THE MADMAN AT DAVOS
In a rambling speech President Trump was harshly critical of world leaders this morning in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, saying European countries are "not headed in the right direction" because of their immigration policies and expressing doubt about NATO's willingness to defend the U.S. despite years of American support.
Trump was so ungraceful in his presentation that was embarrassing to have him represent us. First off, his hard on for Biden continues. Deep in his black heart he knows that Biden (even with his warts) is more regarded better than his sorry ass. At least 10 times he talked about what a horrible President Biden was when in fact Biden gave him a decent economy. (Except for inflation caused by Co Vid).
Then he said the 2020 election was stolen. AGAIN? He displayed his pique in front of world leaders who know better. The leaders sitting there heard a baby man demonstrate his fucked-up grip on reality. Imagine an Eisenhower or a Clinton doing that.
Trump lied about how INFLATION HAS BEEN DEFEATED.
Trump lied about $1.99 GAS PRICES.
Trump lied about HIGH INCOME LVELS IN THE U.S.A.
Trump lied about HOW MUCH PEOPLE LOVE HIM.
Then there was Greenland. He said in remarks that he won't use force to seize Greenland but added that the U.S. would be “unstoppable” if it did. The president also called for "immediate" negotiations on his proposal that the U.S. acquire the Danish territory. Leading up to his remarks, the president doubled down on his threats to take over the territory. But don’t rule it out because the only reason why he said that was because the stock market tanked.
KNOW THIS! Trump is a BULLY. Only a pig bully like him would use monumental military force to overrun a country of 56,000 residents.
Trump's insistence on seizing the semi-autonomous Danish territory has stunned longtime U.S. allies, who are scrambling to respond. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney warned the world was "in the midst of a rupture."
Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada is "concerned" about U.S. President Donald Trump's threat to impose increasing tariffs on several European countries until they accede to his demand to purchase and control Greenland.
"We're concerned about this escalation," Carney told reporters at a press conference in Doha, Qatar on Sunday morning. "We always will support sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries wherever their geographic location is."
"Decisions about the future of Greenland are for Greenland and Denmark to decide."
Trump said on social media that Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland would face a 10 per cent tariff. The rate would rise to 25 per cent on June 1 if the U.S. does not reach a deal to buy the semiautonomous island.
The countries named by Trump have backed Denmark, warning that the U.S. military seizure of a territory in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) could collapse the military alliance that Washington leads.
Trump called out Carney as an enemy in the speech to the assembly where there were audible gasps. This group of leaders suspected that Trump’s Madman act was just that: AN ACT. But I reality he is a petulant Madman who will leave the United States isolated.
After his speech, Trump was greeted with tepid applause. No wonder. Trump’s damage to the United State’s foreign policy recommendations will last for generations. Paid terrorists couldn’t do as much damage as he has done in his year of retribution, grievance and ignorance.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Later on the President said he would work on a fair solution with Denmark. The child President had his tantrum and now asks mommy and daddy if he’s still a good little boy. There is now "an outline" for a plan on Greenland, just as there was "an outline" for Ukraine, Health Care and Gaza.
TRUMP’S STRING OF
BROKEN PROMISES IN ’25
The first anniversary of President Trump’s second term marks a year of broken promises, personal vendettas and failed policies. The nexus of Trump’s malpractice on so many fronts is his failure to fix the economy.
Trump continues to lie about the price of goods, continues to push these insane tariffs policy and now has told bold faced lies about the actions of his ICE thugs. He claims he ended 8 wars but has done NOTHING to end the killing in Ukraine.
He promised many times during the 2024 presidential campaign to bring prices down on the first day of his second term. The cost of living increased by an annualized 2.7 percent last month. His failure to honor his pledge has cost him the trust of Americans as they find it harder to feed their families and pay for the insurance which preserves their health and wellbeing.
A study by the Center for American Progress reveals that Trump’s political base of Americans with low education levels have been hit especially hard by his malfeasance. Vulnerable Republican congressional candidates and the Republican nominee for president in 2028 will be the ones to suffer for their dear leader’s failure to capitalize on his in 2024 gains.
