LABOR DAY 


Celebrate if you are lucky enough to have a job. 
Empathize with so many of those who don’t. 
Know that in this day and age you can and will be replaced. 
Don’t think about work today. 
There’s time for that on Tuesday.

OH, YOU MEAN THE CORPORATION THAT LAID YOU OFF BECAUSE THEY HAD TO "RIGHT SIZE" THEIR BUSINESS INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR ATTRITION AMONG THEIR STAFF, THE SMALL BUSINESS OWNER WHO LAID PEOPLE OFF BECAUSE THEIR RELATIVES NEEDED THE JOBS, THE COMPANY THAT EXPORTED YOUR JOB TO CANADA OR INDIA BECAUSE YOU COST THEM TOO MUCH MONEY AT $10.25 AN HOUR, OR THE BUSINESS THAT GAVE YOU AS A REASON "IT JUST WASN'T WORKING OUT" AFTER THEY SQUEEZED THE SNOT OUT OF YOU, ARE THOSE THE PEOPLE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT????

NOPE. THESE ARE NOT ALL MY EXAMPLES. BUT THEY ARE INDICATIVE OF WHAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE GONE THROUGH IN THE LAST 12 YEARS. LET ME ADD A FEW MORE, HOW ABOUT THE UNION MEMBER WHO WAS TOLD THEY ARE "RETHINKING THEIR CORPORATE STRATEGY" AND TRANSFERRING THE GUY TO A PLANT 50 MILES AWAY? HOW ABOUT THE KID WHO WORKS A 90 DAY TRIAL PERIOD FOR ONE OF THOSE BIG COMPANIES THE CHAMBER SAID WAS SOOOOOO GREAT AND ON THE 89TH DAY HE DOESN'T GET HIRED FULL TIME? THEN HE FIND OUT ONE OF HIS BUDDIES WAS STARTING WITH THE SAME 90 DAY COMMITMENT? OR HOW ABOUT THE BEER TRUCK DRIVER WHO HAD 6 MONTHS TO MAKE IT TO HIS RETIREMENT AND THEN WAS TOLD HE'D BE BE LET GO BECAUSE HE WASN'T DOING A GOOD JOB? COULDN'T THEY HAVE FOUND THAT OUT SOONER? AND HOW ABOUT THE PERSON WHO WAS 6 MONTHS AWAY FROM BEING VESTED IN A RETIREMENT PLAN AND TOLD NICE TO SEE YA? THIS BLOG IS NOT ALL ABOUT ME. YOUR ATTITUDE REALLY INDICATES THAT YOU HAVE NO COMPASSION FOR PEOPLE UNEMPLOYED. I BET YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE "JOB CREATORS" THAT WE HEAR SOOOOOO MUCH ABOUT. SORRY FOR NOT KISSING YOUR ASS THIS LABOR DAY. AND I JUST THOUGHT OF ANOTHER ONE, HOW ABOUT THE BUSINESS THAT LAYS SOMEONE OFF BECAUSE IT'S SLOW, CALLS THE BUY BACK TO THE FACTORY A FEW WEEKS LATER ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY LOCKED THE PLACE UP?

You tell 'em Yonk. I bet whoever wrote that was against wheelchair ramps for disabled people. Naw, the GOP and your LuLac haters can't be that bad!! I hope whoever opined never needs help.

THERE ARE A FEW. ONE GUY ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE ACTUALLY COMPLAINED THAT TED KENNEDY WAS THE GUY WHO MADE BUSINESSES INVEST IN WHEELCHAIR RAMPS THAT NO ONE USES! GEORGE H.W. BUSH ALSO WAS THE PRESIDENT WHO SIGNED THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITY ACT BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO SET HIM OFF.
