BIDEN’S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS

President Joe Biden gave a State of the Union address that pretty much put the other ones given by Donald Trump to shame. Here are some highlights.

MUCH-HYPED D.C. TRUCKER RALLY TURNS OUT TO BE A COMPLETE JOKE

Only a handful of protesters inspired by anti-vaccine mandate trucker convoys in Canada showed up in the nation's capital Tuesday afternoon for the “Stage of Freedom” event near the Washington Monument.

Despite the initial hefty estimate that upwards of 3,000 attendees would show, only 12 rally-goers had actually assembled for the gathering just hours ahead of President Joe Biden's State of the Union address Tuesday evening.

The right-wing rally’s organizer, MMA fighter and Maryland gubernatorial hopeful Kyle Sefcik, opened the gathering—where press and police massively outnumbered protesters—by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance before launching into a lengthy speech mixing shameless self-promotion with grievances aimed at the truckers who didn’t show up.

“I wanted to see with my own eyes what people were really about,” Sefcik said. “As you see, with the millions of hits and the hundreds of thousands of people that are behind the movement, there are still not people showing up and being about it!”

Local loudmouth Bob Bolus took  bus down or two. I'm sure he'll come back to Scranton armed with Trump like lies.

WHITE TRASH REPRESENTED IN CONGRESS HEARD FROM

Congresswomen Slime ball opening up wide!

The great thing about State of the Union addresses is that it serves as a forum for our nation. A type of snapshot into who we are. All, even white trash are represented.  Laren Boobfart did her bit. And she’s damn proud of it too. Here’s what she wrote:

Every word from Joe Biden tonight in his State of the Union speech was a lie.

Ah, every word was a lie? Really? Poor little baby got her feelings hurt. Her you ex wants t show you SOMETHING!

When Biden talked about flag draped coffins I couldn't help but call him out for causing the deaths of 13 brave members of our military who lost their lives because of his gross incompetence during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Biden and his son are patriots. You’re a malicious thug pig who got lucky ad had crazy Coloradoan elect your pitiful bony face to Congress. It proves that any idiot can have luck on a given day.

We expected bad, but the #SOTU is worse than we ever could've imagined.

Not any worse than you baby doll. Puke!

Annie Howell, one of the Trump fans who went to D.C. on January 6th to stand by her  man, old Diaper Don got jail time for her participation in that event. We wish her luck because God knows her Lord and Savior had NOTHING to do with her after she laid herself on the line for the pig bastard.

The sad lesson here is that every one who touches Trump, pays a price.

THE RUSSIAN RUBLE IS NOW WORTH LESS THAN 1 CENT AS RUSSIA BOMBS UKRAINIAN CITIES AND SANCTIONS PILE UP

The ruble is now worth less than 1 cent Wednesday after Russia switched tactics to bombing Ukrainian cities. That's because Western nations and international investors have been quick to dump Russian investments. A significant discount for Russian assets will persist even if hostilities cease, a strategist said.

Russia's currency the ruble is now worth less than 1 cent after its invading forces escalated their bombing of Ukrainian cities, and the US and its allies stepped up moves to hamstring the country's trade and financial capacities.

The ruble has been in free-fall since Russia launched its attack last week. It slid further Wednesday as Ukraine said Russian paratroopers have entered its second-largest city Kharkiv, which has been under heavy artillery bombardment.

President Joe Biden banned Russian flights from US airspace Tuesday, adding to a stream of sanctions and a boycott of investments in the country imposed by the US and its allies. Biden said Russian President Vladimir Putin had "no idea what's coming."

REP. CARTWRIGHT STATEMENT ON

RUSSIA’S ATTACK ON UKRAINE

Congressman Matt Cartwright (Photo: LuLac archives)

. Representative Matt Cartwright  made the following statement on Russia’s attack on Ukraine:  “Putin’s attack on Ukraine is unjustified and will bring catastrophic loss and suffering. I stand with the people of Ukraine in condemning this act and will join my colleagues in responding in a swift and strong manner. We will hold Russia accountable.”

CARWRIGHT ON THE STATE OF THE UNION

It was an honor to be present for President Biden’s State of the Union Address yesterday. I want to share with you some of my takeaways and thoughts about what this means not just for the 2022 election, but for the country.

President Biden first highlighted bipartisan and international unity in our condemnation of the Russian war in Ukraine, and I’m proud that he is taking such decisive action to condemn not just Vladimir Putin, but the billionaire oligarchs in Russia who profit from this violent regime.

I’m looking forward to working with the White House and my colleagues to push for passing the Bipartisan Innovation Act, the Freedom to Vote Act, and the John Lewis Voting Right Act – all common sense and necessary legislation to move our country forward.

