PHOTO INDEX: OUR "TAPPED OUT" LOGO AND CONGRESSMAN ANTHONY WEINER'S STERNUM.

DIOCESAN DEADBEATS

So the Diocese of Scranton closes all these churches, most of which were Eastern European ethnic communities like Polish, Slovak and Lithuanian. They disrupt the spiritual lives of parishioners who ancestors scraped and scrimped so they could have their own parish. They promise us that the traditions of those churches will be blended into the new parishes and that those houses of worship will never be forgotten. Some they tore down like St. John the Baptist in Pittston (now a parking lot) and St. Mark’s in Inkerman. (Now a vacant field). So after getting these churches out of the way, the dummies in the Diocese find out that in tough economic times these structures are tough to sell. They of course do the great American thing, don’t pay the taxes on the properties. Luzerne county is owed $224,000 by the deadbeat Diocese of Scranton. The buildings sit vacant and the bills keep on piling up. I guess it would make too much sense to have kept the churches open. In the meantime the Diocese will appeal. I predict that in twenty years the Diocese will be asking for money to rebuild new churches due to an increase in the Hispanic population. Then after a short time, they can wipe out and destroy those ethnic traditions in the name of the holy dollar.

WHAT A WEINER!

This guy, Congressman Anthony Weiner from Brooklyn had too much time on his hands. I laugh when I hear these politicians say they are on call 24/7 and that their job is so hard. What is astounding to me is how this guy could could be stupid enough to text, sexed, twittered, flittered, whatever the hell he was doing on a social network page. And to send photos of your exposed body is really bad form for just any citizen but certifiably insane for a politician. These modern day politicians have such vanity and ego problems that it has put political black mailers out of business!!!
First he lied, then he involved the other women he was inflicting himself on, then he got his wife in the conversational mix and then he resorted to the old politico trick of crying. There are also reports that the recently married Congressman talked dirty for over an hour from his House office to a woman from the west. When she, and God I hate to even put it this way, when she star sixty nined the line, it came back as a Congressional governmental number from Capitol Hill. An hour? Well he is a Congressman and they tend to get long winded even if the words are of the 4 letter variety. He was a good spokesman for the liberal wing of the party. He had good ideas and defended the Obama administration eloquently and intelligently. But because of this no one will ever seriously listen to the guy again. And that is the real shame here. In the meantime, all of the oxygen is sucked out of the political debate chambers with reactions and comments about his state of mind. He was reckless, foolish and arrogant. Congressional leaders should get him to resign and let him e mail his bare chest to the world if he wants to but for Christ’s sake let him do it on his own time. Maybe if his parents changed their name to Wine or White this might not have happened.

SANTORUM A GO

Rick Santorum announced today he is running for President. Santorum was a Senator from Pennsylvania for a dozen years. A conservative Republican he can corner the Religious Right market of the GOP recently made vacant by the refusal of Mike Huckabee to enter the race. Santorum can be an attractive candidate to that constituency plus he has the gravitas and experience to pull it off. His main competition for that wing of the party will be Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin. He does have some baggage (like losing to Bob Casey by 17 points and getting involved in the Terry Shiavo case) but he can tap dance around those problems like David Blight used to do on TV Sunday afternoons. Santorum is articulate, is a good debater, has a good ethnic story to tell without appearing to be too ethnic for middle American GOP reactionaries and can hold his own on policy issues. He also can prove to be a very good attack dog on the policies of the Obama administration. Any Presidential candidacy is a long shot but Rick Santorum just might be the alternative to a Romney saddled with his health care plan, an untested Tim Pawlenty and the unpredictability of a Michelle Bachman or Sarah Palin candidacy. If he doesn’t run out of money, keeps his family values base, keeps his shirt on and stays off Twitter, he has a good a shot as anyone. And then put a southern woman on the ticket for the General and who knows! Stranger things have happened.

