1.       With the election a month out who will prevail?

In the state it looks good for Shapiro and to some extent Fetternan. Locally I see a good turnout for the Dems that will help Haddock,,Malarcari,,and Pashinski in state rep races and Flynn in the 22nd senatorial.

 

2.       What do you think of the move to 9pm on  CNN for Jake Tapper?

 

I think it’s a good one for him and the network. He is on point and asks the tough questions.  He’ll be good!

 

    3.  What is your opinion of all these “journalists,” including the revered Bob Woodward, who withheld important information about Donald Trump, some for years, to include in post-presidency books instead of reporting the details in real time?

I really have a problem with it. News people are hired to tell a story. It’s been that year for centuries. I liken it to the apostles in The Bible holding back information on Pontius Pilate until they got a book deal. Okay, that isn’t as farfetched as you think. All of them, including the sainted Woodward have become victims of greed, the 24/7 news cycle as well as the thirst for fame. Their responsibility is to tell the story, the whole story. Not bits and pieces. But book publishers want to have the hottest item out. It’s  double edged sword too because once the “new”  news is gobbled up so fast the book sales take a dive. 

 

4.       How was that Josh Shapiro event Sunday?

Really good for thr Luzerne Democratic party. About 300 people there, gret speeches by Shapiro, Casey, Cartwright and Pashinski. The Dems are fired up and ready to do the hard work. If only the ingrates in the county realize that the Republicans fought all the stuff we have here.

5.       Happy about the Guardians making the playoffs, surprised?

As a Cleveland fan, well I’m always cautious. But 17 of the players are brand new and Terry Francona is a good manager. We’ll see.

 

6.       Are you surprised that Luzerne County manage Randy Robertson is getting criticized by the Board of Council people?

Not at all. Many of them have no clue how government runs and I guarantee Robertson will hightail it out  of town by St. Patrick’s s Day 2023 for another job with a lesser number of numbskulls to deal with.

 

7.       What are your thoughts on the “My Pillow Guy?”

I have none.  

 

8.       Favorite fall food?

 

A nice crisp apple and donuts from Brace’s Orchards.Everything is full of pumpkin it seems but I love pumpkin pie....straight. No accoutrements.

 

9  Hey is there such a thing as pierogie soup?

 

There is but I’m going to try my own version of it and will post it next  month on 13Q.

 

9.       Will you be on the radio again for the 2022 election?

Yes on Sunday November 6^th with Jim Riley on “The River”.

 

10.   Why do people like Donald Trump after all he’s done?

 

I believe there is an element in America  that is lost.  We just have to write them off and will sadly be entering a dangerous place, a divided country for decades. 

 

11.   Do you think it’s overkill for Alex Jones to be told he must pay nearly a billion dollars for his claims about the Sandy Hook children?

Alex Jones is a pig. He deserves to live in squalor. 

 

12.     Favorite new TV show?

Haven’t had time to see one yet.
