CLIMATE CHANGE
(Photo: snipview.com)
The President said he may not stay in the Climate Change agreement that 94 nations voluntarily joined last summer. There are only three countries not in. Ready?
Syria!
Nicaragua!
and the United States.
Now this is non binding but really, this “leader” has shunned the advice of scientists and will listen to a Cabinet member who sued the EPA unsuccessfully numerous times.
The REPUBLICAN LIE machine is alive and well saying that this agreement will eliminate industrial based energy jobs. 70,000 coal mining jobs are at stake vs thousands of alternative energy jobs.
If he leaves this deal,  alternative energy jobs will be lost here. And they will go to China and India! So the energy future will not belong to us and we'll be beholden to other entities again. Just like we were to foreign oil for so many years.
I’m in my 60s so I shouldn’t give a rat’s ass about any of this. By the time the ramifications of this hit, I’ll be in my new home across from the 30 MPH sign on Middle Road in that Mausoleum. But the kids and grand kids of the Trump voter will have a hellish environmental life because of this very stupid, uninformed dense man that people gave the reins to.

TRUMP UNITING THE COUNTRY!!!
JUST NOT OURS
(Photo: AP)
Martin Schultz is German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s main opponent in their election this year. But Schultz has slammed President Trump’s ignorant treatment of Merkel.
He said, “No freely elected head of government in our country should allow him — or herself — to be humiliated in this way, the way [Trump], like an autocratic leader, believed he could inflict humiliation in Brussels. Election campaign or no election campaign, in this situation let me be entirely clear: The chancellor represents all of us at summits like these. And I reject with outrage the way this man takes it upon himself to treat the head of our country’s government. That is unacceptable.”
Trump has pissed off our biggest ally! He has no clue what the trade deficit with Germany means and has united both contenders in the race.
He has united a country…..but done so by his spectacular ignorance and lack of respect as he undermines what this country, the United States, built!

JIM BUNNING
Me and Jim Bunning at Valley Forge, Pa. (Photo: LuLac archives).
One of my boyhood baseball heroes Jim Bunning passed away Friday night. Bunning pitched a no hitter for the Detroit Tigers in the American League and then that momentous 1964 Father’s Day Perfect game on June 21st, 1964. Bunning, number 14 had the most incredible follow through I ever say on a right hander. The ’64 Phillies collapsed in the stretch because the Manager Gene Mauch pitched Bunning and Chris Short on two day rest. I always felt that if Mauch had used a few Triple A pitchers (they had 40 guys on the roster after September 1, Bunning and Short would have had their stamina back. But I was 10 then and what the hell did I know!
Bunning was elected to Congress and then the U.S. Senate where he pretty much was totally opposite in most things I believed politically.
But for baseball……………………he was one of “my guys”. I met Bunning in 1982 at a baseball card show in Valley Forge. I got two sprained ankles the day before playing basketball in my back yard but I went.
It was the first time I met Bunning and the last time I touched a basketball.

REPS. CARTWRIGHT, POSEY INTRODUCE BIPARTISAN BILL TO INCREASE GOVERNMENT TRANSPARENCY
Congressman Matt Cartwright (Photo: LuLac archives)
U.S. Representatives Matt Cartwright (D-PA) and Bill Posey (R-FL) re-introduced legislation to make federal agency settlements more transparent. The bipartisan Truth in Settlements Act would require federal agencies to publicly disclose the terms of non-confidential settlements obtained from offenders. U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and James Lankford (R-OK) introduced companion legislation in the Senate.
This legislation would require federal agencies to disclose whether any portion of a non-confidential settlement is potentially tax deductible and post information about these settlements on their websites. Additionally, federal agencies would be required to provide an explanation if a settlement is deemed confidential.
“This bill is a commonsense measure to increase settlement transparency and accountability,” said Rep. Cartwright. “Taxpayers deserve to know key terms of these settlement agreements. If an agency reaches a settlement with an offender, then that agency must be willing to disclose the terms of the agreement or provide a good reason for not doing so.”
“When the law is broken and federal agencies decide to settle cases and impose massive fines, the public has a right to know why and what the details of such settlement agreements are,” Rep. Posey said. “This legislation will add more sunshine to the process and lead to more accountability for wrong doing in both the private and public sectors.”
Federal agencies often tout the topline amount of settlements obtained from offenders. All too often, this value is misleading because tax deductions built into the settlement reduce the settlement’s true value. Worse, agencies can deem settlements confidential without explanation, preventing public scrutiny altogether.
“Government accountability requires transparency, and that's what this bipartisan bill provides,” Sen. Warren said. “The Truth in Settlements Act will shut down backroom deal-making by shining a light on federal agency settlements with lawbreaking companies. More transparency means Congress, citizens, and watchdog groups can better hold regulatory agencies accountable for enforcing laws so that everyone - even corporate CEOs - are equal under the law.”

