I WONDER

Tantrum all better and forgotten on Championship Sunday!  "I'm never gonna watch the NFL ever, ever, ever again, you watch and see!" (Photo: Parenting.com)
Since Championship Sunday is one of the biggest sports days in America, I’m wondering about this. Will the same loud mouth patriots who believe that a different opinion has less integrity than their own put their money where their mouth is? Let me explain.
Back in September, President Trump made an issue about NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem. He railed against their peaceful protest. The lemmings followed suit and said that the NFL players who chose to do a protest didn’t love the flag, didn’t love America, didn’t deserve to have the skilled position they trained for all their lives and were not as “American” as those who attacked them.
We were treated to NFL fans who attacked every team who even remotely supported the peaceful protest. They loudly proclaimed, “I’m never gonna watch an NFL game ever, ever again!”
I wonder how many of those characters will have their asses parked in front of the TV today from 3 to 11pm watching in their words, “Those unpatriotic thugs who don’t love America, hate our military, and hate our flag?”
Wonder how many are watching with wing stained fingers and a 30 pack of Bud at arm’s length today?
For those who stuck to their guns,  you might want to check out  “Frozen In Love”, “Harvest Love”, “One Winter Weekend” and “Birthday Wish” is on Hallmark.  I bet none of the loudmouths will back up their usual bullshit.

STORMY DANIELS AND THE “CHRISTIANS”
Stormy Daniels, the "goods" and a smiling Donald Trump (Photo: celebuzz.com)
Don’t you love the fact that the Evangelicals are lining up to excuse the President’s behavior a year after being thrice married with a porn star? He hung with her while his wife was carrying his son. Now this is the guy who during the campaign had the stones to load the debate stage with Bill Clinton’s “friends” all the while paying hush money to his “actress” friend!  Hey, give Trump credit for balls of brass and using the leverage.
But what I will never understand is how “Christians” say it’s okay to forgive him but still can’t forgive a dreamer for having been born to illegal immigrants? Then there was the case of Franklin Graham (whose father, btw never became political) literally excusing and absolving Trump of this behavior saying that he should be forgiven!
That’s why these type of “Christians” I could never identify with. That’s why I will always identify myself as a Roman Catholic and not a Christian. I never want to be associated with that brand of hypocritical Christianity.
Pretty harsh you say?
Not one Christian leader, to my knowledge, has condemned Trump for this “stormy” choice.  The Evangelicals have sold their souls to their dear leader. And that leader is not "The Lord".

Trump is to the evangelicals as Bill Clinton was to the feminist - and it is all primarily about one issue abortion.

Bill Clinton could harass, cheat, assault and be an all around misogynist as long as he supported abortion rights.

Trump could harass, cheat, assault and be an all around misogynist as long as he opposes abortion rights.

It is often said politics is the art of compromise, when it is actually the disgrace of hypocrisy. They are all disgusting scumbags, but as long as they support one group's signature issue they will not only turn a blind eye, they will defend to the ends of the earth.

Much like Tanya Harding should have quit after nailing the triple axel in competition you should have quit after hitting triple thousand. Your both quickly went downhill after.
As far as you being Roman Catholic, I think the term for you is cafeteria catholic, but like those you insult about football, you pick and choose which part of doctrine you support.

Are you even aware of the drop in NFL ratings? I haven't seen or heard of anyone streaming the games.
So where did all those fans go? I don't know. Somewhere else, I guess.
It doesn't bother me where they go or what they watch or why.

So why are you so invested in trying to shame them for their choice? Can't they make that decision unmolested by people those who want to control their choices. Where does this behavior end?

Somewhere in this blog you used to tell people who complained about Corbett that there was an "off" knob on the radio - use it.
Now that people are using it, you complain that they're using it.

You also told us to go out and vote, like clockwork, every November. We did. You don't like the results so you start hammering us for who we put in office.
Me? I embrace the chaos because it reveals just how we are being fooled and it looks like things going to change.
BTW: I can't wait to see if Nancy Pelosi starts getting doggie deserts mailed to her complete with cherries. I may take my $1k and be the first.

