1.               LuLac at 20 years. Congrats.  What is the secret to your longevity?

 

Showing up. Making the effort. Using time wisely. Not trying to reinvent the wheel. Know my place in the media food chain. Listening to people. Not taking myself too seriously. Being flexible.

 

2.               Why is Governor Shapiro getting such blowback for his repairs to the mansion?  After all, he was nearly killed with his family!

The Republican party of lies know they are going to lose this election and are grasping at straws. It is part of the mean methods of their way of campaigning  and governing.  When one of them gets attacked, it’s the end of the world and they tend to blame everyone. Better put, as my dad used to say, “They’d rather see a hearse in your driveway rather than a Cadilac”

 

3.               Walter Griffith recently went on Facebook and asked his fellow Republicans to unite behind the winner of the primary races. Will they listen to him?

I hope they do but given the past history of Luzerne County MAGAs vs. normal Republicans, I’m expecting litigation.

 

4.               What did you think about Sherrod Brown running to regain his old Senate seat in Ohio and should Bob Casey follow suite to go after Jon Fetterman?

Brown was the victim of ingrate Ohioans who forgot where they came from. I think given the climate he’ll have a good chance in November. I would love to see Casey take a shot at it again but if Connor Lamb decides to run, a three-way race might not be good for the party here in Pennsylvania.

 

5.               Don Mattingly seems to be doing well as the manager of the Phillies but I think Rob Thompson got a raw deal. You?

I agree. It wasn’t as if he didn’t win for them.

 

6.               How did you celebrate Cinco De Mayo?

I put on Herb Alphert’s  “Casino Royale” song, took a big ass spoonful of Pace Salsa (a Campbell’s product) gulped that down straight. That was it. Actually, the real Mexican is September 16^th.

 

7.               What do you think about the Dire Straights band coming to the Square in Wilkes-Barre this summer?

Personally, I can’t wait. Those concerts are fun, orderly and bring people together. And “Harry doesn’t mind if he doesn’t make the scene, he has a daytime job and is doing all right!”

 

8.               What did you think about CNN’s Scott Jennings being called a dick?

I disagreed. He is a self-righteous brain washed right-wing ingrate who would make a great press secretary for Trump. He lies…..but does so pleasantly and those are the worst kind.

 

9.               Is the cost of fertilizer the main impact of pain for farmers?

 

That and Diesel fuel which since the war started  increased by about 48% since the start of the war — a backbreaker for U.S. farmers facing the most widespread spring drought on record. I hope these mostly conservative farmers who voted for him realize that they elected a fool that is screwing them in every shape and form.

 

10.        I have a question. Who do you think are the upcoming female anchors?

I really like Rampell’s style on MS Now. I think she’s insightful and asks probing questions. She’s had a varied career for someone so young and seems to have a great future.  

 

11.        I heard you do some memories on radio for WVIA TV’ 60^th year. Will we hear more?

 

I was asked to do some memories and I submitted 4 so I guess so. It was a great part of my young professional life that I will always remember fondly. 

 

12.        Crazy question but favorite cake?

Tied. Lemon or   vanilla/chocolate swirl both with a kick ass icing.

 

13.        How about those Knicks. Excited?

Not just yet. Cautiously optimistic.
