DIAPER DON EDITION

There was so much this President provided this week.

TRUMP'S IMMIGRATION PLOY!

Here’s why Donald Trump is using immigration as his teething ring. Trump knows he is being investigated by 17 different entities. Immigration and his tough stance (unreasonable if you ask me) will be his exit strategy. When the Mueller investigation comes crashing down, and Trump resigns, gets lead out in cuffs or just has a nervous breakdown, he can tell his minions that the investigations were not about his criminality but that they were started because he was tough on immigration. He was persecuted and the people that are up his butt……………will believe it.
That’s why he refuses to make a deal. The man is ignorant but not stupid when it comes to his own survival.

TRUMP’S ACCUSATION ON DEMS WALL SUPPORT WRONG AND HIS SUPPORTERS BELIEVE HIM

Diaper Don said he doesn’t  understand why the Democrats are so wholeheartedly against his wall. They voted for it in 2006. Then-Sen. Obama voted for it. Sen. Schumer voted for it. Sen. Clinton voted for it. So he has people not understanding why Democrats are now playing politics just because little Diaper Don is in office.

HERE’S WHY! IT WASN’T A WALL BUT A FENCE!

The Secure Fence Act of 2006, which was passed by a Republican Congress and signed by President George W. Bush, authorized about 700 miles of fencing along certain stretches of land between the border of the United States and Mexico.
The act also authorized the use of more vehicle barriers, checkpoints and lighting to curb illegal immigration, and the use of advanced technology such as satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles.
At the time the act was being considered, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer were all members of the Senate. (Schumer of New York is now the Senate minority leader.)
Obama, Clinton, Schumer and 23 other Democratic senators voted in favor of the act when it passed in the Senate by a vote of 80 to 19.
Originally, the act called on the Department of Homeland Security to install at least two layers of reinforced fencing along some stretches of the border. That was amended later, however, through the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2008, which got rid of the double-layer requirement.
Currently, 702 miles of fencing separates the United States from Mexico, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
So how does that compare to Trump’s wall?
Trump plans for the wall are vague, but here’s what we know.
He said the wall doesn’t need to run the nearly 2,000 miles of the border, but about 1,000 miles because of natural barriers. He said it could cost between $8 billion and $12 billion, be made of precast concrete, and rise 35 to 40 feet, or 50 feet, or higher.
That’ a guess. But to say the Democrats supported what old Diaper is screwing around with is just a lie.

TRUMP WALKS AWAY

The President tried bribing Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer with Baby Ruth candy bars and M&Ms. He then asked the Speaker and Minority Leader if he could have his wall.
They said no. He said “We have nothing to talk about” and left the room.
Just like a……………well, let’s have Len Barry finish it for us shall we?
.

TRUMP NEVER MENTIONED FEDERAL WORKERS

In his speech the other evening, Trump never mentioned the 800,000 federal workers without paychecks. He never took the offer of a deal from Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to open the government and then negotiate the wall.
He advised that Federal workers would have to make adjustment. The bottom line here is that once you miss a paycheck, you can’t make it up. But Trump who had everything handed to him or something he stole doesn’t understand the working class. He is a disgrace not only as a President but a human being.

TRUMP HURTS FARMERS, BUYS PORK FROM BRAZIL

U.S. taxpayers will buy about $5 million in pork products from a Brazilian-owned meatpacking firm under President Trump’s bailout program, which was designed to help American farmers hurt by the administration’s trade war, according to documents released Wednesday.
JBS, one of the biggest meatpacking companies in the world, will sell 1.8 million pounds of pork products through a Trump bailout program that buys surplus commodities from farmers and ranchers, say records published by the Agricultural Marketing Service, a branch of the Agriculture.

CASEY CALLS IT SMOKE AND MIRRORS

United States Senator Bob Casey (Photo: LuLac archives)
U.S. Senator Bob Casey said the following about the President’s address on the ongoing Trump shutdown:
“President Trump shut down the government to force the construction of a wall that security experts say won’t work. A concrete or steel wall is not border security. Instead of continuing his shutdown, President Trump should commit to signing the Republican bills passed by the Democratic House that would reopen the government and secure the border with over $1 billion in funding.
Once the government is reopened, Congress should have a substantial debate on how to fix our broken system and begin work on legislation that mirrors the bipartisan 2013 comprehensive immigration reform bill. That legislation passed with 68 votes in the Senate and provided $40 billion in funding for border security. It also provided order, rules and certainty for individuals and businesses and a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.”

THEN THERE’S MARINO AND MEUSER

These guys gave these two quotes to the Times Leader Bill O’Boyle about Immigration and the shutdown. They were beauts.
“Illegal drugs, crime, and gangs that continually hurt communities across the US have surged across our southern border and are exacerbating the existing crisis that has endangered Americans and those who have taken the dangerous journey".
WRONG Tommy! But you’re a failed Drug Czar wanna be and most of the drugs don’t come on the personal effects of women and kids that your party separated from their families. Tommy Boy YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONGRESS since 2018 and your leadership along with your party has been LIMP and IMPOTENT!
Then there’s Danny Meuser who said, “He showed why it’s so important that Democrats come to the table, negotiate in good faith, put an end to the shutdown and provide for our border security".
Democrats HAVE been at the table but your sainted god of a President you genuflect in front of Danny had  agreed to a DACA compromise but then was lead by the nose by the right wing. He had his 5 million bucks but got scared of Anne Coulter! Really? Anne Coulter? The only one not negotiating in good faith is your boy Diaper Don!

My thoughts, instead of a wall, why not consider an Ellis Island type of processing center as was done in the earlier years of our history. Welcome all these newcomers as we did in the past, IF they pass all the entrance examinations and due processes. Instead of the Latino population, the same bigotry was afforded to the Irish, Welsh and Poles way back when. New times, same old thought patterns.
