Jim Bognet with 13,632 leads Teddy Daniels who has 12,279 a difference of  1353 votes. There are still outstanding ballots to be counted but Bognet declared victory although Daniels did no conceded as of this posting. In our Thursday edition, we'll write about the Daniels factor in the 2020 Presidential race.

9th DISTRICT 

DEMOCRATS

Laura Quick  Quick has a 391 vote lead over Gary Wegman. We are applying the same standard with this race to the one in the 8th and not calling it until official results are in due to the mail in ballot.

SHOUT OUT TO ELECTION BUREAUS IN THE LU AND THE LAC

Kudos to the staff and election officials in both the Luzerne and Lackwanna County Election offices. The mail in ballot requests had to be a monumental task but they handled the new situation quite well. File this under all the times an airplane never crashes. Whenever there is a snafu people unfairly paint these offices as incompetent. They are far from that. We thank them for their good and hard work these past days.
