The LuLac Edition #3395, January 3rd, 2017

WE'RE BACK

So my plan was to take more than a week to recharge. But I could not let the events go especially after this stunt the crooks and pervs in the GOP House tried today.

LIKE THIEVES IN THE NIGHT
Little Bobby Goodlatte gets his claws cut!!! (Photo: Washington Times)
The House Republicans decided to pull a fast one on a holiday weekend voting to disband the House Ethics Committee, an independent arm that was set up in 2008 after various scandals in the House of Representatives. Like thieves and crooks in the dark, the House leaders (and I say that laughably) voted to disband the unit. The body was created after a string of serious ethical issues starting a decade ago, including bribery allegations against Representatives Duke Cunningham, Republican of California; William J. Jefferson, Democrat of Louisiana; and Bob Ney, Republican of Ohio. All three were ultimately convicted and served time in jail.
The reasoning of the GOP crooks was stunning though. The amendment builds upon and strengthens the existing Office of Congressional Ethics by maintaining its primary area of focus of accepting and reviewing complaints from the public and referring them, if appropriate, to the Committee on Ethics. It also improves upon due process rights for individuals under investigation, as well as witnesses called to testify.” said Bobby Goodlattte the brain trust behind this.
This is BULLSHIT. Do you see this guy’s photo? I mean he has bullshit written all over him.
The fact is the GOP eliminated the only oversight body in the House that can watch them.
This is your Republican Congress.
The President Elect tweeted that this was not the first thing to hang their hat on. They were even rebuked by House Leadership Paul Ryan and Kevin McCarthy.
But they tried.
Let me tell you about the GOP Congressmen. They are not for you, they are for themselves.
Do you think they wanted a lid on this because of parade of perverts that came through the ranks of the Republicans? Let me tell you about the Republican perverts in the House.
Ed Schrock, Representative (R-VA), announced he would abort his 2004 attempt for a third term in Congress after allegedly being caught on tape soliciting sex from a male prostitute after having aggressively opposed various gay-rights issues in Congress, such as same-sex marriage and gays in the military..
David Dreier, Representative (R-CA), voted against a number of gay rights proposals, but was outed concerning his relationship with his chief of staff.
Don Sherwood, Representative (R-PA), failed to win re-election following revelations of a five-year extramarital affair with Cynthia Ore, who accused him of physically abusing her.
Mark Foley, Representative (R-FL), resigned his House seat when accused of sending sexually explicit e-mails to teenage male congressional pages.
Randall L. Tobias (R), Deputy Secretary of State and former "AIDS Czar" appointed by George W. Bush, stated that U.S. funds should be denied to countries that permitted prostitution. He resigned on April 27, 2007, after confirming that he had been a customer of Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the DC Madam.
Mark Souder, Representative (R-IN), a staunch advocate of abstinence and family values, resigned to avoid an ethics investigation into his admitted extramarital affair with a female staffer
Vance McAllister, Representative (R-LA), who is married and the father of five, was caught on surveillance camera deeply kissing a married staffer. Several prominent Republicans asked McAllister to resign. In response, he stated he would not seek re-election in 2016.
Do you think maybe they wanted to get rid of the Ethics Committee to protect their pervs?
And while we’re at it, let’s give you a list of what the GOP opposed under President Obama.
The GOP House basically says its okay to kill children at Sandy Hook and gays in Orlando. Outrageous statement? I think NOT. In 2016 House Republican forced GOP leaders to indefinitely postpone a vote on an "anti-terrorism package," leaving Congress with no legislative response to the massacre in Orlando.
House Republicans voted to block debate on bipartisan legislation to expand and strengthen background checks in order to curb gun violence and keep the American people.
Five times House Republicans voted against lifting the unconscionable 19-year-long ban on federal research on gun violence.
$6.5 Trillion: is the number of proposed cuts to key initiatives like Medicare, Medicaid and food stamps in Ryan’s Road-to-Ruin budget proposal which wasn’t sufficiently harsh enough to garner support from House Republicans.
$269 billion in Tax breaks over 10 years House Republicans have passed for the wealthiest 0.2 percent of Americans in the country – 5,400 estates a year.
Comprehensive immigration reform bills brought to the floor by House Republican leaders this Congress ZERO times!
House Republicans voted against allowing the House to even debate the Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would protect Americans’ most sacred right – the right to vote – by strengthening and restoring the Voting Rights Act.
Unanimously The Republican vote to target LGBT Americans by supporting the Russell amendment to the Defense Authorization bill that effectively overturns President Obama’s historic executive order protecting LGBT workers in federal contracts, therefore enabling discrimination with taxpayer funds.
100: Percent of House Republicans voted against ensuring that LGBT schoolchildren are protected – by prohibiting discrimination against voucher students on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Unanimously: The Republican vote in favor of the display of the Confederate Battle Flag at The Citadel and other institutions that train military officers with taxpayer funds.
House Republicans voted against bringing a bill to the floor that would institute a Buy America requirement for iron and steel used in federally funded drinking water infrastructure projects.
House Republicans voted against bringing up the student loan refinancing bill.
100 Percent of House Republicans voted against allowing a vote to let American workers earn just seven job-protected paid sick days each year.
So these are the House Republicans that are supposed to represent the common many. These self righteous clowns serve no one but themselves.
Like thieves in the night, they are to be demeaned, called out and shown for the disgusting vile hypocrites they really are.

