GOP COWARDLY LIONS VS. THE REAL DEALS

LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS CANCELS LEGISLATIVE BREAKFAST!

Here’s what I received last week as a member of the Wilkes-Barre League of Women Voters.

Subject: Cancellation of Legislative Brunch

Regretfully we are canceling the Legislative Brunch scheduled for February 21st.  Similar to last year Representative Haddock and Representative Pashinski were the only Legislators planning to attend. While they both did a superb job last year, we felt their time could be better spent with other responsibilities or just enjoying a Saturday off!

Perhaps, in the future, we can again host a bi-partisan Brunch.  For those who have already made a reservation, if you mailed a check, we will void the check. If you reserved through PayPal, we will refund your payment.

Thank you to those who planned to join us!

Okay, a few things here. The Wilkes-Barre League of Women Voters is a bipartisan organization. For years they have offered candidates the opportunity to state their case. It’s what their mission is.

And candidates of all stripes being self serving take advantage of the opportunity. Free airtime, free exposure. And to be very honest, non controversial questions. Love the League leadership, but they don’t do a damn thing to EVER rock the boat. If the devil was running for office, and there were two questions from the audience, the League would go with the less controversial.

Question 1: Ah Mr. Devil, how exactly did you get to hell and what horrific steps in your life got you there?

Question 2: Ah Mr. Devil. Has climate change on earth affected the heat down in hell and do you propose to partner with other entries to deal with that issue?

You bet it would be number 2.

The League does stay above the fray. They don’t want to put their thumb on the scale in any election. Especially in this time of lying, crying Republicans looking for an unprovoked fight.

I get it.

But let’s look at the facts.

1.       Republican candidates USE non profits like the League and Public media to promote their races. Meuser and Bresnehan are great examples. Rob cut  funding for pubic media then asked for a tour of their station. That’s balls.

2.       The invites were extended to ALL state Representatives. Only Haddock and Pashinski showed up last year. The excuse from the GOP last year, Pugh, Ryncavage, Walsh was……..uh busy. Other commitments.

3.       This year it was the same thing. I don’t blame Eddie and Jim for not showing up because their fellow Republican cowards can’t or won’t defend their policies. I mean this is a public event and God forbid if they get called out on something.

The Executive board of The League can’t say this but I will.

This calculated declining of an invitation as ELECTED representatives from  duly elected voters is a slap in the face to The League but a guy punch to the people they serve.

And when these lying son of a bitches (see, the League would NEVER say this) tell you that the volunteer organization, ALL OF THEM lean left, it’s a lie.

The definition of the word coward is a person who is contemptibly lacking in the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things.

Pugh, Ryncavage, Walsh  are holding contempt for their positions and constituents.

Pugh, Rycavahge and Walsh are not going to endure danger and unpleasant behavior from The League.

Pugh, Rycnavage and Walsh, all extroverts all of sudden decide not to face the League?

 THIS IS THEIR JOB.

It is a deliberate decision to avoid scrutiny.  Funny how wanna be candidates who are elected to serve the people decide, once in office think the people should serve them.

Finally, this. If any the local Republicans ever accuse me of being left leaning and a liberal, remember this.

1.       I believe in the death penalty including having family members pull the switch on the convicted killer.

2.       You don’t want to know my punishment views on vandalism.

3.       If a child is killed by a parent, life in prison.

As far the The League goes with future debates with these three running for re-election in the primary or fall, end the practice of written questions and let’s see if these cowards show up or answer a straight question from the floor. There is nothing in the by laws that I saw that the League can't hold a town hall.

Finally THIS. All three are in safe districts and their likely Democratic opponents  will have a huge hill to climb.  The League won't say this but I will. Send them a message with your vote.

NO TIME

Walsh

Pugh

Ryncavagage
