The LuLac Edition #4001, February 7th, 2019
Even though I sat this one out, (watched some great "Untouchables" reruns and to placate Mrs. LuLac, "The Kids Baking Championship") I did get the gist of what he Diaper Dan was yammering about.
Immigrants: Bad.
Wall: good.
New job numbers: All mine.
Pelosi: Bad.
Kim: Excellent!
Everything good: all me.
Bullies of kids with my last name: bad.
Bullies like me: I'm the best at everything!
Murders by illegals: in the millions.
Hate crimes against Jews, Muslims and minorities: crickets.
Roll out of guests: a lot. They all like me he says.
Democratic women in white: WTF, Holy Crap Tiffany has white on too. The damn Marla Maples!
Schumer: Bad.
Chih-nah: Good.
Why I can’t get shit done: Executive Time.
Why I won’t get shit done: fake investigations.
Who started those investigation? My Justice Department.
No they didn’t.
God Bless America and try the Veal at the Hotel down the street. We jacked up the prices because we deported the illegals I hired 5 years ago.
I really am having trouble understanding Newt Gingrich. Almost as much as Rudy Guiliani. Newt has told us he is a student of history and has opined many times on the historical aspects of government. Some have been topical and not inaccurate. But the recent comparison to Donald Trump’s work habits vs those of Winston Churchill are really out of line.
Newt attempted to defend President Donald Trump’s extensive “executive time” on Monday with a comparison to Britain’s wartime prime minister, Winston Churchill.
It did not go over well on Twitter.
Gingrich tweeted that “the distortions of the hate Trump movement are never more obvious than in the reaction to the President’s leaked schedule,” which Axios published over the weekend.
Trump’s day-to-day schedules for the past three months purportedly showed that more than 300 hours of his work time was unstructured.
“The ignorance of history of the current elites is pathetic,” Gingrich added, before invoking the late British leader. “Churchill slept late, worked late, took a nap every afternoon ( getting into his pajamas).”
Let me say this. The ignorance of Gingrich here is stunning. True Churchill had odd hours and was even caught strolling the White House in the buff after a hot bath but he was creative in trying to save his country from Nazi Germany. Churchill was a champion of Democracy while old Diaper Don seems to embrace totalitatiran leaders. If Churchill had been using “Executive Time” and kowtowing to foreign strongmen, Newt would be falling in line with the dictator of Europe. What Newt is doing in defending Trump, a man unlike Churchill unwilling to learn says more about Newt’s lack of knowledge and desperate attempt to justify anything Diaper Don does.
“An economic miracle is taking place in the United States — and the only thing that can stop it are foolish wars, politics or ridiculous partisan investigations,” Trump said. “If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn’t work that way.”
The memorable rhyme pleased some Republicans, but Democrats have recoiled at the suggestion that congressional oversight and legislation are mutually exclusive.
“It’s a ridiculous, insulting statement,” said Sen. Bob Casey, D-Penn. “It’s also dangerous.”
Republicans downplayed the comment as an expression of frustration rather than defiance.
“He understands Congress has legitimate oversight responsibilities but there’s a line between oversight and harassment,” said Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. (LuLac, Sinclair)

"This type of funding will help many people in our own communities who find themselves in need of housing,” said Rep. Cartwright, a member of the Appropriations Committee. “By helping people access housing and supportive services, we are giving them a chance to move toward productive, rewarding lives. I congratulate these organizations for their great work and am proud to support the programs that make this grant funding possible.”