However, I was disturbed by an outburst from Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Green who chose to heckle the President when he was discussing the death of his son, Beau. We can disagree on policy. We can have vigorous debates about what we need to do to uplift American families. But what we can’t do is ignore our shared humanity – the tragedy of a parent who outlives their children is not a partisan issue.

This disheartening display only highlights how those on the furthest fringes of the right put partisan politics before all else – even basic decency.

However, President Biden went on and announced expanded Veterans Affairs coverage for respiratory cancers, something that’s very close to my heart. I’ve proudly sponsored bills this session to expand coverage to the veterans who need it, and I was joined by Retired Master Sergeant Charles Hamberger as my guest for the event.

Overall, it was a night that highlighted the things that bring us together – defending democracy here and abroad, giving back to our veterans, and fighting inflation while pushing innovation in our economy – no matter what the dissenting extremists say.

I’m ready to get back to work for the things that matter most and fight to keep my seat out of the hands of another extremist.

CASEY STATEMENT FOLLOWING STATE OF THE UNION

Senator Bob Casey (Photo: LuLac archives)

U.S. Senator Bob Casey (released the following statement today following President Biden’s State of the Union address:

“When President Biden was inaugurated last year, he inherited a sluggish economy and a deadly pandemic. Since then, our Nation has made great progress and as President Biden said tonight, the state of our union is strong. After two long years, we are finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel of the COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to President Biden’s leadership getting shots into arms, reopening schools and getting people back to work. The American Rescue Plan helped jumpstart our economy, put cash in people’s pockets and lifted millions of children out of poverty. Since President Biden took office, our economy has created an earth-shattering 7.1 million jobs. Congress then worked with President Biden to make a once-in-a-generation investment in rebuilding our Nation’s infrastructure, improving transportation across the country and expanding access to broadband and clean drinking water. These investments will spur economic growth in small towns across the Nation, and rural and urban areas alike.

“President Biden has also addressed the situation in Ukraine with solemn responsibility and the serious response it merits. He has already shown the world that the United States stands up for democracy and will continue to work with global leaders to address Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. He has rebuilt trust with allies who had grown wary of the U.S. commitment to global peace and prosperity. In part, because of that, the international community has responded to Putin’s aggression with extraordinary unity.

“As our Nation recovers, President Biden and Democrats will continue to lower costs for families and build on our strong economic recovery. We can lower the costs of goods by making more here in America and shoring up our supply chains so they reach American families faster. We can get Americans back to work by making child care more affordable and enabling seniors and people with disabilities to receive care in their own homes and remain active members of their communities. At the same time, we must raise the wages of the caregivers who provide essential care so they can support their own families. President Biden also made a strong commitment to strengthen nursing home accountability and transparency. I will continue to work with the Administration to fight for improvements in quality and safety for nursing home residents and workers across the country. The work to make our Nation more prosperous and just for all Americans is never truly over, but tonight President Biden laid out a strong and optimistic vision on how we build on the progress we’ve made. I look forward to working with him to make this vision a reality.”

GOV. WOLF URGES PLCB TO REMOVE AND STOP SELLING RUSSIAN-SOURCED PRODUCTS

Governor Tom Wolf (Photo: LuLac archives)

Gov. Tom Wolf today sent a letter to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, urging it to remove Russian-sourced products from Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores in the Commonwealth and cease selling them as quickly as possible.

“I have joined with leaders across the nation and across the world in condemning these attacks and expressing support for the people of Ukraine,” Gov. Wolf said. “I appreciate the board’s efforts to quickly identify Russian-sourced products currently being sold at Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. I urge the board to take these further actions as a show of solidarity and support for the people of Ukraine, and an expression of our collective revulsion with the unprovoked actions of the Russian state.”

MEDIA MATTERS

THE AFTERNOON BUFFOON GETS MAD!

On Wednesday afternoon,  guy named George called The Afternoon Buffoon  up. He asked old A.B. what he thought about Donald Trump saying Kim Jung un wrote beautiful letters and how Trump called Putin a genius. He asked the A.B. what he thought of that. Now the Afternoon Buffoon was shaken because it wasn’t a member of his crowd. He sputtered and aid, “The comments were were stupid but would you rather have a guy make statements Lakethe BUT protect our border?” Then he hung up because George did not genuflect in front of the Preacher man’s Lord and Savior Donald Trump? Me thinks the Afternoon Buffoon needs another pair of knee pads to show his fealty to old Diaper Don.

In the meantime (sniff, sniff) his little itty feelings were hurt and dispatched George away from his hypocritical fantasy land where everyone bows and kneels at the alter of Trump. BTW, the border protection is a GOP deflection. The A.B. called George a “looney”.

With the Afternoon buffoon and hi Trumpanzees, “ACCUSATION IS CONFESSION.
