13 QUESTIONS

Our 13 Questions logo.

 1.       What was your go to snack for the Superbowl yesterday?

Chinese food from Tang's (Won Ton soup, chicken wings, boiled chicken with vegetables)  if you can believe that and Watermelon and blackberries from Schiel’s.

2.       What did you have more fun watching, the Super Bowl or the State of the Union address?

Keep in mind I’m a nerd but the State of the Union was fabulous. Biden was on the top of his game and actually put a beat down on those right-wing zealots. If anyone says to me, he is too old and incompetent, all they have to do is look at this performance.

3.       Why don’t you think Biden is not resonating with certain people who are die hard Trumpers?

I wish I knew. All those people who are Trump fans are not millionaires. If anything Biden should be their working class model. But they love a multi million dollar cheater like Trump. It is ironic that they look at Trump as a hero who hasn’t done one tangible thing (except to make them feel better about their life’s failures)   for them vs. Biden who has accomplished a plethora of things to help the middle class. I can’t understand how people can vote against their own interests.

4.       How about Biden taking on Rick Scott the Senator from Florida?

I love it! seeking to draw a sharp contrast with Scott, the architect of a plan that would sunset all federal legislation – including Social Security and Medicare – every five years and require Congress to approve them again. The president’s decision to highlight Scott’s proposal drew the fiercest reaction from Republicans during Tuesday’s address to Congress, eliciting loud jeers by accusing some Republicans of supporting changes to the popular entitlement programs. Keep in mind there is no state with a larger elderly population than Florida. They’re dumber too but that’s a discussion for another day.

5.       What do you think of Aaron Rodgers locking himself in a dark room to decide his future?

It’s certainly not what I’d do but to each his own. I’m puzzled by the fact that he is announcing it during Super Bowl week and then will miss thy game. He’s telling people about it too and to my way of thinking, if this is so personal you need solitude, why announce that you do.  He’s a strange cat.

6       6. How about Mitt Romney’s comments about George Santos saying he was a sick pup?

If anything, Romney is a traditionalist. He’s offended by Santos grabbing a plum seat to the event and expressed his dismay.  I never agreed with Romney’s policies but always thought he was a right guy.

7.       I know it’s early but how is our new Governor doing?

He’s making all the right moves. Appointing Republicans to his Cabinet and engaging well with the public and national media. Plus, he will have the advantage of a Democrat led House of Representatives.

8.       Do you have Netflix?

No, don’t have the time for what I usually watch all the time.

9.       What is your favorite classical music piece?

Oh God there are so many to choose from, but I really like Dvorak, Elgar, Chopin and Mendelssohn but piece, this is it from Bernstein.

10.   You are a clothes horse. Wear a lot of ties. What do you think of the Untuck It shirts?

I love them. Actually, I was on the hunt for the one the company’s founder used in his TV advertising. Found It and better than that, it was on sale!

11.   Are you going to do get RailRiders Tickets this year?

Only on a game to game basis this year. For me Season tickets just didn’t fit into my everyday schedule.

12.    Have you ever had heterochromia?

Nope. Both eyes are brown.

13.   Favorite PBS show this go round?

Love “All Creatures Great and Small”.On a side note, I DVRed the Docto0r Killdare series with Lew Ayers and Lionell Barrymore.