The biggest Trump problem is his misplaced policy priorities. He also promised to put America first. Instead of fixing the economy at home, he has focused like a laser beam on his imperial ambitions abroad. The proof is his obsession with Greenland, which belongs to our NATO ally Denmark. He has promised to conquer it by any means necessary and won’t even rule out an invasion.
Our European allies have rebuffed his drive to take over the island. Some even sent ships and soldiers to resist a Trump invasion. In a fit of pique, he took his vengeance on Americans by raising tariffs on goods imported for from those nations. This tax will ultimately pass costs on to consumers. U.S. citizens will pay a heavy price for his outsized foreign misadventures.
Trump has shortchanged his own base but they are so deluded they don’t care. We’re coming up on year 2 and you can bet it isn’t going to get any better. (The Hill, LuLac)
STACEY GERITTY’S BIG EXCUSE
How do you like Stacy Gerritty’s back pedal on a statement she made at a Trump raly that Trump won the 2020 election. At a 2022 rally alongside Donald Trump for then-U.S. Senate candidate Mehmet Oz, Garrity said she believed Trump beat Joe Biden.
“We know that he won” in 2020, Garrity said onstage in Greensburg.
Trump in fact lost to Democrat Joe Biden that year. And at a Harrisburg press event on Monday, Garrity told reporters that her statement to the contrary was the result of a high-energy political rally.
“Just to be clear, that was at a Trump rally and those are kind of fun things,” Garrity said. “So it's easy to get caught up at a Trump rally. But I have to tell you that after the 2020 election, I know Joe Biden was the president — painfully aware of it — and I said his name hundreds and hundreds of times in speeches that I gave as the treasurer.”
Okay but how can we rust an impulsive person who works I a serious government or and classifies a rally as “fun”. I’m confused. Do you lie over fun? Or do you just suck up to the guy who holds your fate in his hands? What would you say as a Governor if yowere at a “fun” rally where you willingly lies?
It is not the first time that Garrity has distanced herself from earlier statements she has made questioning the 2020 election. In 2024, her campaign sought to head off criticism of her appearance at a Jan. 5, 2021 rally at the state Capitol, where she said the November 2020 election “was tarnished forever.”
Gerrity is also using the same playbook against Governor Shapiro by trying to box him in on whether or not he will serve a full term. That hasn’t worked in every election he won and I doubt with his record of accomplishments it won’t work again.
Look for Gerrity to ramp up the GOP LIE machine to try to buffalo the good folks of Pennsylvania.

BRESNEHAN LEADS FIX TO CLOSE PAY GAP FOR FEDERAL CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS
Congressman Rob Bresnehan (Photo: LuLac archives)
U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) announced he, alongside Rep. Dan Goldman (NY-10), introduced the Federal Correctional Officer Paycheck Protection Act. This bipartisan legislation would bring pay for federal correctional officers in line with other federal law enforcement agencies, strengthening recruitment and retention to address the chromic and severe staffing shortages inside federal prisons.
“Our correctional officers, like those at USP Canaan, have been asked to do more with less for far too long, and it’s not sustainable,” said Rep. Bresnahan. “This legislation provides a long-term fix that will help bring in new officers, keep experienced staff on the job, and cut the reliance on mandatory overtime, making our prisons safer for everyone.”
Federal correctional officers are facing unfilled vacancies, excessive mandatory overtime, and pay that falls far behind other federal law enforcement agencies. This strains workforce morale, disrupts inmate programming, and creates unsafe conditions inside Bureau of Prisons facilities.
The Federal Correctional Officer Paycheck Protection Act directly addresses these chronic issues by establishing a nationwide special pay rate to deliver a 35 percent base pay increase for federal correctional officers, with ongoing oversight to ensure it reduces staffing shortages and excessive overtime. By strengthening recruitment and retention, the legislation will allow facilities to restore essential programs, reduce lockdowns, and improve overall institutional safety.
This bill is supported by the AFGE CPL-33 Local 3003 and the AFGE Council of Prison Locals 33.
“On behalf of the 30,000 federal correctional officers who serve this country inside the most dangerous places in America, I want to thank Congressman Rob Bresnahan for his leadership on the Federal Correctional Officer Paycheck Protection Act,” said David J. Demas, President AFGE Local 3003 – Council of Prison Locals 33. “Your commitment to fair compensation, staffing stability, and officer safety is a vital step toward correcting long-standing inequities in federal law enforcement pay. We appreciate your continued support for the men and women who serve and protect.”
