YOU'RE MY SOUL AND INSPIRATION

The Righteous Brothers scored with this huge hit. Billy Medly and Bpbby Hatfield  made this a number one ballad to dance too. The blending of vocals plus great production not only made this a hit that year in '66 but an all time classic.

LIGHTNING STRIKES

This song overtook the country in the winter of '66. Christie had a few minor hits before with his falsetto voice "Outside the Gates of Heaven" and "A Fool Such As I". But this hit blended his high voice as well as his deep voice harmony. Christoe died a few years back but his hits of the 1960s made him a mainstay on the pop music scene for years.

CRY

Ronnie Dove scored a huge hit with this in 1966. This remake of a Johnnie Ray ballet had way better instrumentation and was accented by Dove's more level voice. Dove appeared in the area for a cancer telethon at WYLN   and I felt was one of the best valladeers of his time. He passed away at the age o 91.
