UPDATE: THE PRESIDENT TESTS POSITIVE
COVID-19 AND THE PRESIDENT from Dr. Joe Leonardi
The President Of The United States, Donald Trump, has informed the nation, and the world, that he has tested positive for COVID-19. I admit to initially greeting this news with sad skepticism. My first thought was, “Is he telling the truth? Is this an elaborate ruse to claim to have contracted the disease, and then pop up near the election and claim that it wasn't that bad?” Or, “Is this a way to evade another debate debacle?”
Part of me is embarrassed to have had those thoughts, but because the man has told so many lies, it is difficult and sad for a first reaction not to be doubt. Yet, if the news is taken as accurate and on face value, there is other sadness. Sadness that the person who holds the title of President is afflicted. Sadness that his wife is also afflicted. Sadness that his youngest child is afflicted, not with the disease, but with the knowledge and concern and worry that his parents' lives may be in peril.
The reality is, they will receive the best care.
The reality is, they can quarantine without financial consequence.
The reality is, that even with the best care and security, they could succumb.
I wish no person harm. My prayers are with the First Family. For reasons of upbringing and military training, I feel compassion for a man who has never demonstrated any for others. However, mostly, I feel deep sympathy and empathy for the people who were in close proximity to the President. For those who trusted him to actually care for and about them. Because now, his willful lack of vigilance and respect, combined with his cruel, calculating ignorance and indifference, has possibly exposed them, and their families, to a potentially grave and fatal risk. Additionally, those people, those directly and indirectly under his charge, even if they escape contracting the virus -- they will never again be the same. For them, there will be many sleepless nights. And perhaps worse, on the rare evenings sleep does come -- they will be haunted by nightmares and terrors caused by a cold betrayal they could not have before imagined.
THE GREAT DEBATE, NOT
The first Presidential debate of 2020 was anything but that. President Donald Trump arrived as the thug pig President who had no facts, no plan, no knowledge to offer. His only goal was to disrupt the proceedings with his juvenile behavior. He told lie after lie, defamed Hunter Biden, spouted nonsense about his relationship with black voters and constantly interrupted Biden. Biden wa
s not fazed in the least but couldn’t even get his points in.
Naturally the Trumpanzees blamed Biden saying that he insulted the President when he spoke disparagingly under his breath. The sycophants can’t have it both ways. You can’t say your boy is tough as nails and Biden is weak when your guy gets his itty bitty feelings hurt when Biden calls him a clown.
That's why we call him Diaper Don. Always crying, always lying and full of crap! One of the best moments came when Biden asked Trump to share his health care plan. It has been four years and there is no plan. Biden did a smart thing by looking directly into the camera talking to America.
Trump looked desperate and weak. Plus, what the hell was that thing on the top of his head? The liars on Facebook have been saying Biden had a ear piece. Not true. It is sad and pathetic that one’s life is so barren that they need to build themselves up by believing the lies and the bullshit handed out by Diaper Don.
Then they came after the moderator who said he was picking on Trump. If anything Chris Wallace was giving Trump the benefit of the doubt. To me, Wallace, a Fox News host had an untenable position. I would have stood up and did one of two things:
A.
Stand up and confront
the thug pig and tell him he was violating his own agreement. If that didn’t
work, I’d have walked directly to Biden and turned my back on the thug pig
President. If he persisted, I’d have walked off the stage, asked the camera person to
follow me and did the debate without the thug pig. The bottom line here is that
like a spoiled ignorant out of control child, there has to be consequences. Hopefully
the debate commission will change the rules.Even today, Trump says he will not gree to a rule change. What a **ssy!
The
bottom line here is that the race has not changed. Trump is a thug to most who
saw it and Biden is senile who did nothing in 47 years. No one is budging.
CNN had an instant tracker and Biden won in all categories overwhelming. By 3 to 1. He even did well on the economy which heretofore has been Trump’s strong suit.
But, despite an unprecedented amount of real-world
upheaval — the COVID-19 pandemic, the resulting economic collapse, a racial
reckoning in the streets — the presidential race between Trump and Biden has
remained remarkably stable. Exactly one year ago, Biden was leading Trump by 7.6 percentage points. Today,
Biden is up by 7. If the election were held right
now, forecasters predict that Biden would win by 331 electoral votes.
