THE BULLSHIT SOME PEOPLE SLING ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Against my better judgement, I go after people when they decide to paint a bad picture of President Biden. What is amazing to me is that these Trumpanzees believe every little bit of lies that come their way and they post it as if it were the truth. These two incidents certainly are not significant to a Presidential campaign but need to be called out to the individuals blinded by hate of their abject ignorance, stupidity and dare I say “petty mean girl” display on social media. The sad part is these are grown men who resent pretty much everything government does to help them but I bet take full advantage of any program that will help them. These are called ingrates. But on to the lies.
JILL BIDEN WAS THE BIDEN FAMILY BABY SITTER: WRONG
Newsweek reports the following:
A tweet, posted on December 4, 2022, which appears to show president Joe Biden with Jill Biden, alleges that the First Lady worked as the "Biden family babysitter" when she was 15, before the death of Joe Biden's first wife.
Here's the photo that morons believe.
There's no evidence that Jill Biden was ever Joe Biden's family babysitter, nor was she 15 when this photo was taken.
According to a White House biography, Jill Biden was born in June 1951 and met Joe Biden in June 1975 when she was 23 and he was 32.
Both Jill and Joe were married before they first met.
The president was married to his first wife Neilia from 1966 until 1972, when she died in a car crash alongside their firstborn daughter Naomi.
Jill married former college football player Bill Stevenson in 1970, divorcing him five years later.
In his 2007 autobiography Promises to Keep, the then-Vice President wrote about seeing his future wife in a series of ad campaign photos.
In his 2007 autobiography Promises to Keep, the then-Vice President wrote about seeing his future wife in a series of ad campaign photos.
Ironically it was Jill who Biden posted the photo of her and Joe on Twitter in August 2020 with the caption "'How did you get this number?' Those were the first words I spoke to Joe when he called me out of the blue on a Saturday in 1975. I'll be speaking tonight at the #DemConvention. I hope you'll tune in!" https://www.newsweek.com/does-photo-show-family-babysitter-jill-joe-biden-fact-check-1764609
Another source says the claim that the good Doctor was the Biden family sitter was FALSE. Check out this link: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/jill-biden-babysitter-joe-biden/
E. JEAN CARROLL WAS A DRUG USER: Carroll was the woman who accused Trump of sexual assault and won not only one but two defamation lawsuits. This is a new one. In combing over her written pieces for Rolling Stone and other publications there is no indication that E. Jean Carroll was EVER a drug addict or user. This comment was apparently pulled out of someone’s ass and posted on social media. Perhaps this comment needs to be reported to FB for what it is. A FALSE MADE UP LIE.
The common denominator in all of this are THESE LIES are coming from white men who have the following issues:
1.They pick on women because there has to be an innate hatred of women.
2.They feel the need to defend their manhood by standing up for a guy who disdains women and has used them ac props or objects to make him feel like a better and bigger man.
3.They get their rocks off by taking a meme and seizing on it when it belittles and defames women.
Whether it be showing a book on sale for 98 cents that Hillary Clinton wrote or spreading a proven untruth, it displays their usage of social media to contribute nothing to the dialogue this country needs.
COURT RULES TRUMP DOES NOT HAVE IMMUNITY FROM 2020 ELECTION SUBVERSION PROSECUTION
Donald Trump is not immune from prosecution for alleged crimes he committed during his presidency to reverse the 2020 election results, a federal appeals court said Tuesday.
The charges against Trump: The ruling is a major blow to Trump’s key defense thus far in the federal election subversion case brought against him by special counsel Jack Smith. Trump faces four counts from the case, including conspiring to defraud the United States and to obstruct an official proceeding, and he has pleaded not guilty.
What happens next: The appeals court has set up a very fast schedule for Trump to ask Supreme Court to block the immunity ruling, giving him until Monday to file an emergency stay request with the court.
HOUSE REJECTS PUSH TO IMPEACH HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY ALEJANDRO MAYORKAS AS BORDER FIGHT RAGES
he House rejected a GOP push to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, a significant blow to the Republicans trying to make immigration and the border a top issue heading into the 2024 elections.
The vote failed by a count of 214-216 to not impeach Mayorkas, with no Democrats supporting the move and a handful of Republicans joining them. It was always a heavy lift for House Republican leaders to push the impeachment effort through considering their razor-thin majority in the lower chamber. That means Republicans could hardly afford to lose any votes in the impeachment fight.
House Republicans voted on two articles of impeachment accusing Mayorkas of a “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” and a “breach of public trust.” Mayorkas, GOP lawmakers argue, has intentionally allowed the crisis at the border to continue.
