INTERVIEW

This week I spoke with an individual who worked in the John Edwards for President campaigns in 2004 and 2008. Edwards was indicted for misusing campaign funds. The funds were used to pay hush money to the mother of his child.
Q: What drew you to Edwards?
A: Well at first it was the sincerity and the way he seemed to connect with people. But I was also impressed with his wife Elizabeth.
Q: What did you think of them as a couple, they were after all what they call a power couple. Did you see a resemblance with the Clintons?
A: Oh God know. I thought they really loved each other. I mean having children later on in their lives after the death of their teenage son, I thought that was a real demonstration of commitment and love.
Q: Did you ever meet them?
A: Twice and I was so impressed with both of them.
Q: Were you surprised when the allegations came out about the child especially after Elizabeth Edwards’ cancer diagnosis?
A: I was shocked. I thought that he was awful for doing that. What really hurt me was the fact that she was on the trail for him constantly, and while she was on the road he was making eyes at that blonde bimbo.
Q: In the book “Game Change” the authors said Edwards went crazy over that woman.
A: Yeah he was like obsessed with her. And I understand from that book that it was his own campaign people who leaked the news to the media. They didn’t even want him to be President!
Q: So where do you stand, what do you want for him?
A: Well, I want him to come to terms with what he did. It was a start that he didn’t eulogize Elizabeth. I want for him to heal himself for the sake of those younger kids.
Q: Would he have made a good President?
A: Yes and no. I think he had a social conscience that would have benefited the poorer people of this country. But I think his hubris and arrogance would have eventually destroyed his Presidency.
Q: Sooner or later?
A: Yes but I’m glad it came sooner rather than later. There was a political higher power that got him out of the way.
Q: You think that?
A: I have to because in my mind I have to justify how I got sucked in by this pretty boy.
Q: Are you still involved in politics?
A: Locally yeah but it’s going to be a while before I make a full blown commitment to a guy that sounds good on TV. Lesson learned man.

-and THAT affects the evidence? I want the opposition to go after these creeps. Maybe you like whitewash.

"Hold it right there!"
I'd like to take a moment to recognize the passing of TV's best long term lawman, Marshall Matt Dillon. The character and the actor always carried "himself" with dignity and consistency. I hope Miss Kitty, Doc and Chester are havin a beer somewhere today with Festus, and Matt.
Together James Arness and Peter Graves did some pretty good work over a number of decades.
I used to watch FURY every saturday morning and face off with Matt Dillon and GUNSMOKE later on saturday night all the way back about 1955 or so.

Anon 11:18;
Not whitewash, but clarity; we cannot convict a man in the media.
This is best left to a judge and jury.
Bless YOU

If Walter wants to stop the county from tearing down the hotel and he is concerned about the 6 million dollars City Vest had, why doesn't he do an audit to see how the money was spent? Oops, forgot, Walter doesn't know how to do an audit. Hey Yonk, can you use your blog power to find out where the county stands with the Controller's audits? Doing so would be a public service.
