MAYBE I’M AMAZED

MAYBE I’M AMAZED……….that CNN fires Chris Cuomo but keep Jefferey Toobin. Chris put family first and of course there were consequences for that loyalty. But apparently Toobin can pleasure himself on a Zoom call and be welcomed back no harm, no foul”. Then there's CNN's logic. Cuomo devalued CNN's brand but just exactly what he did with a complex issue. But Toobin? You can explain it in a few words that will live longer in indignity of brand than Cuomo's mishaps. 

MAYBE I’M AMAZED…..that ketchup was once sold as medicine.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED……at the timeline of the Cuomo brothers. In early 2020 during the height of the pandemic, Andrew was touted as the guy who would supplant the 78 year old Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee. Chris was the ratings and political toast of the town. That was April 2020. Now, 8 months later, both lost their jobs. Fame amnd adulation is fleeting.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED…...that a bumblebee weighs less than a penny.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED……that many of my friends who love the 11^th Hour with Brian Williams are having withdrawal pains  as the host’s  last show approaches this week.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED……that Jousting is the official sport of Maryland.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED……that the Washington football team is actually going to be in contention for a bid to the super bowl. On that note, the Eagles are unpredictable  but so damn entertaining.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED…..that Alabama crushed Georgia in the SEC game last week. Keep in mind that Georgia never gave up that many points in their season lineup of games. I guess Nick Saban’s rant during Thanksgiving week helped fire up his team.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED…that pigs can get sunburned. I wonder if that affects the taste.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED……that for most people who love football get stressed out watching their favorite team play. Hey unless we are affiliated with said team, we have to go to work on Monday anyway.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED….but not really that the parents of the Michigan high school shooter seemed to enable him. How clueless. The school too. This garbage that people kill not guns is garbage. What the hell is a 15 year old kid who looks like he has a screw loose going to do with an assault weapon? Look at the timeline here. Friday, dad goes and buys the gun. Monday there is a complaint about the kid. The parents are called in. A teacher observes the kid looking to buy bullets for said gun that dad bought. Tuesday 4 people are killed. That short timeline where no one intervened  is the “what if”  tragedy. What is the dad didn’t buy the gun? What if the dad had the gun locked up? What if the school officials acted more efficiently? What if…………….4 kids with a future killed.  

MAYBE I’M AMAZED…..that the GOP wants to stop vaccinations that protect us but want to control what is between a woman and her doctor. Hypocrites.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED……that frogs never drink.

MAYBE I’M AMAZED…..that people will actually think about voting for Dr. Oz who is an anti vaccine advocate.
