PA. STATE SENATOR MASTRIANO SUBPOENAED BY JAN. 6 COMMITTEE

Making America Great gaain? By trying to tear it down? My favorite Trumpanzee candidate for Governor. May he win the nomination in May, crash and burn in November. (Photo: GoErie.com)

Pennsylvania State Senator and Republican candidate for governor Doug Mastriano has been subpoenaed by the January 6 committee over his alleged efforts to falsely declare Donald Trump the winner of the 2020 election.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the committee alleged Mastriano “was part of a plan to arrange for an “alternate” slate of electors from Pennsylvania for former President Trump and reportedly spoke with President Trump about post-election activities.”

The committee released its letter to Mastriano saying they “understand that (Mastriano was) present during the attack” and that he witnessed attacks on officers.

Based on publicly available information and information produced to the Select Committee, we believe that you have documents and information that are relevant to the Select Committee’s investigation. For example, we understand that you have knowledge of and participated in a plan to arrange for an alternate slate of electors to be presented to the President of the Senate on January 6, 2021, and we understand that you spoke with former President Trump about your post-election activities. We understand you participated in these activities based om assertions of voter fraud and other asserted irregularities and based on a stated belief that under the U.S. Constitution the “state legislature has the sole authority to direct the manner of selecting delegates to the Electoral College.” We have an interest in understanding these  activities and the theories that motivated them.”  (LuLac, Harrisburg Patriot)

 WHO’S NEGATIVE?

I think it is hysterical that members of the Republican party are now saying the Democrats are mean and too political. All they do is attack Donald Trump. What a bunch of baby snowflakes! First off it isn’t the Dems trying to over turn an election.

It isn’t the Dems who nominated a man who had no clue about government and was not willing to learn.

It wasn’t the Dems who became big babies when they lost and tried to “find” votes in Georgia.

It wasn’t the Democrats who filled Cabinet positions with right wing numbskulls who wanted to tear down government.

It wasn’t the Dems who got their supporters in a tizzy of violence and threatened the life of their own Vice President.

Now with Diaper Don being investigated, the GOP are whining “But we’re so divided and hateful”.

I know some some Trumpanzees are really stupid bastards but look in the mirror and see why we’re so damn divided.

Your lord and savior Donald Trump started that ball rolling. The only difference between Democrats and Republicans on this issue is this.

Like petulant  spoiled children…..Republicans don’t like to be called  out when they and their chosen A-hole are to blame.

CASEY: PENNSYLVANIA TO RECEIVE $25 MILLION TO EXPAND ACCESS TO ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING

FUNDING IS A RESULT OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE BILL PASSED INTO LAW LAST YEAR

Senator Bob Casey (Photo: LuLac archives)

U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that as a result of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Pennsylvania is set to receive $25 million to expand access to electric vehicle charging as part of the first-ever national electric vehicle charging network. Building out the network is a key step to make electric vehicles more accessible to all Pennsylvanians and Americans. The $25 million for FY22 is the first installment of an anticipated total of $171 million for EV charging in Pennsylvania as a result of the infrastructure law.

“One of our most important goals of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is to tackle the climate crisis by prioritizing electric and clean energy. Creating an electric vehicle charging network in Pennsylvania and across the Nation does just that,” said Senator Casey. “Thanks to the infrastructure law, we will receive $25 million this year alone to make electric vehicle charging more accessible throughout the Commonwealth.”

Money will flow through PennDOT, which is required to submit an EV Infrastructure Deployment Plan to access the funds. A second round of grant funding designed to further increase EV charging access will be made available for states, local governments, metropolitan planning organizations and other transit-focused public authorities to compete for in the coming months. These competitive awards will provide additional funds to communities to build out their EV infrastructure.

GOV. WOLF CELEBRATES EFFORT TO CLOSE DIGITAL DIVIDE IN

PENNSYLVANIA THROUGH CREATION OF PENNSYLVANIA BROADBAND

AUTHORITY

Governor Tom Wolf (Photo: LuLac archives)

Acknowledging that broadband is essential to success in the commonwealth, Governor Tom Wolf today celebrated the creation of Pennsylvania’s Broadband Development Authority, which will manage at least $100 million in federal aid to coordinate the rollout of broadband across Pennsylvania.

“Broadband is as essential today as electricity and water. But there is a digital divide in Pennsylvania,” said Gov. Wolf. “This Broadband Authority will close the divide and ensure consistent, affordable, quality statewide broadband to keep children learning, businesses growing, and opportunities abounding for all Pennsylvanians.”

