This is their press release:
The American Future Fund Political Action issued the following statement regarding the brewing leadership fight within the Pennsylvania Republican State Senate caucus.
Nick Ryan, Chairman of American Future Fund Action, said: "This past Tuesday, while Republicans across the nation were celebrating landmark victories, Pennsylvania Republicans were facing the first defeat of an incumbent Governor in the Commonwealth's history. One of the main causes of the defeat of Governor Corbett was the inaction, ineptitude, and impotence of the Republican leadership in the Pennsylvania State Senate."
"For four years, Governor Corbett was unable to pass virtually any legislation that would have moved Pennsylvania in the right direction. The cause was simple, members of the Republican State Senate cared more about union bosses in Philadelphia than their constituents or the good of the Commonwealth as a whole. The blame for all of these problems lies at the feet of Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi. Pileggi's Philadelphia Boss-Style politics has no place in the leadership of the Republican Party should we hope to govern based on principles rather than our campaign coffers," concluded Ryan.
The American Future Fund Political Action is a national conservative political action committee that has invested millions in support of Republican candidates across the country. This past year, AFFPA invested resources in support of several national Republican leaders including Congressman Fred Upton's uphill battle for re-election - going toe-to-toe with liberal outside groups that were spending millions in opposition to Upton in Michigan to help Upton win by double-digits.
With the retirement of House Speaker Sam Smith the time is ripe for leadership changes. It will be fascinating to see how incoming Governor Tom Wolf deals with all of this.
I am stunned…………but not really by the reactions I hear from people regarding the Tom Wolf win. Before you scream about your taxes and how he will act as Governor…..let him first take the freaking oath first. Please.
Also, to make endless speculation about who will be in Wolf’s Cabinet is pointless right now. It takes time to form an administration. David Sweet the Transition head for the Rendell team in 2002-2003 did not leave that post until well after the Inauguration. The late Governor Bob Casey appointed hid final Cabinet member well into 1987. So give speculate all you want…….but take a breath and take a break.
So when the U.S. Marshall made the announcement that he slammed the accused cop killer to the ground in apprehending him, some people were calling for an investigation, saying that the accused was manhandled and that there was rough treatment. Here’s the thing, the guy was a fugitive He killed before. You do what you need to do to arrest an individual of this sort. Who is to say he did have a weapon on him or a trigger device. Sorry, but if you have never apprehended anybody in a situation like his, let’s not get too picky about how we got him or his boo boo. There is a family of a dead state trooper who will wish everyday that that’s all their loved one got, a bruised nose.
CORBETT'S AD STRATEGY QUESTIONED
WYLN TV 35's Tiffany Cloud made a pretty revealing comment on Face book the other day concerning the Governor's race. Cloud questioned why the Corbett team would appear and put money into a Cable Access station rather than a bonafide FCC licensed station. Here's what she wrote:Governor Corbett never made an appearance on my television show--a show, ironically, hosted by a conservative host with by FAR the largest footprint of any Hazleton based TV show in Hazleton--airing all through Hazleton and Wilkes Barre. A show Senators and Congressmen (who win their races) appear on.
Corbett LOST in Luzerne County. I spent MONTHS telling his campaign staff and his communication director to do the show. Not only did they not listen--some of them were absolutely arrogant and rude. The Governor did appear on another Hazleton based show.
Let me remind you...he LOST Luzerne County.
Do I think that's the entire reason? No. Do I think it was a stupid decision by his camp? Abundantly stupid.
This phenomenon has happened in past--former DA Jackie Musto Carroll appeared only on another Hazleton based station. She lost too.
I was also the only Hazleton-based host to interview Congressman Cartwright in his re-election bid. He won Luzerne Co.
These are facts.
See a pattern?

The alledged murderers sister has felt free to speak out again. She questions his treatment during his arrest. What nerve! He is lucky he didnt get the treatment he richly deserved. Talk to the wounded Trooper and see how his treatment is going, sis or the family of the dead Trooper. Just shut up! on
So, Ms. Cloud, let's review: You say that Corbett's snub wasn't the only reason he lost Luzerne County, but you nonetheless want us to "see a pattern." I think you should make up your mind as to what you want to say.
The pattern that I see, actually, is that Corbett lost in lots of places. Get over yourself.
Yep, if Corbett did an interview at a tiny, non network affiliated, tv station, on a barely known show, in a nearly dead city, he would have won
