HILLARY: THE SECOND TIME AROUND

Hillary Clinton making it official. Officially. (Photo: CNN)
Hillary Rodham Clinton made her “formal” announcement today joined by her family and supporters on Roosevelt Island. Named for the 33rd President who told us “the only thing we have to far is fear itself”, Clinton has decided to wrap her candidacy in the veil of the patrician champion and government innovator of the Depression era.
Clinton called for a new time of shared prosperity in America and told thousands at a presidential campaign rally Saturday that workers can trust her to fight for them. That might be a big sell given the fact that her husband’s NAFTA Treaty took away a lot of manufacturing jobs.
Clinton sounded eerily like Barack Obama w in 2008 when she said "It's America's basic bargain, if you do your part, you ought to be able to get ahead, and when everybody does their part, America gets ahead too." Obama talked about how people follow the rules and still can’t come out ahead back then.
Portraying herself as a fierce advocate for those left to shift for themselves in this economy she called herself a “fighter”.
Referencing Mr. Obama, and former Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Bill Clinton, her husband, she proclaimed they embraced the idea that "real and lasting prosperity must be built by all and shared by all."
It looks like Clinton will bill herself as the “Rocky” of the middle class. She also did not let anyone in the audience forget she wants to be the first female President.
Clinton told her audience that she was glad to be with them "in a place with absolutely no ceilings."
This Clinton campaign has to have a very guerrilla like structure. It has to look insurgent and not aloof as the 2008 campaign under Mark Penn was regarded. That change was punctuated by the presence of her campaign operative who was hawking merchandise and pumping up the crowd at the rally.
With the newbies in my opinion Clinton has to have James Carville at the ready in case things head south organizationally.
On Friday, the Clinton campaign released a video detailing her four decades in public service, starting with her work as a young lawyer at the Children's Defense Fund.
Clinton next visits early-voting states, with events focused on her relationship with her mother, and her father's background as a veteran and small businessman.
A few jabs at her primary opponents Bernie Sanders (can’t win in a general), Martin O’Malley (you were the guy who organized that Baltimore Police culture) and Lincoln Chaffee (Metric system, really??) will help too.
Embracing FDR is smart. Attorney Bill Vinsko and I have had numerous discussions through the years as to why candidates don’t go back to FDR. Matt Cartwright did a few years back, let’s hope Secretary Clinton can make those comparisons stick in her second bid for the Presidency.

Convince me to vote for old Hillary.
Based on her behavior, what does she stand for?

Does hillaryclinton.com get routed to her personal web farm at the house or did she outsource this venture?

At 15 (1966) I was subjected to a rant from a music teacher about FDR, Social Security, etc., turning the country socialist. I didn't understand at the time but it made an impression.

I have since watched in horror as his words have become prophetic.
