THE CASEY AD

Bob Casey’s Senate campaign put up an ad over the weekend featuring a mother speaking about how she would never vote for Barletta because he and his fellow Republicans have done their best to destroy the Affordable Care Act and get rid of pre existing conditions.

Not more than after a few running of the ads, the whiny GOP machine, a machine that constantly lies and attacks everything Democrats do in Pennsylvania got their panties in a bind.
This is how the blubbering started.

AND THE STATE GOP WHINES

This weekend, despite knowing that Congressman Lou Barletta’s 18-month-old grandson is battling cancer, Bob Casey released a negative and patently false attack ad claiming that Congressman Barletta would support stripping health coverage for those with preexisting conditions.
The ad never mentions Barletta’s grandson but points out what REAL people are going through for their health care concerns. The GOP has voted more than 50 times to get rid of the failed ACA act but NEVER came up with an alternative plan.
Despite requests to take down what is nothing short of a hurtful and callous attack on Congressman Barletta’s family, despite the fact that Barletta has voted to support protecting insurance coverage for those with preexisting conditions, Casey has doubled-down and refused to take down the negative attack ad.
IT WASN’T AN ATTACK ON BARLETTA’S FAMILY!!!! MY GOD WHAT A DESPERATE LEAP THEY ARE MAKING!
IF IT WAS A GOP AD, DO YOU THINK THEY’D TAKE IT DOWN?
In response, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Val DiGiorgio, made the following statement:
“Bob Casey should step up, apologize to the Barletta family, and take down his negative and false attack ad.
"Not only is the ad hurtful and completely disrespectful of a suffering family, but it is nothing short of a distortion of the truth about Congressman Barletta’s position on protecting those with preexisting conditions. Lou Barletta has repeatedly voted and cosponsored legislation to protect pre-existing conditions ”
This thug here, DiGiorgio has been lying from day one and whining about the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the gerrymandering. He did it on statewide TV Sunday morning.
On pre existing conditions, Barletta is part of the party that has been hellbent on getting rid of pre existing conditions. Sponsoring a bill as lying Val says is not the same as saying to your party, “People are being hurt here!”
John Hanger said Lou Barletta votes repeatedly to end the full pre-existing conditions protections of the Affordable Care Act over the last 6 years. The American Cancer Society opposed his position. Then 7 weeks ago, one of Barletta's grandsons is diagnosed with cancer. Instead of saying I regret my votes, Barletta attacks Casey for telling the awful truth about his voting record that hurts anyone with a pre-existing condition, including now his grandson. Awful!
Very true. Casey said that he didn’t intend to hurt Barletta’s family. That’s the class guy he is. But my God, the party that cried “lock her Up”, supported  the defaming of  women, supported the pig that we call a President has some God Damn nerve getting their little itty feelings hurt when an ad tells the truth!

SID MICHAELS KAVULICH
We were so sad to hear that broadcaster, TV personality, sports reporter and State Legislator Sid Michaels Kavulich passed away. Sid was the real deal in every shape and form.
I had dealings with him in all realms, socially, on the baseball field when the Barons were in town, at political events, he was a true gentleman and an honest man.
He’s gone too young at age 62. He will be missed.

Election day must be getting close, the TV campaign ads are getting nastier and nastier. What ever happened to running on the premise of how qualified and better suited to do the job you're running for? The politicians running for office are all pretty disgusting with the mud slinging. It makes it harder and harder to vote for any of them

Woo-hoo, Lou! Were you supporting coverage for pre-existing conditions when you voted to repeal the ACA? I don't THINK so. Or what about when you voted for those idiotic Republican mini-plans that didn't mandate such coverage? No, you weren't. Pretending that you support mandatory coverage for pre-existing conditions, given your voting record, makes you a liar just like your orange-crowned mentor. And the political market for that sort of thing appears to be drying up. Good luck with that new job you'll take with the feds in Jan., presumably reducing the size of the windows in the prisons--oops, I mean summer camps--in which the administration likes to warehouse children who they've separated from their parents