In December, Gov. Wolf signed House Bill 2071 to create the Pennsylvania Broadband Authority to serve as a one stop shop for all things broadband in Pennsylvania.

“Without reliable high-speed internet, kids can’t do their homework and local businesses can’t compete,” said U.S. Senator Bob Casey. “We passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to help solve this very problem. The formation of the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority, enacted into law by Gov. Wolf, is a critical step in Pennsylvania using the hundreds of millions of dollars coming to the commonwealth for broadband thanks to the infrastructure law. With access to high-speed internet, kids can keep up in school, small businesses can reach more customers and families can stay connected. This is an investment in our communities, our children and their future.”

Pain from lack of reliable broadband is found statewide and was exacerbated over the past two years as Pennsylvanians relied on virtual means of communication, work, and learning. While rural counties are especially vulnerable, communities outside of Pennsylvania’s biggest cities are also left behind because of inaccessibility or affordability. At least 500,000 Pennsylvanians are without broadband, this lack of access slows economic growth and limits opportunity.

“It is alarming that still today, I hear the troubling stories of rural communities where internet access remains unavailable. The fact that this is still an issue plaguing rural communities in our commonwealth is simply unacceptable,” said Superintendent of Wyalusing Area School District Dr. Jason Bottiglieri, representing the Pennsylvania Association of Rural and Small Schools. “While nearly every Pennsylvanian has likely experienced a dropped cell phone call or experienced frustration with an internet outage, our rural communities deal with this every day. Imagine learning in that environment, imagine working or running a business in that environment, imagine not having access to conduct medical research, or being denied equal access to quality doctors and mental health services that can be delivered via telemedicine. We cannot allow a child’s zip code to dictate their success.”

HB2071 was championed by a bipartisan workgroup that included members of the Administration and the General Assembly. Representatives Pam Snyder and Martin Causer, and Senator John Kane joined today’s celebration.

“The creation of the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority is just the beginning step to connect millions of Pennsylvanians to high-speed internet,” Rep. Snyder said. “Now the commonwealth has a single entity that can solely focus on making sure that every resident has equal and affordable access to broadband, no matter where they live.”

“The bipartisan broadband legislation I sponsored is a game changer for our state. With the Authority in place, we will have the kind of comprehensive plan and coordinated effort we need to maximize broadband funding to rollout high-speed connectivity in every part of our state,” said Rep. Causer. “Thank you to my colleagues in the Legislature and Gov. Wolf for your support of this important legislation.”

The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority is made of an 11-member board. The board includes the secretaries of the Pennsylvania Departments of Agriculture, Community and Economic Development, Education, General Services, and Budget; the executive director for the Center for Rural Pennsylvania; chairperson from the Pennsylvania Utilities Commission; and four legislative members.

“Two months ago, we passed a historic bill to establish Pennsylvania’s Broadband Development Authority, the first entity of its kind in the history of the commonwealth. I was honored to be appointed to the board of the Authority, and I’m thrilled about the work we started at today’s meeting,” said Senator Kane. “As a commonwealth, we have the chance to make a major investment in expanding our broadband infrastructure to ensure all Pennsylvanians are covered, while creating good-paying, family-sustaining jobs in the process. I look forward to working with this bipartisan group moving forward to make sure all Pennsylvanians have access to this essential utility.”

Gov. Wolf has worked to improve broadband access throughout his administration. In 2018, the Wolf Administration launched a $35 million Pennsylvania Broadband Investment Incentive Program to expand broadband in rural areas.

In 2021, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development launched the Unserved High-Speed Broadband Funding Program to further support the deployment of high-speed broadband infrastructure to unserved areas with $10 million in funding.

The creation of the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority is a step to provide broadband access to all Pennsylvanians and put the commonwealth on a path to a brighter future.

MEDIA MATTERS

KEITH MARTIN

(Photo: Times Leader)

What I remember most about Keith Martin are two things As a young man starting  out on WDAU TV as a weatherman, then news reporter. Then when he came to WBRE TV in his first tint I remember his commitment to the Community. Martin a news reporter  to the core also was front and center for non profit agencies. He was genial, intelligent and always willing to help.

As a news anchor he was all business but had a good sense of time and place. A veteran of the Vietnam War as well, Martin ascended to the rank of Brigadier General in the Army National Guard during his time in the service. Martin also spent a portion of his career in the Rendell administration, serving as Pennsylvania’s first Homeland Security Director.