PA-08 is home to USP Canaan, located in Wayne County, one of the most dangerous maximum-security prisons on the East Coast.
This bill builds on Rep. Bresnahan’s work to support correctional officers and improve staffing at facilities like USP Canaan through proven, bipartisan solutions. These efforts include: Restoring their collective bargaining rights

GOVERNOR SHAPIRO, SECRETARY DAVIS-JONES, AND SECRETARY BOGEN HOLD ROUNDTABLE TO HIGHLIGHT WORK TO BRING FATAL OVERDOSES TO LOWEST IN TEN YEARS, SUPPORT FAMILIES STRUGGLING WITH SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER
Governor Josh Shapiro will join Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Secretary Dr. Latika Davis-Jones and Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Dr. Debra Bogen at the Wyoming County Emergency Management Agency for a roundtable discussion on efforts to save lives, prevent fatal overdoses, and support families struggling with substance use disorder following the Shapiro Administrations release of its Overdose Prevention Program Annual Report.
Governor Josh Shapiro, alongside Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Secretary Dr. Latika Davis-Jones and Health (DOH) Secretary Dr. Debra Bogen, visited the Wyoming County Emergency Management Agency to lead a roundtable discussion on efforts to save lives, prevent fatal overdoses, and support families struggling with substance use disorder. The visit followed the release of the Shapiro Administration's Overdose Prevention Program Annual Report, which details significant progress in reducing overdose deaths across Pennsylvania.
Between October 2024 and September 2025, frontline organizations reported over 11,400 overdose reversalslinked to naloxone distributed through the Administration's initiative - representing thousands of lives saved through timely intervention. Early estimates show that in 2025, Pennsylvania saw the fewest overdose deaths in more than a decade.
"Every life saved is a reminder that a smart, compassionate, multidisciplinary response to the opioid crisis works," said Governor Shapiro. "Since day one, my Administration has invested in proven, life-saving tools - getting naloxone into communities, expanding access to treatment, and meeting people where they are. The results are clear: overdose deaths are down, thousands of Pennsylvanians are alive today, and more families have hope. We will keep doing this work until every Pennsylvanian - no matter their zip code - has access to the care and support they deserve."

LYNDON JOHNSON DIES
January 1973
Lyndon Johnson, the 36th President of the United States died on January 22nd, 53 years ago. LBJ succeeded John Kennedy as President, passed landmark legislation, was involved in a controversial war and was vilified at the end of his term. But history was kind to Johnson and his Presidency for his legislative achievements that made people’s lives more affordable.
During his political career Johnson had a number of heart attacks. Prior to his death Johnson seemed to embrace his legacy, warts and all, including his health.
Johnson recorded an hour-long television interview with newsman Walter Cronkite at his ranch on January 12, 1973, in which he discussed his legacy, particularly about the civil rights movement. He was still smoking heavily, and told Cronkite that it was better for his heart "to smoke than to be nervous".
At approximately 3:50 P. Central on January 22, 1973, Johnson suffered his final heart attack in his bedroom. He managed to telephone the Secret Service agents on the ranch, who found him still holding the telephone receiver, unconscious and "appear[ing] to be dead". They attempted resuscitation, and Johnson was airlifted in one of his planes to San Antonio International Airport, en route to Brooke Army Medical Center. However, cardiologist and Army colonel George McGranahan pronounced him dead on arrival at the airport at 4:33 P.M. Johnson was 64.
Shortly after the former president was pronounced dead, Johnson's press secretary Tom Johnson (no relation) telephoned Cronkite to tell him. Cronkite was anchoring CBS Evening News live at the moment Johnson reached him, which enabled him to report on President Johnson's death as he received direct information.[366] Nixon mentioned Johnson's death in a speech he gave the day after Johnson died, announcing the peace agreement to end the Vietnam War and the number one song in LuLac land and America was Johnson recorded an hour-long television interview with newsman Walter Cronkite at his ranch on January 12, 1973, in which he discussed his legacy, particularly about the civil rights movement.