Just saw my Obamacare premium too bad Yonk didn't kick ass and take on the pricks 10 years ago. Too late now the populace is pissed and want Trump to do it.

The Trump effect has landed forcefully on Capitol Hill.

Less than two hours after President-elect Donald Trump criticized House Republicans — in a tweet, of course — for trying to gut an ethics investigative unit on the first day of business in the new Congress, those plans lay in shambles in the Republican conference’s meeting room.

The immediate outcome was to keep intact the independent Office of Congressional Ethics — exactly the status quo that House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) and his leadership team had hoped to protect. That result, however, appeared largely to be the result of Trump’s intervention rather than Ryan’s maneuvering.

But of course Yonk buried this one - doesn't fit his template.

David if there ever was an elected official to use office for personal financial gain it was LBJ. Yet you place him on a pedestal of hero worship.
The Kennedy's have repeatedly exploited their political power from everything to personal gain and circumventing the law. Yet, they are on the receiving end of your accolades.
Almost all elected officials are in it for some type of personal gain or selfaggrandizement.
What else explains raising and spending millions of dollars for a job that pays a little over one hundred grand?

You bet. But the difference between JFK, LBJ, even Nixon is the fact that they never lost track of the fact that people needed help. A step up. All the major legislation this bunch of thugs has stopped or tried to thwart came from those guys. Hey, get rid of the EPA and have shit in your lakes and streams.
Repeal Voting Rights because of a person's skin color.
There are people who bend the rules and then there are people that use the rules to shit on the American middle class and take for themselves.
There will be a Congressman getting a blowjob from a guy in a back seat and then vote to discriminate from two gays getting married.
BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE!

You tell 'em Yonk. JFK, LBJ, all those Trump supporters, the old farts with the Trump bumper stickers on their baby SUV's, sitting on their fat asses in retirement benefited from Democratic policies.
And the stupid bastards pull a level because their lives are so freakin' bad.
These asswipes scream, "my grandkids have to pay the debts".
Wait until pigboy builds up the debt with his infrastructure cronies.

hey 10:59....just who benefited from the affordable care act?
you mean you never worried about pre existing conditions?
Did O care make you pay a bit more? Oh you poor little whining baby!
20 million Americans got health care.
You sound like one of the people who begrudge the very foundation of what health care is.
And by the way, the insurance companies raised your premiums, blame them.
I bet you are crying about paying for more gas.
That comes from your GOP Governor in 2013.