But Democrats, a small number of House Republicans and legal experts across the political spectrum have long dismissed Republicans’ impeachment push. They say the GOP’s grievances with Mayorkas amount to nothing more than policy disagreements over how to handle the border and America's immigration system. Impeaching him, they say, would set a dangerous precedent for future impeachments.
CASEY, FETTERMAN, CARTWRIGHT, AND WILD PRESS PENNDOT AND NATIONAL PARK SERVICE TO REOPEN ROUTE 611
“THE INABILITY TO FIND A PATH FORWARD ON THE PART OF THE TWO AGENCIES HAS KEPT THE ROAD CLOSED FOR OVER A YEAR AND BECOME A BURDEN ON RESIDENTS, BUSINESSES, COMMUTERS, AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES,” THE MEMBERS WROTE IN A LETTER
Senators Fetterman and Casey
Congressman Matt Cartwright (*Photos: LuLac archives)
U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and John Fetterman (D-PA), and U.S. Representatives Matt Cartwright (D-PA-8) and Susan Wild (D-PA-7) sent a letter to National Park Service Director Charles F. Sams III and Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation Mike Carroll regarding the ongoing closure of Route 611 in Pennsylvania’s Northampton and Monroe Counties. In the letter, the members expressed frustration about how a lack of coordination between the two agencies has led to the road being closed for more than a year, and called for a compromise solution to reopen the road.
“The inability to find a path forward on the part of the two agencies has kept the road closed for over a year and become a burden on residents, businesses, commuters, and emergency vehicles that have had to follow detours around the closure,” wrote the members. “We emphasize our collective frustration over this situation and request both PennDOT and NPS come together and find a compromise that satisfies NPS’s statutory requirements, prioritizes safety, and reopens Route 611.”
The Honorable Charles F. Sams III
The Honorable Michael Carroll
Dear Director Sams and Secretary Carroll:
We write today regarding the ongoing closure of Route 611 in Northampton and Monroe Counties, Pennsylvania. This situation has been at a standstill for over a year, and we request your cooperation in seeking a solution as soon as you are able.
As you both know, Route 611 has been closed since December of 2022 after heavy rains led to a rockslide along Mount Minsi, which blocked the road. Since then, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has been advancing plans to secure the rock face and reopen the road, which requires an Emergency Special Use Permit from the National Park Service (NPS).
We understand that NPS has yet to issue this Emergency Special Use Permit, citing its obligation to adhere to requirements set forth by the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, and the U.S. Department of Transportation Act of 1966, as well as concerns with the proposed scope of work. Without the Emergency Special Use Permit, PennDOT has not been able to move forward with the planned course of action it has deemed necessary to reopen the road. The inability to find a path forward on the part of the two agencies has kept the road closed for over a year and become a burden on residents, businesses, commuters, and emergency vehicles that have had to follow detours around the closure. While we recognize the statutory limitations both parties must navigate, this impasse cannot continue. The Route 611 closure contributes to regional frustrations with government parties seeming unwilling to work together or compromise.
While we recognize the statutory limitations both parties must navigate, this impasse cannot continue. The Route 611 closure contributes to regional frustrations with government parties seeming unwilling to work together or compromise.
To that end, we emphasize our collective frustration over this situation and request both PennDOT and NPS come together and find a compromise that satisfies NPS’s statutory requirements, prioritizes safety, and reopens Route 611. Thank you for your attention to this issue. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out to our respective offices.
Sincerely,
Senators Fetterman and Casey
Congressman Matt Cartwright
CASEY ENDORSES EMERGENCY FUNDING BILL TO SECURE BORDER, PROTECT NATIONAL SECURITY
BIPARTISAN BILL INCLUDES FEND OFF FENTANYL ACT AND KEY PROVISIONS OF CASEY’S STOP FENTANYL AT THE BORDER ACT
Senator Bob Casey (LuLac archives)
U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) endorsed the bipartisan emergency border and national security funding bill released last night by his Senate colleagues.
“This bipartisan bill provides critical steps towards securing our southern border, stopping fentanyl from coming into our Nation and destroying Pennsylvania communities, and cracking down on the transnational criminal organizations in the fentanyl supply chain. It also provides key assistance to Ukraine in the war against Vladimir Putin and to Israel as it works to defeat Hamas, while providing much-needed humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, and around the world. I urge my colleagues in both the Senate and House of Representatives to put politics aside and pass this bill quickly. Our border and our national security are too important to not get this done.”
