GREAT
GRAPE SODA
It is a special treat and by that I mean not everyone loves grape soda. But there are 5 contenders that line up pretty well. They are:
It starts with a burst of almost cotton candy sweetness and then evolves into a bright, nostalgic grape flavor that reminds me almost exactly of grape Bubblicious. We’ve tried a lot of Shasta flavors and I think this is the first one to take the first place spot in a ranking—it’s that good!
Grape Crush tastes exactly the way you expect an ice cold can of grape soda from a soda machine to taste. It reminds me of being a kid and asking my parents for a quarter (yeah, I’m old) so I could get a can of soda before going into Walmart or whatever. The grape flavor is very Dimetapp adjacent, and I think that’s what a lot of people want in their grape soda.
Olipop Classic Grape has a classic concord grape juice flavor. It’s very, very sweet and definitely tastes like the blend of alternative sweeteners, which is a real doozy of a list, but it works pretty well with the flavor of the grape juice. This is the best grape soda if you’re looking for a healthier option—it’s way lower in sugar than the other sodas on this list and it contains prebiotics, if you want more help for your innards.
Fanta grape can be found in places like Perkins and Wendy’s. Plus, you’ll also find some great Diet versions there. (Sporked, LuLac)
DAIRY QUEEN’S
NEW FLAVORS
Cotton Candy
DQ’s soft serve is mixed with cotton candy sprinkles and dumped into a cup for everyone to enjoy. This one’s been a fan favorite for a while, and judging by how pleased people are in test markets.
S’Mores
DQ’s S’Mores Blizzard also returns to its restaurants, and while it may not be getting the same rapturous response as the Cotton Candy, people are still pretty jazzed about it. We can see why: This Blizzard combines vanilla soft serve with graham crackers and marshmallow-filled chocolate bars.
Angel Food Cake (NEW!)
New Flavor Alert! DQ’s Angel Food Cake option is going to be very popular. This Blizzy mixes soft serve with strawberries and pieces of angel food cake, and finishes it with a burst of whipped topping. Perfect for those hot summer months. It’s a strawberry shortcake in a cup.
BURGER KING
DETHRONES
THE KING
Burger King's new commercial, titled "There's a New King and It's You," aired during the Oscars and marks a significant shift in the brand's marketing strategy. The ad, narrated by President Tom Curtis, acknowledges the brand's past mistakes and the decline in quality and service. It officially "fires" the King mascot and positions the customer as the new king of the brand. The campaign is part of Burger King's "Reclaim the Flame" plan, which aims to modernize operations and improve the Whopper based on customer feedback. The ad is a bold declaration of the brand's commitment to listening to its guests and making positive changes to enhance the Whopper experience.
I always liked Burger King Whoppers but have switched to the Junior ones. The flavor combinations were always good, the new advertising is nostalgic but centered om a rebirth of the company culture. Plus it gets rid of that creepy King.
