The LuLac Edition #4,157, November 6th, 2019
EDITOR'S NOTE: Throughout this campaign, Senator Robert Casey, Congressman Matt Cartwright, Senator John Yudichak and other party leaders urged Democrats to get out the vote. The County Council team went everywhere as a team and gave that same message. Evan though Republicans gained more voters in registration than the Democrats, the Dems had over 100,000 people registered. The GOP did a better job at turnout and straight party voting. The fact that turnout in Wilkes-Barre was low because of uncontested races, should not matter. Turnout made this happen. This has to be a cautionary tale for the Luzerne County Democrats that for next year, the GOP will be loaded for bear with President Trump hell bent on him carrying the county. When that happened Trump carried Pennsylvania. Again, turnout is the key and that made a difference here.
