13 QUESTIONS

Our “13 Questions” logo.

1. The articles of Impeachment are supposed to go to the Senate this week. Any predictions?

Hard to say. The GOP has the majority and most likely Trump will be acquitted. If that happens there needs to be a great deal of counter messaging from people who oppose him to prevent him from spinning this as an outright exoneration. Two things that need to be said:
a. The Senate ignored the evidence and individual Republican members should be held accountable.
b. There should be an appeal to that segment of the population that is sick of the drama. This might consist of people who haven’t registered. I’d suggest getting these voters signed up as a type of counter to the way Trump had first time voters back him in 2016.

2. Axios reported that 9 out of 11 swing voters they surveyed in Luzerne County would vote for Trump again. That’s even with the Iran problem. Thoughts?

I’ve pretty much given up on understanding people in this county that embrace a Republican philosophy and especially a know nothing like Trump. I nearly busted a gut laughing when one of them said “The President knows more than we do”. My God was she even hearing what she was saying?

3. Do you think the Patriots reign is over?

It won’t be the same without rebuilding but never count them out until they become the '69 Packers or the '66 Yankees. They only lost one playoff game. Relax,

4. Does it bother you world leaders think our President is a joke?

What bothers me is that voters in ’16 never realized what a joke he was. What bothers me is that people who love Trump don’t think he’s a joke. No matter what people thought about Hillary, at least she wouldn’t have been a worldwide joke.

5. Did you send the Korean dictator of the North a birthday greeting?

No. But old Diaper Don did and his best buddy said friends or no friends, this is business and I am going to keep building those weapons.

6. Why is it the right wingers and trumpites go after Nancy Pelosi and why is it both sexes?

Because when you don’t have an argument, an insult is always at the ready. The men most likely are intimidated by strong women and have issues that only a psychologist and their urologist can only understand. The women are jealous and envious of a woman who can actually stand up to a man.

7. Price Harry and Meghan Markle, any thoughts on the recent news about them distancing themselves from the Royal family?

At first I had none. But the tabloids have been horrible toward the mother and child with really racist comments on the appearance of the child. Their only mistake seems to be that they didn't tell the Queen. That said, they are born to tradition but should not be slaves to it if it causes pain.

8. Do you think the Democrats should just not pay attention to the Iowa caucuses?

Yes indeed. I’ve been saying that for years. 90,000 white, corn fed, entitled voters who want their Presidential candidates to do everything but clean their sidewalks and empty their kitty litter containers. Even if they have to schedule a primary on the fourth of July the year before the election….just get rid of the importance of being first that is attached to it.

9. Is there any way Bernie Sanders might get the nomination?

Yes there is. If he wins Iowa and New Hampshire and pulls third or second in Carolina, he has a leg up. That will present a problem for the Democrats.

10. When you prepare your Year End editions, when do start your planning and how often do you need to update?

I update the deaths up until New Year’s Eve. As far as planning, after Halloween.

11 I saw you on Facebook and at the swearing in ceremony at the Kirby. Now that you lost all that weight, how do you treat yourself?

Very carefully. I still love a good Hershey or Pepperidge Farm product. But only indulge one a day if that. Plus, no eating anything after 8pm helps.

12. How was your Christmas and did you have a new Christmas favorite song you were playing?

I never had a bad one and this year was outstanding. My vision was repaired and so many people were concerned about me  during the busy Christmas season. I am humbled by the outpouring of prayers and concern.  My new Christmas song blaring was “I Don't Want to Spend Another Christmas Without You” by Ready Set.

13. Are you staying on at Wilkes Barre City Hall?

As long as they want me. Yes!