Let's see..
The Junior Varsity squad for the Religion of Peace, attacks a concert of young girls, Yonk says nothing.
Another squad from the very same Religion of Peace has declared a war on a portion of the Philippine Islands, Yonk says nothing.
A young girl is assaulted in his back yard of Wilkes-Barre, Yonk says nothing.
Kathy Griffin demeans and insults the memories and the families whose loved ones where beheaded by both the varsity and junior varsity of the Religion of Peace, (that it was a mock up of the President's head isn't relevant) Yonk says nothing.
But Trump is going to pull us out of an agreement that is all show and no go. An agreement that is more worthless than a parka on Oahu, a feel good agreement that does not one tangible thing to actually help the environment or protect the planet, Yonk throws a hissy fit.

IN RESPONSE

Story was last week, sorry I never got to add my two cents. Can't write about everything but feel free to contribute to a Write On Wednesday.

Another squad from the very same Religion of Peace has declared a war on a portion of the Philippine Islands, Yonk says nothing.

IN RESPONSE

If you are talking about the resort, it is still developing as far as I know.

A young girl is assaulted in his back yard of Wilkes-Barre, Yonk says nothing.

IN RESPONSE

That story still is in flux and there are more than a few sides to it. I don't comment on local conflicting reports. But it is odd that the WB Police did not ask for the video footage and the mother of the girl had to get it from the store.

Kathy Griffin demeans and insults the memories and the families whose loved ones where beheaded by both the varsity and junior varsity of the Religion of Peace, (that it was a mock up of the President's head isn't relevant) Yonk says nothing.

IN RESPONSE

I'm sorry TAHFQ got his litty itty bitty feelings hurt by this. It was horrific. Just as bad as Ted Nugent saying President Obama should be hung. BUT the silver lining is this, Kathy Griffin who I always thought was that ignorant woman in the bar at last call won't darken our New Year's Eve.
Trumpie gets his feelings hurt, Kathy's gone, a win win for me!

But Trump is going to pull us out of an agreement that is all show and no go. An agreement that is more worthless than a parka on Oahu, a feel good agreement that does not one tangible thing to actually help the environment or protect the planet, Yonk throws a hissy fit.

IN RESPONSE

I will attack his ignorance and self serving greed at every turn. While this is a non binding agreement, think about it, RUSSIA said yes to it.
BTW, since I have a job in the private sector and actually have accountability, unlike those in the political class or government class, my time is limited. Can't do everything.
Gotta live my life to the fullest to piss off people like you!
But hey, want to comment instead of throwing spitballs, go ahead. I'll always answer.

FLUX????????????????????????????? What the flux are you talking about????????
Adult slams a child to the ground, a step or two further back, we are talking manslaughter, police don't request video, which video's are not kept indefinitely, and if not for mom and WBRE this twat may never have been arrested.
Take off the Trump blinders. He is bad, he is awful, and he doesn't read your blog. The people struggling to get by under in your home are the ones who read your blog. We were drawn to it because of the emphasis on the local - you have forgotten what made you so successful and your hatred of a President, who's election was more the democratic party's fault than anyone else's, has steered you from what made you great.
Release your anger before it puts you into that early grave you have fought so hard to avoid. Become the man we all loved so much.

