3 PHRASES YOU DON’T HEAR ANYMORE FROM THE RIGHT

"I WANT TO TAKE MY COUNTRY BACK!"

"WE’RE BECOMING A SOCIALIST NATION!"

"MY FREEDOMS ARE GOING AWAY"

Remember all of that? You haven’t heard those empty minded canards lately have you? It seems these were the rallying cries of the Conservative right wing and their minions just a few years ago.
But now there is no worry about taking their country back because there is a party in control that wants to cut out opportunity for the least among us. They are even trying to legislate a rollback of the voting rights act. I guess the key to taking the country back is bring it back to the late 1950s America when white was right and everything else was a less than.
While the definition of a socialist nation by the right seemed to be their dismay at having pennies of their taxes allocated for helping others in need (many of them working poor) it seems perfectly okay with this group to applaud President Trump’s and now the Republican Senators total embrace of Vladimir Putin’s Russia which is in fact worse than socialism. So I guess socialism is okay now with them.
When they said the freedoms were being taken away, I used to laugh and say that in no time in our history was anyone stopped at a state border and asked to show their papers. But yet now, people of color (Muslims who are even citizens) in some cases, are being stopped and asked for their paperers. Trump even wanted them to register in a data base.
The press has been vilified for reporting everything Trump has said and done. Yet there is an attack on this institution by the “loyalists” to Trump that everything the free press write is fake. So I guess it’s okay for some freedoms to be taken away as long as they are the right color and agree with options popular in the 40s.
You don’t hear those three phrases anymore because I guess this is what this group wanted all along. But their satisfaction and ease comes at the expense and detriment of more than 60% of people in this country.

GOP CONGRESSMAN SHUT HIS MOUTH ABOUT SEXUAL ABUSE AND CONTINUES TO DO SO
Right wing Freedom Caucus Lawmaker James Jordan (Photo: Wind.com)
The right wing Congressman from Ohio, Jim Jordan who is part of The Freedom Caucus has certainly been running his catty little mouth recently. At the Congressional hearing with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein Jordan was in a petulant mode reminding me of a spurned pre teen not invited to a sleepover.
But Karma is a bitch and Jordan has now been accused of turning a blind eye to sexual abuse as an Ohio State wrestling coach
The university announced in April that it was investigating accusations that Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005,  abused team members when he was the team doctor from the mid-1970s to late 1990s.
Jordan, who was assistant wrestling coach at the university from 1986 to 1994, has repeatedly said he knew nothing of the abuse until former students began speaking out this spring, and continued to deny it on Tuesday. His denials, however, have been met with skepticism and anger from some former members of the wrestling team.
Three former wrestlers told NBC News that it was common knowledge that Strauss showered regularly with the students and inappropriately touched them during appointments, and said it would have been impossible for Jordan to be unaware; one wrestler said he told Jordan directly about the abuse.
Former head coach Russ Hellickson, Jordan's mentor, said in a recent video — made by Mike DiSabato, a former wrestler — that Hellickson had told Strauss that he was being too "hands on” with students.
DiSabato, whose allegations against Strauss prompted Ohio State to open its investigation, called Jordan a “liar.”
“I considered Jim Jordan a friend,” DiSabato said. “But at the end of the day, he is absolutely lying if he says he doesn’t know what was going on.”
DiSabato said he reached out to Jordan this year, before going to the university, to tell Jordan that he planned to go public with his allegations. Jordan told him to “please leave me out of it,” DiSabato said. “He asked me not to get him involved.”
Please leave me out of it. This is the Republican brand of morality. They scream about Democratic improprieties, but they divorce their wives when they are sick, support a habitual liar and woman abuser when he runs for President, deny women’s health care…they stand up for all of that…..but they fail to protect the most vulnerable among us.To be clear,  Jordan never abused anyone but credible people say he knew about it and did nothing. It is ironic that the guy who wants answers from his own FBI, his own party members, grilling them with the snark of  spoiled, uniformed brat, now "doesn't want to talk about it!"
Jim Jordan, GOP hypocrite and coward. Add another one to the list! Big mouth, little cowardly man. (aolnews, LuLac)

BI PARTSIAN SENATE COMMITTEE SAYS RUSSIA INTERFERED IN ELECTION

The Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday backed up conclusions from U.S. intelligence agencies that Moscow interfered in the 2016 election with the aim of helping President Trump win, releasing an unclassified report which called the intelligence assessment solid.
“The Committee has spent the last 16 months reviewing the sources, trade craft and analytic work underpinning the Intelligence Community Assessment and sees no reason to dispute the conclusions,” said a statement from Sen. Richard M. Burr, a Republican from North Carolina who is the panel’s chairman.
Unlike the GOP House the bi partisan committee has its eye on the facts and history and is not carrying water for the Trump administration.
The report puts the panel at odds with Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee, who issued their own report this year, and the President, who has continued to denigrate the intelligence agencies’ assessment. Just last week, Trump did so once again, on Twitter. But this is a Republican led committee calling their great leader out! The question is just how long the GOP House and Senate will start believing their own standing committees instead of defending Trump? (CNN, LuLac)

WILKES BARRE HOLDS PROTEST OVER CHILDREN BEING SEPARATED

A few numbskulls on Facebook this week said that the protests against family separation in American cities on June 30th were only in liberal big cities. Well if they got into their street clothes and got out of the house instead of sitting in their boxers in front of a keyboard they might have seen a gathering of concerned citizens in not only Wilkes Barre but also Scranton.

Here are a few photos of the event taken by our friend Ben Hoon.

In Canada, Status Indians were given the right to vote…A riot broke out during the Newport Jazz Festival in Newport, Rhode Island, after a crowd of about 3,000 people, mostly white, were angry about a lack of seating for the concerts. Order was not restored until three companies of the state National Guard were sent in…former U.S. President Harry S. Truman said at a news conference in Independence, Missouri, that Democratic Party front runner John F. Kennedy lacked the maturity to be President, and that Kennedy should decline the nomination. Kennedy responded two days later, saying "I have encountered and survived every kind of hazard and opposition, and I do not intend to withdraw my name now, on the eve of the convention."…..

For the first time, a 50-star flag of the United States was hoisted, raised at 12:01 a.m. (EDT), at the Fort McHenry National Monument in Baltimore, and at the U.S. Capitol in Washington. At the time, there were only seven places in the United States where the national flag was permitted to be flown during hours of darkness.. Lyndon B. Johnson of Texas, the U.S. Senate Majority Leader, announced that he would seek, and expected that he would receive, the presidential nomination at the upcoming Democratic National Convention. Johnson asserted that front-runner John F. Kennedy had less than 600 of the required 701 delegates needed for a nomination, and that Johnson had at least 500. The only other candidate for the nomination was Senator Stuart Symington…….

in Pennsylvania both Governor Lawrence and Senator Clark say Johnson was a formidable candidate but his late entry would be a factor in him not succeeding…….and in the Wyoming Valley ceremonies are held at the Wyoming Monument celebrating Independence Day and 58 years ago the number one song in LuLac land and America was "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" by Bryan Hyland.

Here are three more you don't hear from the GOP:

"Gee, our President sure is smart."

"Gee, our President sure is a caring person."

"Gee, our President will get a second term."
