MAYBE I’M AMAZED

MAYBE I’M AMAZED…….that in his State of the Union address, Trump brought up Socialism. I’m not sure the man knows exactly what that means except that he wants to stir up the base. I would hope that the same hateful old white men who cry “socialism” would be willing to take twenty bucks out of their Social Security checks to help Diaper Don pay for his wall.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED…..that more people in Idaho and parts of Tunkhannock are more worried about building a wall than the people who are actually on the border.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED….that thunder is the sound caused by lightening.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED….that all the people crowing about how climate change was a hoax when we had those sub zero temperatures did not realize that that weather was a result of a warm front from the north pole pressing down on the cold air causing those temperatures.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED……that so many people thought this year’s Super Bowl was boring. Defensive games can be outstanding if you have the patience and the interest to watch.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED…..that after we hear about Trump’s private schedule where more than 65% of it is watching TV and gassing with friends, now we hear he wants to launch an investigative to see who leaked it. Look I’m sure it is awful working for him so whoever did it, good on them. But I truly believe that when you see Trump away from public view for a few days, he’s getting the hair done and the face bleached. After all, a man has got to keep up appearances.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED….that the same people who fretted about Ronald Reagan’s physical and mental health when he was talking about running for re-election as President in 1983 now say nary a word about Trump. Putting aside his physical health, you have to wonder about the guy’s mental state. Reagan might have been grounded in Hollywood reality but at no time did we ever doubt his patriotism when it came to making America first in the world. Where are those voices who doubted Reagan making a case for a close eye on Diaper Don?
MAYBE I’M AMAZED……but very glad that Jeff Bazos came after the slobs at the National Enquirer. The sad thing about The Enquirer is that there are people in this country that are dumb enough to use them as their main news source.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED….. that this year the Ground Hog indeed did not see his shadow. Even he had to be unhappy with the two weeks of cold weather.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED…..that in his interview with Margret Brennan on CBS’ Face The Nation, Trump said he’d get his own intelligence people to keep an eye on Iran. See I thought the Iran deal that was painstakingly negotiated was supposed to do that. But we’ll never know because he just killed it without any thought.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED…that those who took their 30 pieces of silver in the Trump tax cut last year might be surprised at what it might do for large families as well as itemized deductions.  It eliminates personal exemptions. Before the Act, taxpayers subtracted $4,150 from income for each person claimed. As a result, some families with many children will pay higher taxes despite the Act's increased standard deductions.
The Act eliminates most itemized deductions. That includes moving expenses, except for members of the military. Those paying alimony can no longer deduct it, while those receiving it can. This change is effective for divorces signed in 2018.
MAYBE I’M AMAZED…..that the meme masters now have proclaimed Nancy Pelosi the most hated woman in America. Some of the memes come from women. I am stunned and wonder why women just can’t stand the success of another member of their own gender. Pelosi took it to Trump and I guess that might be part of the equation. But now Hillary is still number 2. And by the way, not under 17 investigations.