Good old Rick has found it difficult to earn a living so he runs for president. I for one won't forget that he had his kids in a VA school and demanded that the local school district pay their expenses which was big bucks. I won't forget that the home address he listed was a vacant house. I won't forget that he said that homosexuality was one step away from bestiality. Oh yeah, he has a great chance to be president. But one little reminder, Rick Santorum was one of the very first Reublicans to talk about dumping Social Security in favor of private stock market investments and he was also againsts Medicare. Now I wonder if he has the balz to deny any of his previous positions?

Does anyone out there have a big pair of pliers so we can pull the bug out of Yonki's ass? Here we go again with the churches being closed. (Beating a dead horse syndrome). Not paying taxes is the American way any more. Yeah, let's keep all those empty churches open, that makes as much sense as not paying their taxes on them. As far as twenty years goes, I wouldn't be surprised is there is no more Catholic church around, or Protestant for that matter. They're all going to go bankrupt. Sorry bucko, it's just the way things are.
Personally I think we should take up a fund to build your damn St. John's back up so you'll just shut up and be happy (If that's possible). If it was still here, you wouldn't be patronizing it anyhoo. It's easy to bitch after the fact.
Whew... as Bobby Vinton so elegantly sang. "There I said it again."

I am not surprised by Mr. Weiner's lack of morality.
Students, we must understand that all liberal politicians are fed by ego and perverse leanings.
If we have learned anything from MR.Weiner's behavior, it is that a life free of love of God and a moral purpose is a life doomed to failure---no matter how powerful one may be.
Many Republican politicians hold high moral standards and have no need for the silliness that is the cyber or pornographic world.
If there is one piece of advice I could give to Mr. Weiner it would be to ask God's forgiveness and resign his office. Sincere repentance is always guaranteed a fresh new start...even for liberals.
Class Dismissed!!!!

Hey prtofessor, let's not forget about the divorces of all the GOP pretenders to the Presidential throne. And how about that guy from Florida who was folling around with the male pages in the 2006 election? Perversions can cross all party lines. Yonk makes the point that this guy was wasting tax payers money and a lot of time that might have helped the people he served.

Ammo for WILK's cannons and small arms aplenty local and national.
Will anyone in NEPA other than Sue Henry pay any attention to Rick Santorum? She always seemed to be under his spell. Too bad Weiner knocked him off the media with his antics. GOP or Democrat, ones as bad as the other theses days.
Kudos to Corbett for getting on camera as usual at the opening of the trial.
Sue will be around awhile. Corbett will eventually self destruct.
I wish you were on the radio at least once a week to give objective everyman analysis. Any chance?
Stay tuned.

This so called professor character is beginning to make me sick. He spouts pure BS and talks about Liberals like they have a moral problem. I think he should take his own advice that he throws on Poor Richard and do some research. If he did,he would find that his Conservative friends are as morally bankrupt as possible. Tapping feet on the airport bathroom, emailing Congressional pages with "hot" emails, having affairs while the wife is dying ala Newt Gingrich. There have been dozen of perverted Republican Conservatives in the past dozen years and this jerk has the balls to give us a lecture. I am now formally joining with Poor Richard on demanding that the BS Professor tell us what kind of health care he has and who is paying for it. I really do want to know if he is on Medicare or will apply for it. Fess up phony ...er..... I mean professor.

I'll take ten Congressman Wieners to one war criminal pair Bush and Cheney. These sanctimonious BS artists are a sign of a decaying society. Them and the entire GOP.

Hey 6:42AM, good comment. Yonk will have us believe he is a free wheeling liberal but the guy is to the right of even many staid conservatives. Drug testing for welfare people? The Guv of Florida had to get that idea from LuLac! And while we're on St. John's, there is no making sense with him on this issue. You think Michael Corleone had family issues with his fantasy ties back to Italy? If Yonk could change the history books, he's have the Slovaks coming over on the Mayfair. You have to hand it to the guy though, he says he's a better Roman Catholic than he is a Christian. And I believe it.
