At the start of the year, after the resignation of Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the Conservative party in Canada was on was way to gaining a majority and having a new regime
Canadians felt the liberals failed them with higher prices in housing, medical care and food.
Then Donald Trump, our pig President started calling Canada HIS 51st state. That didn ‘t set well with Canada. It set into the fabric of the nation three things.
1. Booing our national anthem.
2. Cancelling travel to the States for conferences, tourism and commerce. Canadians who had snowbird homes in Florida started to sell them. Pennsylvania was impacted because we always were considered a half way point to Florida.
3. Canadian media started to advise citizens to be friendly with Americans individually but collectively reject the Trump effect. The slogan “elbows up” became a mantra.
Overnight the liberal party was reinvigorated because of this 51st state nonsense. Buy Canada is now a reality.
Canada's Liberal Party won Monday's federal election, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation projected, in a surprising turnaround in an election that became overshadowed by U.S. President Trump.
Canadians were deciding whether to continue the Liberal Party's hold on power by picking new Prime Minister Mark Carney or transfer control to the Conservatives and their populist leader Pierre Poilievre. While the Liberals are projected to win more seats in Parliament than the Conservatives, it was not immediately clear if Carney's party would win an outright majority, the CBC noted Monday night.
The Liberal Party's popularity had been declining for years, eventually leading to former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's resignation in March. It appeared for months the Conservatives were set to take control of the federal government, until the U.S. president stepped in.
Mr. Trump's threat to annex Canada and his sweeping tariffs, which undermine the country's economy, dominated the campaign and influenced voters' choices. Additionally, domestic issues such as affordability, immigration, jobs and crime remained significant factors.
According to Elections Canada, a record number of estimated 7.3 million Canadians cast their votes in advance voting, a 25% increase compared to the 2021 elections.

On Monday, Mr. Trump once again injected himself into the election campaign. In a post on Truth Social, he repeated his idea of making Canada the 51st U.S. state and called on Canadian voters to vote for the person who could make his wish possible — without naming the political party.
Apparently Canadian voters REJECTED out of hand Donald Trump. Too bad America didn’t do that before. My Canadian friends in the media wonder why, we as a nation, their big brother could be so stupid, not once but twice.

WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS’ DINNER TAKES A KNEE FOR TRUMP
The 2025 White House correspondents’ dinner proved that even they capitulated to the President who did not attend. They shelved the schooled comedian for fear that she would make people “uncomfortable” with her humor.
In the past when the President in his first term wasn’t there, they had satirical hosts. But not now. And the awards were far from balanced. Rachael Scott from ABC who covered the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. That was for breaking news.
Then they gave what appeared to be an olive branch to the Biden administration with a photo award of him. Then Axios was given an award for the decline of Joe Biden in the White House toward the end of his term.
The awardee then gave a maudlin mea culpa about how the press should do better. This self-immolation was a bow to Trump and his lackeys. The event was covered by C-SPAN and MSNBC and was a colossal waste of time and broadcast waves.
PROTESTING AND ANTI PROTESTING
The good people at Action Together have been organizing protests in Luzerne and Lackawanna County. They were peaceful, informative and had a semblance of dignity. But it was only a matter of time before the MAGA Republicans did a counter protest.
In my opinion that’s fine. But the MAGAs, thugs as usual tried to block out the Action Together protest with loud music and bullhorns. They had no argument, just noise and ignorance.
Not everyone protests, so here’s all you need to know.
The other MAGA spokesperson who WAS NOT the head of the Luzerne County Republican party, Eugene Ziemba but T. J. Fitzherald who is like his lord and savior Donald Trump