IN RESPONSE

You have no idea what type of Catholic I am but I dare say you'd be very surprised.
See you in church.....if you do indeed go.

That Stormy girl is going to catch cold if she doesn't put on shirt with a front on it. For his part, Trump eventually will catch hell for his affair and cover-up. Hey, consent is a start, you know whutta mean?

Make America Horny Again is just a better slogan than Trump's, and you gotta believe the First Lady is watching the news. I wonder what will be the final straw for her? I'm guessing she already has all of the shoes she needs.

It will be a long time before I set foot w/i the confines of an institution that not only was aware of the molestation of young boys, not only helped cover it up, not only kept priests who molested young boys, but by those actions approved the molestation of those young boys. The hypocrisy of the catholic church not only rivals the hypocrisy of politicians, it far exceeds it..

IN RESPONSE

I knew you'd say that! You're one of those people who will take a major problem with an institution and pout.
You will decry the hypocrisy but never make an attempt to join the assembly of a church and speak against it.
There are countless number of good, dedicated priests who never crossed the line. But because of the transparency of the church as well as the media, that behavior has come to light.
Hey whatever you do in terms of religion is fine with me. You're the one who brought up my faith.
BUT don't tell me you believe in God and Jesus Christ is your savior and you'll be just fine.
Belief without commitment is a lot like putting on a uniform but not showing up for the lessons of the game.
By your logic, you'll never call a police station because there were a few corrupt cops.
So...................while I won't see you in church, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

What the blind never see is that it wasn't or isn't a few corrupt priests. It was and is an endemic problem to the hypocrisy of those that sell salvation.
Stay blind for your church is soulless destruction; from the crusades to the inquisition to the silence during the holocaust to stealing of innocence.
Please don't pray for me. I don't need prayers that require a few pierces of silver slipped into an envelope on Sundays to be answered. I don't need prayers from a religion that has a history of corruption that rots it to its core. I don't need prayers from a follower of a religion whose head cares more for the institution and less for the needs of those who it has destroyed.
How many popes committed murder to achieve their position? How many kept women? How many bore children? How many had children aborted? And then these bastards had the temerity to sell absolution.
You can try and use your catholic school indoctrination bullshit words on me, but my training in the catholic faith was and is much deeper than yours. My understanding of the true corruption of that which you worship and protect is not merely from what has been reported.
The sadness is that you staunch catholics who remain blind to what YOU have allowed to happen will keep your eyes tightly shut.
It isn't about the corruption of the few, it is about the corruption upon which the foundation has been built.
Jesus built his church upon the rock that was Peter, but man claimed Peter as the first pope, not the Father nor the Son made that claim.
Your lack of nuance of most politics is the same as it is about religion. You claimed someone had made a drive by comment a few posts ago, when your whole shtick is drive by. Even your tired ramblings about faith and commitment lacks depth.
Commitment to what? Commitment to corruption.
Even the current Vicar of Peter would rather defend one of his bishops than open the eyes of the world to the truth.
The church steals from the poorest, because it requires them to remain ignorant to the facts of what it has been built upon.
The lies, the betrayal, the deceit, the destruction of those who needed protection the most.
Defend it if you must, but please say no prayers for me, for the Son of God is not who hears your prayers, your prayers are deceitfully directed to the Son of Dawn. Your sin isn't the protection of your hollow church, it is lack of sight that your church is hollow .

IN RESPONSE

Your opinion, some might disagree. Why not share some of your nuances and depth and elevate us all. I'll even post it as a feature.

Even the current Vicar of Peter would rather defend one of his bishops than open the eyes of the world to the truth.

IN RESPONSE

My ife and I are trying to wrap our heads around whatever the hell Francis was trying to do. I cannot deny that this didn't help the rehabilitation work started by Benedict.

The church steals from the poorest, because it requires them to remain ignorant to the facts of what it has been built upon.

IN RESPONSE

Ever hear of Catholic Charities that has an 89% programming budget? How are they stealing from "the poor?"

Your sin isn't the protection of your hollow church, it is lack of sight that your church is hollow .

IN RESPONSE

No religion, no belief is hollow.
But that said, appreciate your thoughts.
Come and visit again.