The most important issue with the Paris accords, which is a treaty without senate approval, is that it sets the table for 30, 40 and 50 years into the future. Trump is talking to, and supported by, people who are concerned about putting dinner on that table tonight.

It's my understanding that Nigaragua has gone heavily solar and so is part of the solution rather than the problem. Also, they are expected to join the Paris agreements. So, that leaves the U.S. standing alone with Syria. Nice company!

You really are a ****ing idiot, resort in the Philippines? ISIS has an entire city under siege. Perhaps, expand your scope of curiosity, and realize how Obama contributed to the rise of ISIS. As far as the beheading, your ignorance to my statements is as strong as ever. I specifically wrote that it had nothing to do with mock up of Trump, but the disregard it had to those who suffered at the hands of the Religion of Peace. While everyone is up and arms about a planet in which the climate has changed long before the advent of human beings, people continued to be slaughtered due to the blissful ignorance of those who don't get that war has been declared on us.

I'm a ****ing idiot? High praise from you!
What you may not realize is that the military who has been dissed by Trump actually has been fighting ISIS. Why do you think the beheadings stopped?
Because they are on the run thanks to the previous administration.

Trump kept a campaign commitment. Be upset, yet, he is doing what he said he was going to do, so it should not be a shock.
If you need to be upset on a daily basis, then direct your ire to those who actually deserve it, those who betrayed us - the democratic party.
They stacked the primary in favor of a vulnerable candidate, who has shown more than once, she doesn't respect or appeal to the traditional democratic base and does not have the skills to win on the national stage. She had a brilliant strategist on her team, and no matter the realities of their marriage, even he tried to steer the campaign to victory, yet, she turned a blind eye to his experienced advise.
Biden was forced to the sidelines, Bernie was railroaded, and any up and comers were discouraged by the DNCs coronation process.
It is time to take your anger and start blaming those who as you once suggested done to another, ****ed us up our collective asses with a splintered implement.
Don't blame Trump, don't blame Trump voters, don't blame Russia - blame the DNC, Clinton and Obama; it was there collusion that gave us this ****wad

True. But all that said, we got what we got. I'd like to write about something different every day but can't. It's the most turbulent time in our history and it can't be ignored.

Why? What doe writing about it every day actually accomplish?

I too, really miss my old friend's blog. A daily dose of heartburn will only lead to esophageal cancer.

Whether the poster is trolling or not, he or she's terminology is not original.
The Junior Varsity is what Obama termed ISIS/ISIL. It was his blind eye that allowed, what was an off-shoot, to become a major player.
Dave, as far as the beheadings no longer happening. That has less to do with Obama, than being a shift in focus. Those that have declared war on "The West," have grown in number, and their attacks have increased in unsophisticated inhumanity. While we worry about the power grid being hacked, they are using everyday items as implements to perpetrate their savage attacks.
They are exploiting a naivete and political correctness, waging a merciless war against a society who is following the rules of an antiquated convention. A convention that attempted to make something as cruel as war into a civilized endeavor. It is not possible to embrace barbarism with peace, love and understanding. We cannot have a peace with an enemy whose only goal is our destruction.
This enemy will not quit. They will not stop. They will continue unabated, until those under attack realize that logic, reasoning and rational thought cannot be applied to those who are illogical, unreasoning and irrational.

See you miss my point 3:10, and i left a few things out about that story in Oregon that were pertinent to your constant trolling about Muslims. I wanted to see how SMRT i mean SMART you are. Because you gripe about Muslims commiting violence yet seem to have no problem with some white guy bullying a couple of teenage girls, one who is muslim, and when two strangers try to get said white supremacist to knock his crap off, they get stabbed for their troubles. but sure go ahead and try and deflect as much as you want to try and make it seem like only Muslims are capable of such evil......sorry to say they aren't. and i know....i know thats not what you wanna hear and your gonna hit the room of whatever basement you make your troll cave home, but we Americans are starting to prove to be pretty hateful to people we don't like. just like you have been doing.

oh and by the way, imply pedophile behavior all you like towards me. Least i have the balls to put my name to a post i make. now go ahead and run along. we adults have things to do
