MAYBE I’M AMAZED

Maybe I’m Amazed…..that a high school yearbook would list George W. Bush and Dick Cheney as part of the top 5 of the worst people of all time. They are right up there with Hitler, Bin Laden and Manson. Now ‘Dolf was crazy as the proverbial crap house rat and Manson and the robed one were just cowards who let other people do their dirty work for them. Bush and Cheney led the war on terror after we were attacked. To include them in the vein as Bin Laden is ridiculous. What happened to filters? What happened to advisers? I shouldn’t be surprised because this is the same generation raised to think that everything they say and do is quite the wondrous thing and that their crap is ice cream. No filter, no mentoring equals stuff like this. I’m not the biggest fan of George W. or Cheney but to say they are evil in terms of their commitment to this nation is naive at best and treasonous at worst.
Maybe I’m Amazed……that the third most dangerous job in New York City (behind the police and fire departments) is that of a hotel chamber maid. Another foreign dignitary that has a swollen sense of entitlement attacked another hotel worker thinking she was part of his pleasure agenda. If I ran the hotels, I’d arm the women with sharp knives and pepper spray. Just goes to show you that the rich and titled from foreign lands can be just as thuggish as gang bangers. As a matter of fact, they give gang bangers a bad name.
Maybe I’m Amazed……that Sarah Palin’s bus tour had no itinerary. She’s a no holds barred kind of gal and just takes herself where the wild wind blows.
Maybe I’m Amazed……that recently there was a guy in Wilkes Barre who reportedly paid $500.00 to a hooker he met at an AA meeting. I’m equally amazed that he was amazed that this action upset his wife. This came over the Crime Watch FaceBook listings the other day. If hookers are getting half a grand in Wilkes Barre these days we are in an inflationary period like no other.
Maybe I’m Amazed…….that the Senate Republicans in the state want to pry loose some of the increased revenue to restore funding cuts to education. These were the guys screaming “no no no” to Ed Rendell but saying “go go go” to Tom Corbett. Maybe I’m Amazed…….that any person of serious consequence especially those politically would be shocked that a hacker would invade his or her Twitter account. I am totally amazed that Congressman Anthony Weiner or any serious politico would have a questionable photo of themselves on any social media. What the hell is wrong with them?
Maybe I’m Amazed……..that Joe Biden said that he might be ready to roll out a campaign for President in 2016. One step at a time Mr. Vice President, get through this term first without sticking your foot in your……ooops….too late.
Maybe I’m Amazed…….that there are currently people making predictions on the Luzerne County Council Race when we are barely out of the primary.
Maybe I’m Amazed…..that there is an athletic coach from the Mid Valley that literally hangs out at a Burger King. God save us from volunteers who have no life and no perception that even the perception of impropriety is just as bad as doing a bad deed. And between that stupid King costume mascot BK has and guys like this, well my appetite for Burger King has diminished rapidly.
Maybe I’m Amazed…..that people were upset that an eighth grade class went to Hooters for lunch. The kids cleared it with their parents and it is a reputable chain where people go to eat. The moral outrage I heard on Talk Radio is so typical of narrow minded America (of which we are the Kings by the way) that it is laughable. These people will yell about what this is doing to the kids but be the first to bitch about their taxes going for reading or math enhancements for those same kids.
Maybe I’m Amazed……..that those kids from Jersey Shore went to court dressed like they were coming from Dorney Park when they went to file their lawsuit with the Lycoming County Court. I mean Hooters girls dressed more modestly than some of the “children” coming out of the court. The school prohibited them from walking during graduation because they were at a booze party in March and were stupid enough to brag about it on FaceBook. One of the Seniors who’s daddy was a lawyer filed suit and the Judge found for the kids. They could walk or stagger with the rest of their class.

Wow. Maybe the top ten...no, I'm joking. Bush was a lousy President, Cheney is an evil man, and together they did an amazing amount of damage to this world, but...Well, what about Stalin? Pol Pot? Ratko Mladic? Slobodan Milošević? Radovan Karadžić? King Leopold II of Belgium? Charles Taylor? Robert Mugabe? Francisco Franco? Joseph Goebbels? How about Cortez? Attila the Hun? Sadly, the kids who made this choice would probably respond to any of those names with a "Who?"

You clearly misunderstand the definition of treason.

I would like to know if the Judge took contributions from lawyers and if the daddy was a contributer?

Thanks again to that (edited) Steve Corbet for starting the fire on the Hooters subject. Again it just proves that he will stoop to any low and condemn anyone or anything to get a rise out of a subject. His claim to be this liberal thinking "former Hippie" is a laugh. In reality he's just a little cowardly weasel, who likes to make the snowballs and let someone else throw them. For God sake, the place is a restaurant, I've there, and have taken my children there many times. It's a perfectly respectable establishment. That man needs to go. (edited)
