The LuLac Edition #3007, August 5th, 2015
When I was a kid growing up in Pittston, my parents thought nothing of me walking from The Junction to The American Theatre in downtown Pittston and seeing a show. My first date with a female was seeing “True Grit” with John Wayne at the old American. In the summer when it was warm, people went to the shows to cool off because very few homes had air conditioning.
I bring this up because another loser with a gun shot up a movie theater in Nashville today. He was killed. He didn't have a real gun but had a hatchet. He had mental issues which I ca sympathize with. All that said though, Americans should not be afraid to see a freaking movie! If anyone should be jumping up and down bout this, it should be Hollywood!
Once more we’ll hear the cries from people about gun control and the right to bear arms. You’ll even have some jackass on Steve Corbett’s Show telling all of us how much weaponry he has and how he will protect his freedom as a patriot with his guns! Corbett shot back with telling him a drone would take his ass out in a millisecond. We’ll hear all the pros and cons. Here’s the bottom line on how we prevent this:
1. Metal detectors at movie houses.
2. Security guards and pat downs.
3. A 5 year mandatory jail sentence of anyone carrying a gun near a theatre. We do it for drugs and schools, let’s do it for guns.
4. Finally if a shot is fired in a movie theatre by an aggressor, if it can be done, they should be shot. Preferably in the head so it will save us a trial and costs of trying to analyze the mental health issues of these animals.
5. Do it once, and this will stop.
Why are we selling drones to private individuals in this country? Just because someone wants something, it doesn’t mean we have to sell it to them. Some place in the United States someone flew a drone over a prison wall and dumped drugs in the yard. A riot ensued.
There should be a registry of who owns them and criminal charges brought for stuff like this. It is equivalent to those three losers who threw cinder blocks off an overpass and damaged an Ohio teacher who was visiting our state.
All it would take would be one airline crash to wake people up.
Linda Urban has threw her hat into the ring to run for City Council in District D. Since the GOP didn’t field a candidate, Bill Barrett will have opposition. Urban is well known as an outspoken critic of Council and the current administration.
The Georgia-based company allegedly failed to return over payments it received from state Medicaid programs and federally-insured health programs. It also was alleged that the company overcharged for some home nursing services by improperly rounding up claims to the nearest whole hour.
Under the terms of the settlement, $2.4 million will go toward Medicaid programs. Additionally, Pennsylvania will receive approximately $81,000 in restitution and other recoveries, which will be returned to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services

Re: MOVIES, GUNS AND AMERICA TODAY
Thanks for not calling for the banning of hatchets (or blades).
Wouldn't this guy had been kept in something like "Retreat State Hospital" (if my memory serves me correctly) until someone came up with the "least restrictive environment" dictate?
This is what happens Yonk and we must understand that we created this chaos 50 some years ago. We need to confine and correct these "timebombs" or accept that they will happen from time to time.
Me? I'm now prepared to protect myself and my family - any time, any where.
Metal detectors and armed guards? Really?
Come on Dave, that's a little bit of an over reaction.
More people were killed in shark attacks in the last decade than movie theaters, and people still go in the ocean.
Life has risks, we should live it and if we die, we die, but at least we lived.
The Grim Reaper remains undefeated, we can't let fear control our decisions and allow us to become prisoners to our fears, or worse over reaching police state tactics.
Hope you are well.
