1.       I can’t believe there are people who think January 6^th was a hoax. Is the media making that up?

No. There is a sizeable population that thinks this was a TV show. I counter with "why would a Capitol policeman DIE for a TV show? A few did. Here's a sample from my message feed from a cult member:

2.       Will Nikki Haley be the nominee if Trump falters?

I can’t see that happening for two reasons. The first is I find it hard to believe that in the state the GOP is in today, accepting a woman is no in the cards. The second reason is that the cult of Trump has made it impossible for any candidate to break through. 

 

3.       Your favorite Christmas cookie?

I love all of them especially the Italian pepper cookies. 

 

4.       What are your thoughts on the NFL season so far?

I really think the season this year is like a roller coaster. The Dallas Cowboys seem to be the most consistent team of all of them. But from the injury of Aaron Rodgers in game 1 to the play with Travis Kelcie the other day., the NFL has been a plethora of surprises and developments worthy of discussions.

 

5.       It looks like the GOP is going to impeach President Biden. WTF?

 

WTF indeed! There is no credible evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors.  Plus, the chairman of the probe, James Comer is really a Wack job. His latest take on the issue is that Hunter Biden’s recent indictments were part of a cover up so the President’s son wouldn’t have to testify to the Oversight committee. Yet the younger Biden volunteered to do so. In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Tapper had to stifle a laugh when Comer brought this all up.

 

6.       George Santos has a new gig. Are you going to get one of those personal messages for Christmas?

 

7.       I hope not. I did get a good one from Josh Gates the explorer on Cable TV for my birthday.

 

8.       As you age what is the most frustrating part of it for you?

 I can deal with the big issues but the little things like arthritis in the hands and length of time to do things is a pain for me.

 

9.       Do you listen to Christmas music and if so what kind?

All of it. In the office I have QFM 92.1 on from Scranton.  They feature local schools and churches choirs which is nice. Another one I tune into at home is the LCCC Radio station at 89.1. They have a mix of rock and traditional.  Then there's Magic 93 the station that pioneered that on the FM. Years ago I used to do Christmas CDs but don't anymore. 

10.   What group will the Republican party try to suppress next?

The youth. The Dems have a 21 point advantage over the GOP and look for them to try and stop young engagement. at least 15 states have introduced or enacted legislation that would make it harder — or even illegal — for students to use their college ID to vote in elections.

 

11.   People have said Trump was kidding when he said he would be a dictator on Day 1. Are they correct?

No. He has expressed an appetite for power. Even the GOP who used to want to get government out of our lives agrees. Under the Republican’s preferred approach, he would seize control of government departments and agencies that have historically operated with independence, enact radical anti-immigration plans, use government powers to crack down on journalists, and hire right-wing lawyers who will be positioned to help Trump politicize federal law enforcement and exact revenge against his perceived political foes.

 

12.   Are you still behind Biden?

Now more than ever. 

 

13.   What do you want for Christmas?

Good health for everyone I know. Apart from family, that’s the best gift ever.
