BIDEN’S DOCUMENTS

Editor's Note: Even with the new revelation that other documents were found in the Biden home, there is no equivalence to the Biden situation (which was forthcoming) to the  Trump wall of obstruction that went up.

Attorneys for the president found the documents as they were closing down the office he used in Washington, DC, according to Sauber. That’s an important distinction with the Trump classified document situation. Biden’s private attorneys found the documents and then notified the National Archives. For Trump, the National Archives spent more than a year pursuing documents from his time as president and pursued legal avenues all the way up to the Supreme Court.

There were fewer than a dozen documents found and Sauber said they “appear to be Obama-Biden administration records.”

For comparison, Trump refused to turn over hundreds of documents marked either secret or top secret.

Gangel and CNN’s Marshall Cohen reported Tuesday that, according to one source, the Biden documents covered topics including Ukraine, Iran and the United Kingdom.

CARTWRIGHT STATEMENT ON BEING ELECTED TO POWERFUL STEERING AND POLICY COMMITTEE

Congressman Matt Cartwright (PA-08) issued the following statement after being elected to serve on the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee, representing Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.

This will be Cartwright’s fourth consecutive, two-year term on the influential committee that shapes and implements the party’s agenda, advises the Caucus on important issues, and assigns members to committees.

“I am humbled and honored to be elected to the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee where I will continue to bring my perspective to the senior leadership team in the U.S. House of Representatives.

I look forward to working closely with my Democratic colleagues and our party’s new leadership team while reaching across the aisle to help shape a national agenda that strengthens America’s middle class, protects seniors, and supports our nation’s veterans and military families.”

First appointed to the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee in 2016, Rep. Cartwright currently serves as Co-Chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee and is a senior member of the powerful House Committee on Appropriations; Chair of the Commerce-Justice-Science Subcommittee; Vice Chair of the Financial Services & General Government Subcommittee; and a member of the Interior & Environment Appropriations Subcommittee.

As a federal legislator, he has introduced more than 150 bipartisan bills, the most of any Democratic member of Congress during his tenure.

Also on Tuesday, Rep. Cartwright congratulated Rep. Abigail Spanberger on being elected Battleground Leader for the Democratic Caucus.

“I look forward to working together and offer my full support to help strengthen and promote her efforts,” he said.

SENATOR CASEY ON ANNIVERSARY OF JANUARY 6 ATTACK

Senator Bob Casey (Photo: LuLac archives)

Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement on the 2nd anniversary of the January 6, 2021 insurrection:

“Two years ago, at the encouragement of the former President, a violent mob stormed the Capitol, attacked law enforcement officers, and tried to stop democracy in its tracks. I am forever grateful for the law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line to defend the Capitol. Without their bravery and sacrifice, it’s hard to imagine the additional horrors our Nation may have seen that day.

“In the two years since, hundreds of insurrectionists have been charged for their crimes and, through the work of the January 6th Committee, we have seen just how far the former President and his supporters were willing to go to destroy our Democracy. Though former President Trump failed that day, his legacy lives on as members of the Republican Party embraced his Big Lie and continue to sow doubt in our elections and democratic institutions. On this second anniversary, we must remain vigilant against extremism, demand accountability for those responsible for the January 6 attack, and reject anti-democratic values from political leaders.”

GOV WOLF: ENOUGH GAMES, VICTIMS ARE WAITING FOR JUSTICE

Governor Tom Wolf (Photo: LuLac archives)

Governor Tom Wolf issued the following statement today after an unsuccessful first day of a special session he called for to focus the work of the General Assembly on a proposed constitutional amendment to retroactively extend the timeline for victims of childhood sexual abuse to file civil actions:

“Yesterday, political games and partisanship in the State House—and an attempt to end mail-in voting as we know it in the Senate—took precedence over justice for survivors. It’s time to stop the games, put everything else aside, and work together to get the statute of limitations amendment on the ballot this May.

“This special session is meant to provide a mechanism to help prevent this bipartisan issue from becoming entangled with partisan topics. Last fall, we promised action to get this done. I’m asking Republican and Democratic leaders in the General Assembly to complete this vital work. Answer the call you signed up for as elected officials and public servants. Pennsylvania is waiting.”

Marilyn Monroe marries baseball player Joe DiMaggio. DiMaggio, the greatest baseball star of all time married Marilyn Monroe, Hollywood’s reigning moviestar sex goddess. They were the most famous couple in the world. After a rather tumultuous courtship, the two decided to marry in San Francisco while spending the holidays with Joe’s family.  They’d considered tying the knot for some time, and had made the decision just a few days earlier to get married on January 14.  The wedding took place at City Hall, and the ceremony was presided over by Municipal Judge Charles S. Peery.  By some estimates, hundreds of reporters gathered at City Hall to report on the nuptials.  At some point Joe presented Marilyn with a diamond eternity band, platinum, set with 35 baguette cut diamonds. The ring was part of the 1999 Christie’s auction, “The Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe,” with the catalog providing the following lot description: A platinum band, set with thirty-five baguette-cut diamonds (one diamond missing), given to Marilyn Monroe by Joe DiMaggio after their 1954 wedding. The ring sold at the auction for an incredible $772,500.00, second in price only to the Jean Luis designed dress Marilyn wore as she sang Happy Birthday to President Kennedy on May 19, 1962, which sold for $1,267,500…..and the number one song in LuLac land and America that week was “Oh My Papa” by Eddie Fisher.

President Biden is guilty of carelessness and removing classified material and storing it in a non-secure area.

While he did not try to cover it up or fight it, he still broke chains of security. If this were a military person, they would be punished. And before you tell me I'm wrong -- call me and I will give you an example of something considerably less serious than this for whom one of my fellow navy persons ended up serving time.

You don't get to have it both ways. Both Trump and Biden violated national security, and both need to be tried and if convicted receive appropriate punishment, which back when I was in was $10,000 fine and ten years residing at the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB), Fort Leavenworth.

Partisanship politics be damned. Not demanding Biden's removal from office and claiming, because of national security Trump is not qualified, is hypocritical. Both have demonstrated a disregard for protecting the nation's classified documents.

When it comes to national security there should be no partisanship. Hilary Clinton should have been prosecuted and tried for using a private server for the transmission governmental information, and both Presidents Trump and Biden should be prosecuted, tried, and if convicted, end up residing at the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB), Fort Leavenworth.

These three individuals have shown a wreckless, careless, and in the cases of both Clinton and Trump a wanton, disregard for the protection of national security documents and none have any business serving in government now or ever again. Which in the case of President Biden means he should step down from office.
