s office atPA11Internships@gmail.com.
Applications are due by December 20, 2013.

Thank you for the respectful comments about Sandy Brulo. Her life had elements of Greek tragedy, as both a participant in and victim of the corrupting influence of power.
Appalling how it only took 2 minutes for our President to turn the focus of Nelson Mandella's passing to himself.
All of the achievements Mandella accomplished and Obama smoothly makes it about Obama. Skillful but so narcissistic: I'm just like Mandella.
Yonk, you above all should have noticed it. Your eulogies showcase a far superior skill.
Yonk, I have to comment on Sandy Brullo and the article in the CV.
First of all, Sandy was not a bad person but became terrified at what was happening. There was no one better at what she did and she was well educated in her field. What happened to her was an absolute trap. One of her employees, a person she helped along the way, knew how upset she was and figured out what was about to happen. That person (if I can call him that) figured she was going to alter a particular file so he made a copy of the complete original file. A day or so later, he was right, Sandy took the file, changed a recommendation she had made thinking that she would protect herself. That piece of human garbage who took advantage of her state of mind, contacted the authorities, gave them the original copied file and they arrested her and took her out of the building in handcuffs. Terrible! They treated a frightened woman who dedicated her life to helping children like a common thief. Yes she did wrong and yes she was adding another nail to Ciaverella's coffin but we would all have to experience her fear to even begin to understand what and hwy she did it. The story that Buffer wrote and the fact that they published it the way did they makes the Citizen's Voice nothing ore than a rag. By the way, that one act was the only thing that Sandy did wrong and that is a fact.
The Yonk gives a hell of a speech. I saw him a few times and he was very good. I've also heard he gives a heck of a eulogy. Very thoughtful and to the point. Would've made a hell of a priest.
A few things, think Barletta needs help and is reaching out. A shoo in next year. He can afford to be more moderate. Pro choice, pro same sex marriage, pro 6 foot redhead. Yep that would be some church.
Okay now that I gave him a shot have to tell him that I read every day, apprciate the fact that he is here everyday despite holding down a full time job and battling a maddening disease and really enjoy his thought process.
But the poor boy doesn't realize he is more of a Republican than a Democrat. Yonk's views on crime are like a merge of Richard Dailey the Mayor of Chicago in the 60s and Curtis LeMay!!!
Good job, do we get to vote for next year's feature year?
9:34PM
I agree with your post about Brulo and the Voice. Here's the thing I'm sure you know. Historical perspective is something that is lost on local journalsm and reporting. Even though Yonki is not a reporter he has insightful knowledge of all the plsyers and has the ability to put things in their proper perspective. I thought the Voice article was full of head facts but leave it to LuLac to put the heart in a piece.
And I understand the person who dimed Brulo out is long gone. Out of town jaspers and in grates that wouldn't know the word loyalty if it was spelled in shit on a snowy morning on their front lawn.
11:49PM.....Good post but you are incorrect. The piece of human garbage (and you were much too nice in describing him) got a state job! I don't give a shit if there's a haven but I hope there's a hell for this *rick. RIP Sandy.
P.S. I'm the parent of one of the kids she helped when she was at Children's Service Center!
I love the comments by 9:34 PM and 11:49 PM. Both of these posters hit the nail suare and as a person who is well aware of those happenings, I can vouch that Sandy was in a poor state of mind and that bum set her up for a terrible fall. Everything goes round and he will get his. Thanks to all for being fair to Sandy, she deserves more than what they gave her.
Were comin up on the end of the year again and again I call attention to the Anniversary of the death of Hank Williams, the 60th I think.
I think its time the Grand Ol Opry Reinstates Hank Williams! 60 Years is long enough. Youre still goin to the bank on Old Hank, You all.
While I'm on the subject, Shoeless Joe Jackson should be immediately enshrined in Cooperstown with Pete Rose to follow soon after. The Baseball Hall of Fame aint totally been on the up and up themselves at times, ya know.

The Wilkes Barre Area School Board is a joke. Just another arm of the Wilkes Barre City Democratic Party Career Link.
