I didn't want this obit to go unnoticed. Earl Watson died last week. Watson was a prolific writer and columnist for The Sunday Independent. He was funny, articulate and what they used to call "a hale fellow well met!" His columns "Rambling With The Baron" named names but only in the most gentle fashion. Whether it was judging a Chili Contest for a Charity event (I got the nod of approval when I saw him taste one of my entries at a Cherry Blossom event!) or telling you which horse was doing well at The Downs, you could always count on a good word.
When The Independent closed in the early 90s, the void that was left was felt in the covering of Wilkes Barre news.
He was a veteran, a Temple Graduate and 88 when he died.

Sue Henry, didn't have the guts to run, but OK if nomination was handed to her. She's just another worthless GOP who will side with Trump and all the shady deals in PA to deny the vote, take away healthcare, stand against women's rights, the list goes on and on. Henry offers nothing but help for the top 1%.

You're just a shill for a neophyte opportunist who, as you know, fell for the Trump BS--hook, line, and sinker. She then latched on to this property tax thing (who wants to pay taxes anyway?). Old saying: "Don't tax you and don't tax me but tax that guy standing under the tree." Somebody will have to pay to educate our youth, tomorrow's leaders. So, eventually you will pay--just hope it won't cause you to lose your house, poor fellow.
Electing Sue Henry will do absolutely nothing about property tax. To change the tax structure and funding requires more than simple legislation, it requires an amendment to the PA constitution. And, while in this part of the state there is a clamoring to change school funding, that is not the case everywhere. In cities and counties with good economies, younger demographics and proper reassessment, the cry is not loud.
She may win, Barletta and Trump both proved a one issue candidate, no matter how uninformed the candidate is on that issue, by playing on fear, can win.

Collusion to influence an election is the blood of all Trump republicans. It trickles down, like orange colored sweat, staining all it touches.
Sue Henry did not earn her ballot spot. She colluded to get it. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
If this was anyone but one of Yonk's buddies, he would be bashing her as he does her political progenitor.

Vilano is a Tool and Toady of shady Republican dealings throughout the area, she is also a strong Trump Cult member who supports this vile and vulgar Racist and Bigot. Vilano is not the solution to the problem, her nefarious actions make her the problem!
