The LuLac Edition #2723, September 7th, 2014
You care, don’t care, think LuLac is good, think we’re left, centrist or right. .I’ve been nominated for blog of the year on NEPA Blog.com. I have been writing LuLac for more than 8 years, have published more than 2700 editions relating to politics and pop culture. I show up at least four times a week on line and try to make politics fun if not bearable. You can you copy and paste this link or just go on this link and vote for the LULAC POLITICAL LETTER. Voting ends on Sept. 7th at 11:59PM.
Thanks Here’s the link:
Wolf will be accompanied by the star of the 1950sa revival group Sha Na Na Jon Bowser Bauman. Sha NaNa broke onto the music scene in late ’69 on Buddah Records redoing the great old do wop songs of the pre Beatles Rock and Roll era. The group later hosted wildly popular syndicated show. Bauman is very active in Democratic party politics (his cousin is chairman of the Los Angeles County Dems) and Bauman most recently was involved in the special election in 2013 supporting Mark Critz in the race to fill the late John Murtha’s seat. Bauman is a cofounder of the group Senior Votes Count, which is a political action committee designed to elect leaders to protect and advance the rights of Older Americans.
The event starts at 3 and is FREE!!!! . “Bowser” Bauman will be speaking, not singing unless persuaded by Eddie Day Pashinski.
The Beatles made an inroad north and played on this day in Toronto Canada. It was the first time the Fab Four ever played the Provinces.
On 7 September, Labor Day, the Phillies split a doubleheader with the Dodgers in Los Angeles while the Reds lost 2 games to the St. Louis Cardinals. That increased the Phillies' lead to 6 1/2 games with 25 left to play.
Later that week the Phils heavy hitting first baseman Frank Thomas injured his thumb. Actually he broke it sliding into second base as the Dodgers Maury Wills was making the tag. Losing Thomas’ bat, some say was the little chip that led to the Phillies swoon. But as of September 7th, 2014, the Phils were in first place with a 83-53 record. (LuLac archives and Wikipedia).
Yesterday our family gathered to wish my Aunt Mary Yonki a happy 90th birthday. Her birthday is next week but the nieces and nephews got together at Sam and Paula Rostock’s house to commemorate the event. My Aunt was a mainstay at Pittston Hospital and then later at NPW, then Gesinger Wyoming Valley. Up until a few years ago she volunteered at the hospital. It was a great time but more importantly a wonderful way to say thank you to a great lady who was always there for all of us.

90!? God Bless Aunt Mary.
So you DO have some longevity genes, huh Yonk? God help US!
Bowser should be thanking me. I was the Cleveland Rep for Buddah thru London in the heyday!
In spite of my concerns, which are more than one, I am out for Wolf 100%.
Your Aunt Mary's a wonderful woman. God Bless her.
Speaking of Votes, I am a Scot. My father immigrated 100 years ago as a young boy. I have studied Scottish History extensively. I would vote for Scottish independence if only for one reason. I want no part of a King and or Queen. There are other good reasons as well. I would however allow the coronation of Sean Connery as Honorary King!
Just as we wanted independence from Great Britain so do the Scots.
Pete
