I came cross this letter in the Times Leader from a person  who rails bout the cost of the trip President, yes DOCTOR deal with it, President Biden’s visit. This was a typical right wing rant about how much money it was to bring Biden in. How his tax dollars are going to waste with all the problems (caused by the previous President, none other than his lord ad savior Mr. Trump) and oh yes focus on the border.

There was nary a word about the thousands of dollars spent on Trump’s golf outings or the money the Se cret Service paid at a Trump owned hotel. It was more about how he was inconvenienced because of traffic. I work 2 and ½ minutes away from home but it took me a half hour. But see, I know the value of a Presidential visit. But the good Doctor just seems to want to cry a river for us while he selfishly ties to justify ire. Gee, I wonder if he had a problem when Trump came to the Arena on Saturday. Or geez when the rain backed up traffic on Route 6 on Labor Day! This letter is a good for a hypocrites,, and entitled people who feel the WORLD is theirs and blame a political party  for their little bit of misfortune. This one is good for a laugh. 

 

NEXT TIME, JOE, JUST STAY HOME

At a time when our country has multiple crises threatening our way of life (uncontrolled border, explosion of violence, inflation, loss of energy independence, loss of respect around the world, just to name a few), what is Joe Biden doing visiting Luzerne County – for a political event aimed at getting more of the kind of people who put us in this trouble elected?

I, like many locals, was trying to get home after work on Tuesday, just at the time Joe Biden was visiting Wilkes-Barre. The traffic chaos and inconvenience that man caused was unbelievable. Northbound traffic was backed up for miles and miles. Interstate Route 81 was stopped cold. All these cars and diesel trucks burning fossil fuels and emissions, idling needlessly, not to mention the fuel burned by Joe Biden’s jet, flying into Avoca – it’s green hypocrisy at it best.

Who paid for this? The FBI and its vehicles, local police and state police on alert? Answer: You the taxpayer. And for what? A political trip by the president of the USA to promote election of his favorite candidates? Shameful. Excessive. Unnecessary and unwanted.

Take a look at the people sitting behind Biden as he spoke. They all had frowns on their faces and looked unhappy to be there; but, the pay must have been good.

But, we all paid the price by getting home to our families late, spending excessive dollars on gasoline, wasting our lives sitting in traffic.

Please Joe, don’t come back.
