MARINO A GAS BAG????

I’m sure politicians have been called worse but 10th District Congressman Tom Marino has opened up a can of worms on his website regarding fuel prices. He has a ridiculous post on his homepage that compares the price of gas today vs when President Obama took office, as if to blame Obama for the increase by insinuating Obama shut down energy production in the U.S. Last I remembered, the record price of gas was $4.06 on 7/14/2008. CBS News recently reported that during this July the U.S. had the highest oil production in the past 27 years. The U.S. is now and have been the worlds largest exporter of refined petroleum products (gas). The GOP will claim that during the waning days of the Bush administration gas prices were low. BUT that was because Bush and the Wall Street white color thugs Congressman Kanjorski warned us about sank the country into a near depression.
Meanwhile in Pennsylvania Tom Corbett and his Republican legislature just raised the state gas tax by 30 cents. If the President is so anti energy, then what’s with the gas wells in his district, as well as the new gas-fired power plants in Bradford and Lycoming counties. So much for Obama shutting down all domestic energy production. Notice he doesn't mention a thing about the big drop in natural gas prices either. Maybe his staffer was cleaning his gun when this was being rolled out.
Furthermore, Marino and the R's have opposed practically every piece of legislation that raised the fuel economy standards for our vehicles and energy efficiency standards for buildings. If Marino has his way we'd still be driving cars that get 10 mpg. Energy conservation has done just as much to reduce our dependence on foreign than all the oil wells drilled in the country. But the President and the Democrats are anti energy.
Maybe the GOP is just stuck in second gear on this issue. Just like all the other ones they block.

RACIAL TENSIONS ERUPT

The situation in St. Louis this week seems reminiscent of the 1960s The killing of another young black man by police has spawned looting, demonstrations, unnecessary force and tensions. This shows an example of a serious situation that has yet to be resolved in this country about issues regarding Law and Order, Crime, Justice and race.. How must we look to those countries in the Middle East, now in turmoil. We tried to impose our will of what freedom and democracy means on them.

AN E MAIL FROM THE PRESIDENT

So my e mail box is burning up big time with e mails from the big shots in Washington. I got one from the President himself the other day. It reads as follows:
Nancy Pelosi has emailed you.
Joe Biden has emailed you.
And now I’ve emailed you.
We wouldn't all be asking if it wasn't so important.
Right now, we’re being outspent 2-to-1 by Republican outside groups in key races. If we allow that to continue, Republicans could win their largest Congressional majority yet. And you know exactly what that would mean.
We can stop that from happening -- but I need you right now. We’re still coming up 37,715 donations short of our goal. Can I count on you today?
Sorry Mr. President, my money is targeted to a few races that are extremely important here at home. BUT I must commend the Democrats for working very hard to raise money in this challenging 2014 Fall election. Do you really want Ted Cruz running loose in a Majority Senate?

I was tooling around You Tube the other day and found this radio interview from last year featuring Philadelphia Daily News columnist John Baer. Baer tells the interviewers that if we judged a candidate on qualifications rather than politics, Tom Wolf would be hired as the Chief Executive of the state.

Gerald Ford in his first week as President seemed to be a great anecdote to the turmoil of the final days of the Nixon administration. Ford toasted his own English muffins and was lauded as a down to earth alternative to the more formal Nixon…
in Pennsylvania the race for United State Senate heats up when Democratic nominee Pittsburgh Mayor Pete Flaherty challenges incumbent GOP Senator Richard Schweiker to numerous debates…..in Luzerne County more jobs are added to the Owens Illinois plant in Pittston and 40 years ago this week the number one song in LuLac land and America was a rollicking song by Abba called “Waterloo”.

Seems to me our Community Organizer continues to come off weak and unsure. He uses "wimp words" hoping the mere fact that he addresses a crisis will solve it. And where are those posters who would "flame" the Professor for using SAT words and concepts?

When the hell are YOU going to call him out on it Yonk?

Afraid he'll drop you from the email list?

You sold out for spam, man.

Attention shoppers, there's a Black Feigned Outrage special in St Louis Missouri, for a limited time only. City wide clearance sale is on now, in downtown Ferguson. It's a "Quick Trip" to great deals! Everything must go, even the buildings up in smoke! Ferguson's having a FIRE SALE! They'll smoke the competition with their incredible offers! Get exclusive five finger discounts on great items, everything from shoes to electronics to alcoholic beverages! Stores open at 8, or whenever you can find a blunt object. Mention Michael Brown or Racial injustice and get a waver and pardon from the President. You can't beat these deals!

We know it's tough to be black in America. But it doesn't have to be. Take part in the Feigned Outrage sale on now and opportunistically stock up on home furnishings, cell phones, grape soda, tires, car stereos - anything you can get your hands on. Don't let white privilege deprive you of the things you're entitled to. Act now, it's only a matter of time before the SWAT team comes in and closes up shop.

Don't Miss It!!!

