TRUMP’S ANNOUNCEMENT

Today you had a preview of what a Donald Trump Presidency would be like. When confronted he did not answer the hard questions, plus he was rude and self aggrandizing.
He stayed true to form.
But the comforting thing for America is that he has declared he will not change. That’s good because the people who love Trump will love this style. After all it got him to the nomination.
For those wary of the Trump temperament, this is a glance into the way he will act. Can you imagine a news conference with Foreign leaders? Just saying.
Then there’s the question of Trump’s fundraising for veterans. He will pony up the money (he wrote the checks on the same day the newspapers were asking about it) but he might have issues with some veterans. Many on the Mall in Washington on Sunday for “Rolling Thunder” say they are still angry at his attack on former POW John McCain. Hillary Clinton or even Gary Johnson can capitalize on that one. Then when Trump complained about the crowd not being as big as the Civil Rights March of 1963, well for many that was not just a stub of the toe but a major faux pas.
But hey, Donald isn’t going to change. He is kind of like this fellow from the last century. The issue with that is one was a cartoon character and the other is………wait, they are both cartoon characters.
Sail on Donald!

ATTENTION SCRANTON

I know you are having issues with your garbage fees. Some are not paying, even public officials who are getting paid by their neighbors who presumably are paying their garbage fees.
I have a solution for your garbage woes.
BAGS.
Anyone who has garbage puts it in a bag. They buy the bags at a Convenience store or Gerritty’s That pays for the garbage. The deadbeat cops, lawyers and connected have to pay because they buy bags.
You can still keep your precious unions because the staffers would have to pick it up on the curbside.
You can get rid of the people trying to collect the garbage fees because there will no need to chase down the losers not interested in doing their fair share.
The people who don’t pay will either have their crap left on the curbs or they’ll be on Hoarders some day.
This is real easy. It worked for Wilkes Barre and numerous other cities.
In the photos below are our garbage from our house and then from the King’s students who recently moved. We paid for what we used.
That makes sense everywhere but Scranton, Pa.

Trump has set himself to go head to head with the one entity people hate more than the government or the political class; the media, and the media continues to fall for it.
How much free media has he gotten since day one?

The reason people not of means relate to him, is because they feel, rightfully or not, that they are persecuted by someone or something; companies, corporations, banks, politicians, etc...
Trump has some how manged to convince others he too is one of the persecuted. And, he has made the media his persecutors, and people are biting.
Just watch when it comes to his tax returns. He has everyone talking about it, he set up George S as the persecutor, and come Sept or Oct, he will release them, and there will be no big reveals, but Trump will cry "victim" of the press, and the people will eat it up.
Trump can not be underestimated, he has soundly beaten 17 other candidates using his strategy, while on the other side, the anointed and eventual nominee, is being forced to spend money to beat some Larry David lookalike old guy no one ever heard of until this last year.

the per bag fee is the most fair and makes the most sense, some greedy municipalities actually charge and annual fee, plus a per bag fee, and then limit bags you can put out.

IN RESPONSE

That's unfortunate that the smaller towns do that. But Scranton is such a mess. My dad used to say that if there was an atomic war, go to Scranton and you'd live another 10 years before it hit them.

Yep, I wouldn't put it past him. I never said he wasn't brilliant.

Popeye was loyal to Olive Oyl and his friends and country. He wasn't afraid to point out injustice and take a stand against it. He was resilient and would brave a mouthful of unpleasant spinach for fortitude to carry on the good fight. He was truthful and protective of the underdog. He was something of a wise ass with his mumbled insults directed at the arrogant. Popular with kids and adults it's good to see a bit of him in the flesh. Could the P in POTUS be Popeye in 2016?
