WRITE ON WEDNESDAY
Our “Write On Wednesday” logo
This week’s “Write On Wednesday comes to us from the Short Story Scribe who reflects on the 41st President’s death, war and the people who fought in the conflicts.

GEORGE H.W. AND THE VETERANS PAST AND PRESENT

Former President George H.W. Bush passed away. His service to this country is something which defined him. From bloggers and journalists to pundits and politicians, many will write and speak of him and his service over the next several days and weeks. Those praises will have been earned.Yet, there were, and continue to be, many who return(ed) from their war(s). Some did not or do not return to loving families or great financial wealth. They did not return to a life without struggle. Some return(ed) changed and damaged and broken. For them War Springs Eternal — Who speaks for them?