The emergency supplemental spending bill includes funding to secure the southwest border by hiring additional border patrol agents and funding additional border security inspection technology and equipment to detect and stop fentanyl that is flowing into the United States through official ports of entry along the southwest border—provisions also included in Senator Casey’s Stop Fentanyl at the Border Act. The bill also includes the Fentanyl Eradication and Narcotics Deterrence (FEND) Off Fentanyl Act. Casey has been traveling around Pennsylvania meeting with law enforcement and families of victims of fentanyl overdoses as he pushes for passage of both bills. The emergency bill also makes policy changes to streamline the asylum process and make it more orderly and increase the number of employment and family-based visas. The legislation also creates a pathway to residency for our Afghan allies who fought alongside U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.
The bill also provides much-needed support to Ukraine as it fights back against Vladimir Putin’s brutal invasion and assistance to Israel in its war against terrorist group Hamas. Additionally, the bill provides billions of dollars in humanitarian assistance to provide food, water, shelter, medical care, and other essential services to civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, Ukraine, and others caught in conflict zones around the world.
GOVERNOR JOSH SHAPIRO OPENS APPLICATION FOR HISTORICALLY DISADVANTAGED BUSINESSES TO ACCESS $10.5 MILLION IN ELIGIBLE FUNDING
ELIGIBLE SMALL DIVERSE BUSINESSES CAN APPLY FOR FUNDING GRANTS TO ASSIST WITH WORKING CAPITAL, INVENTORY, EQUIPMENT, MARKETING, AND COSTS TO SUPPORT ONGOING OPERATIONS

Governor Josh Shapiro is delivering on a major budget priority, opening the application window for small diverse businesses across the Commonwealth to apply for a total of $10.5 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
Grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 will be awarded to historically disadvantaged businesses that were in operation on or before March 17, 2020, and were impacted economically by COVID-19. All applications submitted between February 5 and February 23, 2024, will be considered for funding.
“Since day one, I have advocated for long-overdue funding for women and minority-owned businesses across this Commonwealth, to support their growth and open new doors of opportunity. Today, we make good on that promise,” said Governor Josh Shapiro. “I want every business owner to know that my Administration values what you bring to the table, and that we are committed to breaking down barriers to progress and helping you build generational wealth. In Pennsylvania, we are open for business – and we are working to build a Commonwealth where everyone can find and capitalize on real opportunities to grow and thrive.”
The Pennsylvania Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Network will manage the funding grant awards to historically disadvantaged small businesses, which are defined through this program as minority businesses generating annual revenues of $1 million or less and employing fewer than 25 full-time equivalent employees.
Additional program priorities are in place for small businesses located within low-income census tracts, high-crime municipalities, and are located in the following designated areas: Commercial Corridors (Philadelphia), Neighborhood Business Districts (Pittsburgh), Allegheny Together Communities (Allegheny County) and active Main Street Program areas (statewide).
“Pennsylvania is open for business and the Shapiro Administration is committed to making sure that everyone has the same opportunities for success,” said Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger. “It’s vital to support small, minority-owned businesses because when they succeed, communities thrive, and Pennsylvania’s economy grows.”
These ARPA grant funds may be used for, but are not limited to: working capital, inventory, equipment, safety and security equipment, marketing, and costs to support the ongoing operation of the business.
“I’m pleased to see the application window open for a new round of historically disadvantaged business grants,” said Senator Vince Hughes. “Senate Democrats and I worked hard with other lawmakers to launch this program during the pandemic and the continued investment of $20 million will support minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses in Pennsylvania. This investment is going directly into the hands of hard working small businesses like barbershops and beauty salons, who have historically faced more barriers to business growth and success than their peers.”
An additional $8.5 million in ARPA funding will be provided for technical assistance and business development through the CDFIs and other partner organizations.
“The negative economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic consistently persists for small businesses, particularly in our low to moderate income communities across Pennsylvania,” said Varsovia Fernandez, CEO, PA CDFI Network. “Historically disadvantaged small business grants and technical assistance services will help unleash the potential of black and brown businesses to build a more equitable and inclusive economy by improving cash flow and stabilizing the foundation to invest and grow. Teaming up with Senator Hughes and Governor Shapiro to make these funds available strengthens our partnership with the Shapiro Administration to help small businesses thrive across the Commonwealth.”
Before beginning an application, potential applicants should visit the PA CDFI Network’s program landing page to review the program guidelines, connect with technical assistance partners, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and the link to submit an application.
Funding for historically disadvantaged businesses has traditionally been provided in Pennsylvania through federal programs like ARPA. Recognizing the importance of investing in the Commonwealth’s small minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses, Governor Shapiro successfully secured first-time state funding for the Historically Disadvantaged Business program in the 2023-24 budget. The new state-funded Historically Disadvantaged Business program will open this year.
