NOT A DONE DEAL

So if you think the State Budget is a done deal now that the Governor signed Senate Bill 850, think again. So don’t go patting your State Legislators on the back for a job they were supposed to do by July 1rst. In the next few weeks if there isn’t an agreement, statewide services that you as taxpayers take for granted are going to be slashed. The Governor is doing a line item veto on the following:
$8.7 billion for public education,
$1 billion for county child welfare,
$504 million for the State System of Higher Education,
$37 million for public libraries,
$14.8 million for autism intervention and services,
$39.3 million for hospitals,
$386 million in Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency grants to students,
$288 million in money for the Legislature,
$236 million for community colleges,
$43.2 million for Pre-K Counts,
$19.7 million for Head Start Supplemental assistance,
$7.1 million for rape crisis programs.
When your child can’t get a student loan, libraries cut their hours, more sick kids infect yours in school because they don’t have access to medical services and hospitals start to lay off staff, remember the tax crazies in the state who said, “Don’cha raze my taxes, I get nuthin’ for my money!” The Legislators being the self preserving worry worts that they are caved in. There is a cut of 288 million dollars for the Legislature. It’s how they run their offices and collect their pay. But don’t worry, they have to dip into their reserve fund of over 150 million and boy are they pissed at Governor Ed about that. See they have a reserve fund just in case, the rape crisis center though that might counsel a friend, wife, girl friend, child, mother or grandmother that gets brutally raped has no reserve fund. This is Pennsylvania so that sounds right.

Hillary Clinton promised a Kenyan man to pass along his ''very kind offer'' of 40 goats and 20 cows for her daughter Chelsea Clinton's hand in marriage. Godwin Kipkemoi Chepkurgor, a man of modest means, originally made the offer in a letter to Bill Clinton when all three Clintons traveled to Africa in 2000. He has not given up hope, telling CNN, "I've waited for a long time. I'm still waiting to meet her and express my love for her." But Chepkurgor may be running out of time, as rumors abound that Chelsea, 29, is marrying her boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky at the end of August on Martha's Vineyard. Hillary Clinton has repeatedly denied rumors that her daughter plans to get married this summer.Yeah, just what the Clintons need, they get beat by a guy with roots in Kenya and now they have a guy from there who wants to be their son in law!
