The LuLac Edition #780, Apr. 11th, 2009

PHOTO INDEX: WLTN TV'S L.A. TARONE AND THE SCALES OF JUSTICE.

FORUM IN 2 WEEKS

The LuLac Political Letter Judicial Forum is in just two weeks. On Sunday April the 26th from 2 to 5PM at Genetti's in Wilkes Barre, candidates running for Luzerne County Common Pleas Judge will be on hand to introduce themselves and take questions. Admission is free. So far we have had 12 responses to the letter we sent out last month. We are also pleased to announce that WLYN News Director, and long time newspaper man and broadcaster L.A. Tarone has agreed to moderate the forum. Tarone also hosted a weekly show on WLYN TV. RSVP for candidates is April 18th.

ANOTHER FORUM

The LuLac Political Letter will also host a forum in May for candidates running for Luzerne County Controller. Details to follow after we sent out the invites.

PPTN CUTS

The Pennsylvania Public Television Network has been slashed by the Rendell administration. The cuts might even mean some Public TV outlets in the state might go dark. This is a shame and my cheesesteak gobbling bud, Governor Ed, should know better. Maybe if the overfed State Legislative leaders raided their own political slush funds, there might not be a funding problem.

WHERE'S THE MONEY
?

I'm in no way a big fan of country music but I came across this video on the net over the weekend by John Rich. It asks a lot of questions. Too bad we can't get answers.

May the blessing of the benevolent Bishop Martino be with all Catholics in compliance with his dictates this Easter. The rest of ya can go to Hell!
Happy Easter Holiday to all.

ERIC SHEINER FROM WYOU WAS ORIGINALLY TABBED BUT BECAUSE OF THE RECENT EVENTS AT THE STATION, WE BOTH MUTUALLY AGREED THAT HIS SCHEDULE SHOULD BE FREE FOR HIM TO PURSUE OTHER CAREER AVENUES. L.A. TARONE GRACIOUSLY ACCEPTED.
