DEMS TAKE FIRST STEP, OVER A CLIFF? 

 

First off, I’m all for trying to come to a compromise with the GOP on the shutdown. But the timing on this is really premature in strategy. I am not for SNAP benefits being denied deserving people. Nor do I want people working without pay. But this move to me was a total capitulation that seems to me a fool’s errand. Here’s why.

1.       This is the fifth time the Democrats have bailed our Republican bad behavior or policies. Three times under Kevin McCarthy and twice under Rogers.

2.       They did it without the knowledge of Senate leadership which would have been unthinkable with the GOP.

3.       They abandoned their main goal which was to expand their tax credits for the Affordable  Care Act.

4.       Did they NOT hear that the Senate Majority  Leader  Thune the goon rejected out of hand even a one year extension?

5.       The GOP has tried to get rid of the ACA 70 times. Do they think they’re going to stop now?

6.        As far as SNAP goes they completely under cut the messages of Dem governors who went out on their own to feed people.

7.       Plus they are doing this on a promise. From whom? People who have reneged on their constituents. People who work with another legislative branch that rescinded money that was already allocated? Seriously? You’re working on a fucking promise from these black hearted bastards?

8.       Finally, the most sickening thing. YOU WON”T GET ANY CREDIT from this Republican party or the people.

You quit too soon. In the short run you eased the pain of people but in the log run they’ll forget and move on to something else.

9.       You have failed to realize that you are not fighting the politicians  are not those of twenty years ago. They are not evil but follow and evil man. Your judgement is disappointing and breathtakingly stupid.

 Now all that said, here's where we as Democrats still stand with you. When you get screwed, and I know you will, when the GOP does nothing for the people, you need ton fight. In the campaign of 2026, fight to crush them. We know who you are, reasonable people fighting evil people.