This means that — with 35 days to go until Election Day and voters already beginning to cast ballots in many states — the onus Tuesday was on Trump to change a dynamic that has proven stubbornly resistant to even the most momentous news events.
If nothing else, you can say this about the president’s performance: He certainly tried.
Trump
arrived in Cleveland with a single-minded strategy. After years spent crafting
a caricature of Biden as an old, enfeebled man who can barely function without
the aid of teleprompters, earpieces or performance-enhancing drugs, Trump’s
goal Tuesday was to do or say whatever was necessary to trip Biden up and make
him lose his train of thought. The hope, it seemed, was that Biden’s rattled
missteps would be cut together for viral videos designed to advance that
narrative — hence the incessant interruptions. (LuLac, aol)
THOSE VOTES IN LUZERNE COUNTY
The thug pig President brought up the fact that 7 votes were messed with at the debate Tuesday night. He then proceeded to go on about massive fraud, ballots being thrown in rivers and the usual nonsense that he slings from his shit filled mouth. The botto line here is that Pennsylvanians will cast about 1.7 million votes. This is 7 that were caught because the election bureau reported it, it was investigated and dealt with. Again the Trumpanzees in the County will have you believe the election bureau is incompetent and crooked. IT IS NOT!!!!
Do not let this fool and Trump's ass kissers shake your confidence in this vote. This is all he has because he knows he is losing and once out of office will be indicted on various charges.
STATE ELECTION OFFICIALS SAY IT WASN'T FRAUD!!!!!
There have been protests in front of the Election bureau at Penn Place. The big mouth know it alls are now saying that "thousands of ballots will disappear". There are calls for the County Manager Dave Pedri to resign as well as the Election Director. The Vice Chair has been attacked for doing his job. All of this is fomented by a thug pig President who is trying to cast doubt on an election he is in.
News came yesterday that the State Election bureau has said there was no fraud but a mistake. From the Times Leader, here's what was reported.
HARRISBURG — It appears that an election worker’s decision to throw out nine military ballots in Wilkes-Barre amounted to a mistake and not “intentional fraud,” the state’s top elections official said Wednesday.
Workers in the elections office in Luzerne County are getting training on handling mailed-in military and overseas ballots, Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar said during an online news conference.
“The investigation is still going on, but from the initial reports we’ve been given, this was a bad error,” said Boockvar, a member of Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration. “This was not intentional fraud. So training, training, training.”
President Donald Trump has repeatedly brought up the nine ballots as what he calls evidence of election fraud in the past week, including two mentions during Tuesday night’s presidential debate.
The president first mentioned the ballots during a radio show appearance Thursday, hours before the Trump-nominated U.S. attorney in Harrisburg, Dave Freed, put out a news release about the investigation.
Jonathan Marks, the Pennsylvania deputy secretary for elections, said that in some cases, military and overseas ballots arrived in Luzerne County inside envelopes that do not clearly mark them as ballots.
The usual process when those types of ballots arrive is to immediately reseal them and store them securely with other mail-in and absentee ballots to await canvassing, he said.
"So it sounds like it was confusion,” Marks said.
The Department of State is working on training for Luzerne County elections workers on what to do when they find balloting material inside an unmarked envelope.
“That’s what needs to be tightened up,” Marks said.
The unidentified worker, who officials have said was fired as a result, did not consult with others in the elections office, Marks said.
Investigators have not explained who recovered the ballots, described by Freed as “discarded,” or the process by which two of them were resealed. Freed said the other seven were all cast for Trump.
Neither Freed nor the FBI has said whether criminal charges are possible, and it’s unclear whether those nine votes will be counted.
BOGNET STILL LYING ABOUT CARTWRIGHT
Congressional wannabee Jim Bognet is perpetuating his lie about Congressman Matt Cartwright. Bognet sent a mail piece to my house spouting the usual shit about Nancy Pelosi and Congresswoman Cortez. In the piece Bognet advises that Cartwright wants to defund the police. NOT TRUE!
