The LuLac Edition #1224, June 30th, 2010

PHOTO INDEX: STEEPLE OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH IN PITTSTON.

TWO YEARS AGO

St. John the Baptist Church had its last Mass and closed its doors.
Less than 16 months later, the Church and its surrounding buildings were leveled to the ground. I have formed a FaceBook group to preserve the heritage and memory.

Then beat away! It's also a guy thing. We don't let anything go, till we get everyone so pissed at us (especially wives) that they're ready to throw us out the damn door!

Yonk,

Ever think that closing the institutions that bind us as a community (dare I say "nation") is an insidious way of actually dividing us?

Just asking.

the Beat Goes On...

Dont apologize. This is the land of the beaten dead horse! The broken promiseland and nobody is ever held accountable. The effort to save some memory of a treasured community institution is commendable. Beat on...
