DEREK CHAUVIN GUILTY OF MURDER IN DEATH OF GEORGE FLOYD

Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murder in the death of George Floyd, a Black man whose death last May in police custody was captured on video that went viral and set off a summer of unrest over law enforcement’s treatment of people of color.

The anonymous jury deliberated for more than 10 hours over two days, and without asking the judge a single question, filed back into the Hennepin County Government Center on Tuesday afternoon.

However it took  televised murder from a teenagers cell phone to break the usual blue wall of silence concerning assaults against African American males. Plus the state the action happens in. Brianna Taylor’s murder wasn’t even given a trial in Kentucky.

This by no means gives the impression that there isn’t systemic racism in the united States, But it is a start to realizing we have a lot of work to do. Meanwhile my equation of common sense prevailed. Hard elbow on neck which is soft tissue for 9 minutes =murder.

Plain and simple.
