DEMS TO HOLD EVENT

SATURDAY

 JIMMY KIMELL RETURNS

U.S. PRESIDENT

THE SKUNK AT

THE U.N. GARDEN PARTY

President Trump took his grievance tour to the world Tuesday  with ignorance and pettiness. The ungraceful presentation included the baby man complaining about a bad escalator and teleprompter  when he was at the U.N. The way Trump spoke was a disgrace to the United States. For him to lecture United Nation leaders with his blabber was laughable but sad at the same time.

Trump’s UN speech: US President Donald Trump lambasted the United Nations and countries around the world during an nearly hour-long speech today at the UN General Assembly.

• What he said: Trump admonished the UN over what he views as its ineffectiveness. He said some countries “are going to hell” over their immigration policies, and he blasted climate change as “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.”

• Global conflicts: Meanwhile, as a growing number of countries have recognized a Palestinian state, Trump framed it as a “reward” for Hamas. On Ukraine, the US leader criticized European countries for not ending their purchases of Russian oil. Trump also said he believes NATO member countries should shoot down Russian aircraft if they enter their airspace.

We as a nation are sick and tired of the performance art. The utter contempt for respect for all races, humans and nations. If he thinks he’s special, HE’S WRONG.

With foreign leaders, you can’t throw shit up in the air and expect it to land as roses.

EDITOR’S NOTE: I am putting this entire speech up for you to see how far we’ve gone in terms of class, dignity and leadership.

TRUMP EULOGY

NO FRIEND

TO CHARLIE KIRK

Donald Trump in my estimation insulted the memory and work of Charie Kirk. There were places where he did well but you don’t do the following:

1.    You don’t litigate your own election loss at a funeral.

2.    You don’t talk about how well you as a leader are doing.

3.    You don’t talk about what you are doing the next day in your office.

4.    You don’t denigrate your political foes by name calling.

5.    You don’t disagree and steal the thunder of grieving widow.

There is a reason why Trump never got invited to the funerals of John McCain and George Bush 41. There is a reason why when he does get invited, he is not given that opportunity.

On Kirk, his remarks should have focused on the deceased. Instead, he rambled on and on like a drunk uncle at a christening. While his devotees cheered him, the rest of the country were appalled at his lack of grace.

TRUMP BORDER CZAR HOMAN ‘NEVER TOOK THE $50,000’ CASH, WHITE HOUSE INSISTS OF ALLEGED ‘VIDEOTAPED’ BRIBE IN CAVA TAKEOUT BAG

HOMAN WAS ALLEGED TO HAVE ACCEPTED THE CASH FROM FBI AGENTS POSING AS BUSINESSMEN, PURPORTEDLY IN EXCHANGE FOR HELP ARRANGING FEDERAL CONTRACTS

The White House on Monday strenuously denied that Trump administration border czar Tom Homan took an alleged $50,000 bribe he was reportedly caught on tape accepting from undercover FBI agents as part of an anti-corruption investigation last year.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about the allegations against Homan, who according to The New York Times was handed the stack of cash — concealed in a takeout bag from the Cava fast casual chain — by the FBI agents during a meeting in September of last year. The Times reported that the DOJ under Trump shut down the investigation.

MSNBC reported separately that the alleged handoff was recorded on multiple hidden cameras. But Leavitt flatly denied Homan had done any of it.  The White House border czar Tom Homan, called reports he took a bribe “bull—-” Saturday evening in response to a question from NewsNation about the allegations.

The reaction came after reports surfaced alleging he took a $50,000 bribe from undercover FBI agents posing as businessmen in November to help get government contracts awarded if Donald Trump were elected president. MSNBC and the New York Times reported the allegation.

Homan, tough guy turned into Snowflake whiner when he talked about all the sacrifices he was making in his government job. But yet on Fox he never denied taking it. Homen is just another thug in the Trump orbit of crime and crap.

OUTGOING NYC CARDINAL DOLAN FACES UNPRECEDENTED CATHOLIC BACKLASH AFTER COMPARING KIRK TO ST. PAUL

Cardinal Timothy Dolan shocked many Catholics when he hailed the late Charlie Kirk as “a modern-day St. Paul” on national television this week.

The New York archbishop praised Kirk — a 31-year-old conservative activist shot dead last week — as “a missionary, an evangelist, [and] a hero”

For an American cardinal to compare Kirk to one of Christianity’s greatest saints has prompted fierce pushback from clergy and laity alike.

Indeed, many faithful are appalled that Dolan would elevate Kirk to saintly status, given Kirk’s divisive and hateful track record. Kirk built his brand on incendiary rhetoric at odds with Catholic social teaching.

Dolan’s effusive eulogy stands in stark contrast to the Vatican’s response. Pope Leo XIV, far from lionizing Kirk, reacted with prayer and concern rather than praise.

