1.       How bet ‘dem Braves!!!

 

Not a question but we’re right at point this month. The Braves prove that baseball is as unpredictable as the calendar months go by. The vaunted Dodgers and Giants were eliminated by a team that just hit .500 in mid-season. I’m not a fan of the chop but glad for a guy like Freddie Freeman and the manager who has been with the organization for years. Plus, even though I love Dusty Baker, the Astros really have paid no consequence as a franchise for cheating years ago.

 

2.       Thanksgiving on the way. Pumpkin pie or Apple?

 

C’mon Pumpkin with no additives like marshmallows, raisins, or cream. Straight forward pumpkin pie. 

 

3.        What are your thoughts on Joe Manchin’s idea that the Human Infrastructure bill should be means tested?

  I do not think it is an unreasonable idea.  The perception that illegals and non-deserving people get stuff for free will almost be eliminated. If it gets this damn thing passed, then let him have the means testing.

 

4.       What are your thoughts on Dr. Oz running for the Senate in Pennsylvania?

Well he has name recognition and the GOP has become the party of celebrity so he might clear out the entire GOP bench with those qualifications. I’d never vote for him though.

5.       So the GOP minority wants to strip Chairmanships from those 13 that voted for the Infrastructure bill. What do you think?

Punitive. Ignorant. Thuggish. Dumb politically. If I were an ad man for any of their opponents, I’d beat the message they voted NO into the ground.

6.       Are you still an Aaron Rodgers fan?

Uh…….NO. Not when you cost the team a game.They cold have easily beaten KC.

7.       Do you get the booster shot yet?

Not yet. But maybe next week.

8.       How about Taylor Swift teaming up with Starbucks?

That’s a natural partnership since the Coffee chain has rolled out its Season of Red. Plus I do like some of her songs.

9.       Best fried chicken sandwich?

Only eat them oncein a while but Popeye's with McDonald’s a very close second.

10.   Do you watch any baking shows on TV?

No.

11.   Okay, favorite part of the turkey for T-Day.

12.   What do you make of Brian Williams retiring?

40 years is a long run for anyone. I think he knew though it was time to go. This country has changed. Every night Williams and his guests try to make sense of a nation that used to intelligent, now it’s belligerent, a nation that was welcoming, now threatening, a nation that used to embrace science, now denounces it, a nation that used to respect experts, now follows the loudest and a nation that was trusting but now skeptical of just about everything. He’s most likely is thinking his life could be better than beating his head against the wall every night. I’ll miss him though.

13.   Since The Bake House closed, what’s the best bagel in town?

Wegman’s hands down.
