Hard to believe I'm the 1st to comment, unless Yonki's taking a well-deserved break. More than ever, it's a paradox- What the veterans have gone through in WW-I, WW-II, Korea, Vietnam & now the middle east/southeast asia to allow our country to be what it is (and going to hell, but that's another story), and what the adoring country shows them back. The VA has finally been exposed for what it is- A house of cards. I'm a vet, but I'm thankful I have private insurance so I don't need to use the VA. The VA has been paid lip service for years, not getting the funds they need to really operate, but have a bureaucratic nightmare that sucks up funds for operation for worthless administration. Want to out outsource something- Outsource the VA administration. And pay the staff what they are worth, but ensure they are worth it. Besides SS, the VA should be the 2nd "entitlement" program to be funded, because so many veterans have already paid ahead for their share.
Agree totally with 5:38.
The next time our "representatives" vote on any Veterans issue, they should be made aware that 7000 dead since 9/11/2001 and hundreds of thousands from Vietnam, Korea and WWII are looking closely over their small insignificant shoulders and breathing down the backs of their cowardly necks!