While the pope hasn’t commented directly on Kirk’s assasination (which has angered some in MAGA world), the Holy See Press Office confirmed that the pope is “holding Charlie Kirk and his family in prayer,” and that he “expressed concern about political violence” while urging people to “refrain from rhetoric and instrumentalization that lead to polarization rather than dialogue.”

This measured response from the pontiff only highlights how inappropriate Cardinal Dolan’s St. Paul comparison truly is.

Catholics are left in dismay, wondering how any church leader could see a man who sowed so much division as a latter-day Paul.

Cardinal Dolan submitted his obligatory retirement letter to Pope Francis earlier this year on his 75th birthday, and Pope Leo is expected to pick his replacement in the months ahead.

BRESNAHAN ANNOUNCES $507K FOR LUZERNE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE NURSING PROGRAM

Representative Rob Bresnehan (Photo: LuLac archives)

U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr.  announced that Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) has been awarded a $507,318 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to help grow its nursing program.

This funding comes from the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention – Workforce Expansion Program, a federal initiative aimed at training more nurses to meet the country’s growing healthcare needs.

“Investing in our nursing workforce is an investment in the future of healthcare in our region,” said Rep. Bresnahan. “With high job placement rates and strong partnerships across the region, Luzerne County Community College has a proven track record of preparing students for successful careers in nursing. This grant will allow them to expand that impact, and I’m proud to support their efforts to ensure every community in our district has access to high-quality care.”

LCCC will use the funding to increase enrollment, upgrade training equipment, and support students as they prepare for jobs in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings.

“We are extremely grateful to Congressman Rob Bresnahan for his effective and unwavering advocacy for federal funding to support the expansion of the college’s celebrated nursing program,” said John Yudichak, President of Luzerne County Community College. “Nursing is a high demand, high wage profession, and LCCC is committed to using the $507,318 grant from the federal Workforce Expansion Program to educate and train more nurses to meet the growing health care needs of Northeastern Pennsylvania.”

GOVERNOR SHAPIRO HONORS THREE FALLEN HEROES WITH THE 2025 KEYSTONE FIRST RESPONDER AWARD

Governor Josh Shapiro presented the 2025 Keystone First Responder Award to the surviving families of three Pennsylvania heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty. The ceremony, held at the Governor's Residence, marked the second annual presentation of the award created by bipartisan legislation signed by Governor Shapiro last year.

The Keystone First Responder Award recognizes first responders who have suffered fatal or career-ending injuries while serving their communities, honoring their bravery, sacrifice, and commitment to public safety.

"Pennsylvanians who put on the uniform and run towards danger to keep our communities safe represent the very best of our Commonwealth," said Governor Shapiro. "We owe these heroes and their families a debt of gratitude that can never truly be repaid - but today we honor their sacrifice, remember their courage, and reaffirm our commitment to always stand with Pennsylvania's first responders, law enforcement officers, and their loved ones. These heroes displayed incredible bravery and professionalism, dedicating themselves to keeping others safe - and their courage, selflessness, and commitment to community will continue to inspire us for years to come."

THE LULAC TIME MACHINE

February 1960

JACK PAAR STORMS OUT

The recent censure of Jimmy Kimell and Stephen Colbert is not the first time a late-night host’s show was vacated. The difference though between then and now is that Jack Paar in 1960 stormed off his show. It was pre-recorded but NBC ran the show anyway that night in February with a disclaimer.  In 1960, Paar was the host, and during the taping of the Feb. 11 show, he suddenly walked off the set, leaving fans confused.

He later confirmed that a censorship issue by the network had caused him to get upset and walk off. NBC had cut a joke about a “water closet” from the previous night’s show. Viewers heard his outburst about NBC and its censorship when they tuned in, and some thought it was actually part of the show.

The Associated Press said, “The studio audience was stunned. Some spectators, thinking it was part of the program, broke into applause, others shouted protest against Paar’s departure.”

Announcer Hugh Downs took over the episode and, according to reports, did a great job. At the time, Downs also defended Paar.  “He did not do this for effect,” he shared. “I would like to think that it’s not final, that he will be back.” Paar ended up taking a month off, citing that he needed to rest, and negotiated with NBC about his return. Eventually, he did return on March 7, 1960, and stayed until his contract expired in 1962.

During his return episode, he apologized to viewers about his outburs. “When I walked off, I said there must be a better way of making a living,” he shared. “Well, I’ve looked, and there isn’t. Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like Radio City. Leaving the show was a childish and perhaps emotional thing. I have been guilty of such action in the past and will perhaps be again. I’m totally unable to hide what I feel. It is not an asset in show business. But I shall do the best I can to amuse and entertain you and let other people speak freely, as I have in the past.”

Paar later left the Tonight Show of his own volition in 1962 but then later returned to Late Night TV for a monthly 5 day stint in 1973 when ABC tried their hand at competing with Paar’s successor Johnny Carson..plus this week in 1980 the number one song in LuLac land and America was “Where Or When” by Dion and the Belmonts.