Jayne Ann Bugda told the Times Leader about a tradition at Christmas started by Martin. She also fondly spoke about one of WBRE/WYOU’s longest-running traditions, the reading of “A Night Before Christmas,” which started as a Martin idea.

Martin was an institution that turned into an iconic figure in local news. (LuLac, Times Leader)

THE AFTERNOON BUFFOON AND THE DEFAMING OF THE PRESIDENCY

When I was driving home from work the other day, I had WILK on. It was a residue of me tuning in during the Morning Show. The Afternoon Buffoon was asking people why they didn’t like or love his lord and savior Donald Trump. One person texted or called and said that Trump defamed the Presidency. On bended knee, head bowed into his microphone, the Afternoon Buffoon said that Joe Biden defamed the Presidency even mere than Diaper Don (always lying and full of shit!). Even for the afternoon Buffoon this was  but much. He then went on to say hat Biden’s program are defaming, that Biden has told more lies than Trump (ignoring the fact that his lord and savior lied 18,000 times) and then went on to talk about how Biden’s leadership is bad for America.

LMOA @ old A.B. How about this Afternoon Buffoon. Tell us EXACTLY what Biden lies about!

If he is sooooooooooooooooooooo bad for America, how about giving back those child tax credits for your passel of kids!

Send the stimulus check back if Biden is so bad.

Wednesday, the Afternoon Buffoon lamented the fact that his friends were disappointed when he interviewed President Trump and was kind t him. I have no problem with his interview. He most likely did a good job. My issue is that he has been pro Trump even after the Insurrection. I realized that when Dave from Kingston called and pointed out Trump’ issues as a President and a person. The Afteroon Buffoon deflected the call by ignoring the caller and not even debating the point. The Afternoon Buffoon is comfortable with right wing callers but God forbid if someone has to make him work to we fend his logic.

Meanwhile one of his frequent numbskull callers L, or Ell, calls ad starts on Michele Obama and Barack. Just one of his racist callers who gets airtime with no push back from the Afternoon Buffoon.,

His reaction to these callers reminds me of the lyrics of the Eagles song, “Lying Eyes”. “Did she get tired or was she lazy?”

That might be a fitting bumper song for the Afterbnoon Buffoon and what people (including fellow journalist’s referring to his radio gig,) "Did he get tired or did he get lazy?”

At a meeting in Cape Town, South African Prime Minister B. J. Vorster informed visiting Prime Minister Ian Smith of Rhodesia that the white minority government of South Africa would no longer provide troops to protect Rhodesia's white minority government. Smith, who had been reassured earlier of the Vorster government's support, said later that the decision had struck him "like a bolt from the blue". Rhodesia's government would fall in 1979, as a black majority government took power and the nation was renamed Zimbabwe……HMS Sheffield, a guided missile destroyer, was commissioned into service in the British Royal Navy. Former U.S. Attorney General John N. Mitchell, former Chief of Staff H. R. All three had been convicted in January of obstruction of justice charges in connection with the Watergate scandal. Mitchell joked with reporters about his famous wife, from whom he was separated, saying, "It could have been a hell of a lot worse. He could have sentenced me to spend the rest of my life with Martha Mitchell." …….Born: Affirmed, American thoroughbred racehorse and 1978 winner of the U.S. Triple Crown of horse racing; near Ocala, Florida …….Twenty-seven people, most of them skiers on vacation, were killed in Norway when two express trains collided between Oslo and Trondheim. The train from Oslo was running late, and failed to yield to the train from Trondheim at the station at Tretten. Among the dead was Toennes Andenaes……Daylight saving time began in the United States two months earlier than usual, as a result of a 1974 vote in Congress to amend the 1973 Emergency Year-Round Daylight Saving Time Act. In response to the 1973 energy crisis, Congress had passed emergency legislation to move clocks ahead one hour on January 6, 1974 and to leave them there until April 27, 1975, with no provision for a "fall back" to standard time in October. Following complaints, Congress voted to allow clocks to be turned back, as originally scheduled in October, albeit for only four months rather than six.[…and this week the number one song in LuLc land and America was “Get Dancing” by Monte Rock III, AKA Disco Tex and the Sexolets.

I find it amusing that Trump and his cult like to call others, like Liz Chaney, RINO.

1987 - Trump registered for the first time, at the age of 47, as a Republican in July 1987

199 Trump joins Independence Party

2001 - Trump registers as a Democrat.

2009 - Trump again registers Republican Party,

2011 - Trump chooses Nonaffiliated

2012 - Trump again goes republican

WHO IS THE RINO?
