The LuLac Edition #1423, Jan. 2nd, 2011

PHOTO INDEX: FORMER SAN FRANCISCO MAYOR GAVIN NEWSOM.

NEW START

In New York State, Andrew Cuomo becomes the new Governor of New York. Amidst friends among family (his dad the former Governor was there) Cuomo promised an austere administration in the Empire State. There would be no big celebrations or balls. Low key all the way. If Cuomo happens to keep his liberal bonafides and still reduce spending, he’ll be a force to reckon with nationally in a few years.

A HEART BEAT AWAY

Gavin Newsom is no longer the Mayor of San Francisco. The guy who made gay marriage ceremonies as normal as buying a latte has moved on. If you think the conservatives in the Golden State can relax, well they can’t. Newsom is the new Lt. Governor of California, a heartbeat away from the 70 plus Jerry Brown. I’ve visited California a few times and all I have to say is “you gotta love ‘em”!

THE NEW YEAR’S SCROOGE

Okay, I’m going to do it. First though a few disclaimers. I love babies, respect human life, have nothing against women having babies. But when the New Year rolled around WBRE did a news story about the first baby of 2011. Shot of mom, shot of big brother, shot of proud grandpa holding the baby. Monica Madega then went to the room of the last baby born in 2010. Proud mom, proud sis, beautiful baby. At the risk of sounding like a judgemental, old fart, moralist, hypocrite, baby hating, family hating, politically incorrect mean old nasty blowhard, I have to ask the question in both cases, “Where was dad?”

Gotta love moral judgements from a guy who thought his wedding vows said, "and to take all others."

Moreso, why does the media insist on giving coverage to these "women" who wear this as a badge of honor...you are not the scrooge because they got "screwged"

Hey 8:09AM: The Yonk was certainly a bit of a scoundrel at some points but let's look at the Clinton Gore model. Clinton passed the biggest welfare reform bill that made people, wed and un wed work. Now he had his shortcoming but he's still married to Hillary. Yonk's sainted Al Gore booked out on his wife of 40 years to find himself. Expressing an opinion should not get one slammed for something where he readily admits he was wrong.

At the absolute heart of the problems within our country is the break up of the family and women alone raising children. Some do a great job and do it while working and on their own, but thats a small percentage. Kids need two parents to get a fair shot. They also deserve a decent meal every day and a bed in a safe place. As a society we could and should find a way to accomplish the latter two, but handling the first is a different story.
Your attitude on this has been consistent and on target. Strange how something so right could be politically incorrect.

Sex Ed has been taught in isolation.

Teaching the mechanics in the absence of consequences (ethical, moral, social, etc) has always been a questionable practice.

We have been stripped of making behavioral value judgments and given carte blanche acceptance to any rationalization.

Your point is well taken but remember the bio-dads have every right to be there.

My question is: why weren't they?

We have sex ed in schools.
We have AIDS awareness on MTV.
We have use condom campaigns on the news.

Yet, there are still unplanned births.

I don't care who sleeps with whom or how many sex partners one has. I like variety, I am promiscuous and I use protection. I have never had a pregnancy scare nor STD.

The problem is the ones reproducing are fucking idiots. They are stupid leaches that get welfare benefits for getting knocked up over and over and over again.

Check out the movie Idiocracy to see where we are headed.