Starting to have second thoughts about Wolf. Been reading and hearing some unsettling things that are being revealed about him. Especially about the donations he is receiving from the Gas Companies! I don't think he is being all that open and honest about himself. He's not just the plain guy you see riding in his jeep. I think some more icing has to be scraped off to see what the cake really is underneath.

Marino, just like Barletta and most of all the other R's, are letting their hate for President Obama to cloud their intelligence and good judgement. Instead of working to fix the country's problems, what was the last thing they did before leaving for summer vacation - vote to sue the President? Now that's being real productive. No wonder this Congress has the lowest favorability rating in history.

Protest ... fine ... Looting and burning, not so fine. What the hell give those hoods the right to do that? Bring in the out of towners also, let the all go wild.
Bring in the national guard with loaded weapons and open up on those thugs and looters and really give the bastards something to bitch about. It's obvious, the real details have not come out yet and everything is still being sorted out. But hey, just give us a reason to loot and pillage in the name of getting justice.
I guess ol Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will cash in on this too. Were it a black cop who did the shooting, these grandstanders would be nowhere to be found.

Why is the default reaction to a perceived injustice to burn down a neighborhood or commercial area.

Yeah, let's torch or loot the places where we buy our stuff. Stealing the merchants goods really insures he will restock and pay the increased insurance premiums. Stupid.

No one wants to wait for the facts to be uncovered, vetted and released. It's like no one ever got out of 7th grade!

Me? Given the choice between the rioting mob and the militarized police, I welcome the cops who look like they are ready for anything. Note the word "ready".

Thankfully we learned our lesson from the California incident with the 2 heavily armed guys that robbed a bank and were met by the police who only had pistols.

I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS. WOLF IS A BUSINESSMAN WHO FUNDED HIS OWN CAMPAIGN. HE IS NOT A FLAMING LIBERAL. HE BEAT ALLYSON SCHWARTZ WHO WAS TO THE LEFT OF MANY PENNSYLVANIANS. HE BEAT ROB McCORD WHO WAS THE PARTY FAVORITE. HE HAS PARTNERED WITH A FORMER FOE, KATIE McGINTY. WHAT SPECIFICALLY MAKES YOU UNEASY? THE FACT THAT HE WANS TO LOOK AT EDUCATION IN A WAY THAT WIULL MATCH UP CLASSES TO JOBS IS SOMETHING NO ONE HAS EVER TRIED TO IMPLEMENT. IS IT THE BEARD??? JESUS!
Been reading and hearing some unsettling things that are being revealed about him.
LIKE WHAT???
Especially about the donations he is receiving from the Gas Companies!
I'M NOT FAMILIAR WITH THAT STATEMENT BUT IF HE DID, IS THE MONEY ANYWHERE NEAR WHAT CORBETT HAS GOTTEN THROUGH THE YEARS??
I don't think he is being all that open and honest about himself. He's not just the plain guy you see riding in his jeep. I think some more icing has to be scraped off to see what the cake really is underneath.
AGAIN, NOT UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU THINK YOU WANT HERE. THIS IS A GOVERNOR'S RACE, NOT CAKE BOSS. LOVE YOUR ANOLOGY BUT IT JUST DOESN'T APPLY.
I THINK, AND THIS IS NOT A SLAM AGAINST YOUR OPINION, I THINK PENNSYLVANIANS ARE SO USED TO THE "SAME OLD SAME OLD" THAT WHEN A DIFFERENT TYPE OF PERSON RUNS THEY EYE THAT CANDIDATE WITH SUSPICION.

I cant support Wolf and I cant debate with you about it. Call it instinct. At the same time I fully realize the damage Corbett has and will do. If I can overcome my doubts I will vote for Wolf. I would never vote for Corbett. The door is open for Wolf to convince me
and I sincerely hope he does.

8:11 here again. Don't get me wrong, I would still rather Wolf than Corbett. There can't anyone worse for this state than Corbett has been. I will definitely vote for Wolf. It just seems to me that I'm choosing the lesser of two evils again, and again, and again.

Dont know how old you are, but I feel I've been doing just that for years and years. Its a sad commentary. I just dont put any faith in politicians, what they say or what they represent themselves to be. I too dont trust Wolf to be what he says he is yet cannot vote for Corbett. Millionaires can not understand or relate to the problems of everyday working people and dont really care! I believe its my duty as a citizen to vote, but I may have to abstain this time.

At 10:15 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Never abstain, you're only throwing your vote away.

We cant bring a suburb of St Louis under control. How the hell do we suppose we can bring

Order and Law to another country anywhere in the world?

I am in favor of the right to peacefully protest and individual rights, but not when they cross the line into the same rights of another. Time to step in and clear the streets in Ferguson totally until things cool down. I don’t begin to claim to know what happened here. I can see the possibilities on both sides. At this point I doubt that the real truth will ever be known. But now protesters who cross that line must be arrested and charged. Sadly in many cases those in the right destroy their own righteousness with their actions. This proves that the same thing could happen any time in anyplace in America. Scary for those of us who saw this up close in the sixties. Unacceptable for all of us today.
