WRITE ON WEDNESDAY
This week we MUST show you the Shamrock Communications Editorial on the flights that landed at the Wilkes Barre Scranton Airport. The scrooge GOP people went nuts spouting their lies and shit about immigrants coming here infected with the CoVid virus. Danny Meuser said, “I want to know if these people were vaccinated or not!”
He of the party that has said CoVid was a lie and that people should not have their freedoms taken away by submitting to a vaccination. Funny that his party encourages shunning vaccines for their members, primarily white…but gets upset when they think brown babies and immigrants aren’t vaccinated. You tell me how that makes sense! It doesn’t because it’s GOP bullshit!
Anyway, here’s their fine piece.
AWAY IN A HANGAR, NO CRIB FOR A BED
What does Northeast Pennsylvania have to fear from undocumented minors landing at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport and boarding buses to join relatives or sponsors outside the region?
Some local leaders and anti-immigration zealots, sharing online video of the children and their chaperones deplaning at a private hangar on Christmas night, apparently believe these flights are a threat, or at least a political opportunity.
Former congressman and Republican gubernatorial candidate Lou Barletta, who has built a career on anti-immigrant innuendo, predictably raised concerns about criminal background checks and disease. Sdid U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Dallas. But after demanding “immediate answers” from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Meuser later conceded HHS requires vaccinations, COVID tests and background screenings before transport
For all the hubbub over these flights, no one has been able to explain the injury to local residents if several hundred undoubtedly frightened and bewildered children spend a half hour on an isolated tarmac moving from a plane to a chartered bus that will take them far away.
And what would be the danger if some of these unfortunate children were to stay in our region either with families or in facilities?
During a season ostensibly dedicated to charity and goodwill, celebrating the birth of a babe in a stable far from home, it is sad and disheartening to hear some of our neighbors say: “There is no room at the inn.”

Wasn't this really spurred on by WILK's midday real convicted criminal?
They aren't afraid of COVID, but afraid the brown will rub off on them.