But Bognet needs some knee pads as he genuflects in front of his Lord and Savior the thug pig President Donald Trump. Bognet has decided the endorsement of Trump will help him in this race. Bognet is terribly mistaken because what was left of his reputation will go down he tubes as he embraces the lies and the scum that he regards as a leader.
TRUMP, HIS DEBT AND HIS TAXES
I’ve been saying this for 5 years now. Take yourself, and two family members or friends. The three of you would have more cash on hand than this fraud of a businessman. He might be a billionaire on paper but has nothing on hand.

U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced that the Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center, Inc. (NEPIRC) will receive $140,234 and the Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) Alliance will receive $75,000 through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to support local businesses, jobs, and community investment.
Cartwright successfully fought to secure $175 million for the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) in fiscal year 2020.
“Both the Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center and the NEPA Alliance have been leaders in helping businesses throughout the region respond to challenges and adapt to changes brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding ensures they can continue to do this meaningful work as the crisis continues,” said Rep. Cartwright, a member of the House Appropriations Committee. “ARC grants have provided a lifeline to businesses and protected jobs across Northeastern Pennsylvania during this challenging time, which is why I have made providing robust funding for the commission a top priority.”
This Appalachian Regional Commission support will provide us with the resources our regional manufacturers need to recover from the financial, operational and employment impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic more quickly and comprehensively while also becoming better prepared for a similar economic disruption in the future. By providing small grants to manufacturers seeking to implement COVID-19 mitigation plans, this program will break down a significant barrier to small manufacturer engagement,” said Eric Joseph Esoda, President and CEO of NEPIRC. “We are thankful to our regional partners, such as the NEPA Alliance, our advisors within the PA Department of Community & Economic Development, the staff at ARC and our representatives in Washington, D.C. for once again acknowledging the importance of manufacturing to our community and the value of industrial careers to our region and Commonwealth.”
“NEPA Alliance is grateful for Congressman Cartwright’s support of new financing initiatives. This funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission will be used to seek the region’s first allocation of New Markets Tax Credits and to support the launch of an Angel Fund for new and early stage businesses. These initiatives will leverage private investments to create jobs and revitalize distressed communities improving all of Northeastern PA,” said Jeffrey Box, President & CEO of NEPA Alliance.
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center aims to mitigate the effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on area businesses. They will utilize funds in conjunction with $115,234 from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to serve 30 businesses and 7 communities, improve 20 businesses and 7 communities, create 80 jobs, and retain 400 jobs while leveraging $1 million in private investment, according to the ARC project announcement.
The NEPA Alliance’s project will serve 25 businesses and 40 communities, create 25 new jobs, and retain 100 jobs while leveraging $900,000 in private investment. The project seeks to close the capital gap that impedes businesses from accessing the investment dollars needed to start or expand their operations and invest in local communities, according to the ARC project announcement.
CASEY STATEMENT ON PRESIDENT TRUMP’S REFUSAL TO COMMIT TO PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER
U.S. Senator Bob Casey (Photo: LuLac archives)
U.S. Senator Bob Casey released the following statement on President Trump’s refusal to commit to peaceful transfer of power:
“The President’s refusal to commit to a peaceful transfer of power is deeply offensive to our Nation’s constitutional values. These comments should offend people in both parties, whether they support the President or not, because they are totally contrary to our founding document. And let me be clear: this is just as much about what the President did not say as what he did say. He should have forthrightly said, ‘of course I will ensure there is a peaceful transfer of power.’ Because every public official in the country, whether a city council member or the President, has a sworn duty to support this peaceful, democratic process.
This is what the authoritarianism looks like. To my Republican colleagues: the warning lights are blinking red. Now is the time to speak out and choose country over party. In the meantime, I hope that the President will come back and clean up his act because these comments create nothing but doubt and fear for the American people.”

The safe evacuation of everyone on Prinsendam "brought to a close one of the most dramatic air and sea rescues in modern times." With one month left before the November 4 U.S. presidential election, a survey of politicians and opinion pollsters in the 50 U.S. states was released, concluding that Republican presidential candidate Ronald Reagan had a clear lead in enough states to garner 314 electoral votes, far more than the 270 needed to win, and that the incumbent, Democrat and U.S. President Jimmy Carter would get only 136.
